Chapter Sixty One - Happy Times

Natalie Grayson I felt presumably lighter as I walked through the mansion doors with a bright smile on my face. It was already night time when I left my family's home and after some delicious chicken made by Alice and her mate, I felt not only full but happier. Nolan seemed to notice my happiness and he was the first person I saw as I made my way into the kitchen. He beamed at me and wrapped his large arms around me, making me feel more safe. "Did you go to meet your parents?” he asked as he pressed a soft kiss to my cheek. "Yeah, and I patched things up with them. Sorry if you were making dinner for us," I responded, noticing how there was a pot on the stove and two plates next to each other on the dining table. I suddenly felt a little guilty. "No, no, it's fine. I am not that hungry, and I am sure that the maids would like some already made dinner anyway,” he brushed it off with his hands still on my waist. I frowned slightly as I heard his stomach rumble. He blushed and chuck

Chapter Sixty Two - Explanations And Forgiveness

Nolan WalterI held onto Natalie's hand tightly, afraid that I might lose her both figuratively and physically as we weaved through the crowd of pack members who were blocking our path. We were running five minutes late to her family's dinner and since we were currently walking there, it was taking us even longer to get to the destination. It could have been an easy five-minute drive, if Natalie didn't insist we walk there to savour the view of the environment. I had rolled my eyes at her silly suggestion, but we actually went through with it. I felt a large smile creep up my face as I felt her hand tighten around mine. It comforted me and my wolf to know that she happy as we saw the yellow practically burst through her body. If she was happy, then I was happy too. Her family had insisted we go out to one of my pack’s diners, and I had recommended my favorite place. They agreed to the suggestion and had decided to go there. Of course, Natalie seemed to know the way even though my p

Chapter Sixty Three - Sweet Moments

Natalie Grayson "Where are we going?" I asked softly as I folded some clothes into a suitcase. I grunted as some of the clothes fell out of the suitcase because I had seemingly gotten all my clothes and stuffed them into two suitcases which were half my size. I heard Nolan chuckle behind me as he laid on the bed. Since he couldn't really see, I had to pack for him and it was really hard work. "It is a surprise, babe,” he said, beaming. My face immediately heated up from the nickname. This was new. "I hate surprises,” I whined as I finally managed to zip up the damn suitcase, before I huffed in relief. "I promise, you will like this place. I made sure it was where you would like," he said softly. "Just because you run a company and all, you think you know people,” I grumbled under my breath, making sure that he could still hear me. "How do you know about my company?" he asked curiously, rising up from his seat and looking at me. "From your sister and her friends," I replied as I

Chapter Sixty Four - A Family Dinner

Natalie Grayson“Natalie, you are home!" my siblings screamed in pure happiness as they tackled me to the ground. Beth, Dave and Matt wrapped their arms around me, practically suffocating me and pushing me to the floor as they laughed. We were finally back to my old house, a place I used to call my home and would still always be. My parents stood by the front door, tears dropping from their eyes. When I got a chance to stand up, I ran to hug them, the smell of my mother's cooking lingering on their clothes as I kissed both of them on the cheeks. Nolan came up behind me and gave my mother a kiss on the cheek and my father a small handshake, before they ushered us inside. Our driver had already started to take the bags out, and the Beta of my old pack was helping too. I looked around the familiar living room, gulping back emotions because of the things that had happened in here just before I left. The scene of Nolan's guards choking my siblings and my father laying unconscious on the

Chapter Sixty Five - Jealousy And A Bit Of Control

Nolan Walter I held Natalie's hand protectively as we sat on the table surrounded by her family members and the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of her pack. The Alpha's son had recently taken up the task of becoming the Alpha and his chosen beta and gamma had taken up their titles too. The new Alpha was quite an asshole because for a young Alpha, he was already showing neglection and major ignorance to world wide matters but other than that, the pack seemed to respect him. However, his Beta was tempting me to punch him in the face, because not only was he casually flirting with Natalie, but he also seemed to disrespect me by calling me by my first name. It agitated me and my wolf and I could tell that Natalie was also feeling uncomfortable. I had yet to meet this Drew of a guy but I was informed that I had already met him previously when I picked up Natalie from her house for the first time and well, it had gone terribly wrong. My wolf was on edge about meeting him because Natalie seemed ve

Chapter Sixty Six - Tears And Understanding

Nolan WalterIt was ten minutes past eleven at night and Natalie hadn't come back yet. I sat on her bed waiting patiently for her to come back home. My wolf kept pestering me to go and find her, but I wanted to give her time to hangout with her friends. Still I couldn't help but feel as if Drew was responsible for her being out so late because he didn't seem to like me at all. "Nolan, honey, go to sleep. I am sure that Natalie will come home soon," Mrs. Grayson said but I shook my head in disagreement as I sighed out. "I want to wait for her, Mrs. Grayson," I told her and I could see her aura nod before she left, probably to go to sleep. "Goddess, Natalie, please come home," I mind-linked her, but I could feel that she had blocked it, probably because she didn't want me breathing down her neck, figuratively anyway. I waited patiently on her bed for another five minutes until I heard the front door click open and voices could be heard down stairs. She was finally here. I smiled but

Chapter Sixty Seven - Cute Little Moments

Natalie Grayson "Goddess, I am so sorry, Drew,” I apologized profusely as he sat on Alice's bed battered and bruised like a dropped potato. His reply was only a mere chuckle as he gave me a small smile before he nodded slowly. "It is alright. I was the one who pushed his buttons. He is an Alpha, after all," he said as he coughed out. I gave him a grim smile and lightly held his hand in comfort. "He treats me well, don't worry. Even after everything, he treats me well,” I told him, trying to get him to relax about the issue of Nolan. He seemed to relax a little bit before he sighed. Then he placed his head back into the pillow and looked up at the ceiling. "Thank the Moon Goddess for that. I am really glad. Where is that big ol' Alpha, anyway?" he joked, a brilliant smile coming over his bruised face, and his relief gave me relief too as I returned the smile. "He is cooling off. I think he is with the pack's Alpha at the moment," I said, remembering that the Beta had announc

Chapter Sixty Eight - More Of Jealousy And Understanding

Natalie Grayson I felt tiny under his hard gaze, and being in a small booth made me feel confined as I felt the slight burst of jealousy zip through me. I hated feeling this way. He was only talking to one of the waitresses with a smile and she smiled back, but why did I even feel like this? Sure, that waitress was clearly taking a liking to him and he was very much attractive, I knew that. But even so, I still felt like ripping her head off. "What is wrong, babe?" he asked in confusion. Nolan was clearly clueless of the tiniest things, but I didn't blame him. It was nothing serious than just being jealous. He had been through that before. I mean, I only just had to take a look at Drew. "It is nothing," I said, brushing the issue off as I eyed the waitress who was at his back. She was was glancing at him every so often as she took someone else's order. Goddess, I really wanted her to disappear. "It is obvious that something is wrong. Tell me, is it the food?” he questioned, not y

Chapter Sixty Nine - A Lot Of Excitement

Natalie Grayson It was the end of the week and I had started to pack up my things for the surprise trip to only the Goddess and Nolan knew where. I felt a rush of deja vu, and it felt like when I had to go with Nolan when we first met, yet I felt more excited and happier to explore the world just like I wanted to do so long ago. My hands tingled with excitement as I arranged some of the clothes I was taking along on the trip into a suitcase and zipped it up. I breathed a sigh of relief because I knew I only had one more suitcase to go. Then I heard a soft knock on the door and I looked over to see who was knocking. Nolan was standing there with a bright smite plastered on his face and he walked over to me. I stood up and looked at him with an equally bright smile. "Hey, woah!" I gasped as he immediately pulled me into a warm hug, his heat radiating off me and I wrapped my arms around him tightly. I loved the feeling of his arms wrapped around me. “I missed you,” he admitted softly

Chapter Seventy - Words Of Affirmation

Natalie Grayson “It is so freaking huge!" I squealed in delight as he opened the door to reveal the place we would be staying in. I had honestly dreamed of coming here a lot of times, and it was a miracle to be able to see this amazing place. The room felt like it was open planned and almost every wall had large transparent glassed windows, but with curtains to make sure it was private enough. The bed was white with some over overhanging bug net which was also white. The frames were made out of some dark orange wood which complimented the white paint. The furniture was made of the same type of wood as well and the floors were made with hardwood which made the place feel more natural and homelike. It sounded weird to say it felt like home, but I guessed anywhere Nolan was, was home too. “I got it made specifically for us," Nolan hummed in satisfaction as he roamed the place with me. I started to take pictures every once im a while with my new camera, and I hoped to capture enough
