♧,Chapter Eleven; ARE YOU JEALOUS?♧

Jason's eyes couldn't have gone any wider. With his jaw hanging, he stared at the back of June's head. But the latter wasn't done yet as she stepped menacingly towards the old woman and mouthed the words; "fuck off Theodosia."And then poof, June was no longer in the living room and Jason had no idea what to do first, apologise to Theodosia or chase after his mate."I'm, I'm..." he started but dashed off before he could finish. ♧Chapter Twelve; REJECTING THE LUNA?♧

The sun was yet to rise the next morning by the time Jason heard his mate sneaking into their room. He turned and looked over his shoulder at her. He was stationed at the reading table, the pencil in hand poised few inches away from the thick book in front of him. The moment his eyes met hers, she seemed to freeze on the spot, allowing him to take in her appearance. Her disheveled hair, wide eyes, rumpled blouse and rapid chest movements. His forehead seemed to scrunch up as his nostrils began to pick up a different smell around her. It was a musky masculine smell. The smell mixed with hers in a way it shouldn't. It merged with hers like as though she'd had sex with the owner of the musky smell. Now the widening of Jason's golden brown orbs happened so slowly it was almost funny. His wolf went wild in his head, causing his orbs to glaze with fury. While she just stood there with her back to the closed door, staring at him candidly. She noticed his shallow breaths and immediately kne

♧Chapter Thirteen; WOLF OR CHICKEN??♧

She had her mousy hair held up in a side pony that danced along her back while she skipped leisurely towards the entrance of the pack house. Ian had adviced Antara not to go disturbing June as she was the Luna now but Tara had zealously refused, stating she had to visit her sister as she can't go so long without getting a glimpse of June. However, when she climbed up the steps and beheld the two able bodied guards that stood mounted on either side of the grand doors peering down at her, she felt intimidated. The sun peeked stylishly through the clouds as it rose. A lukewarm softness characterized the morning breeze. The birds sang aloud while Antara looked up at both guards with her mouth clamped shut."You have to state to us your mission for coming here young lady." One of the guards then said in a relaxed baritone voice."Oh," Tara squeaked "I'm here to see my sister, your Luna."The guard nodded and gestured for Antara to step in but deep down, he personally did not know if the L

They say been numb is when you no longer react properly to feelings. When your response to the depth of emotions swirling around you is simple indifference. You can no longer differentiate between when your sad, angry, depressed or just stressed.Having noted this on paper, it's safe to say June was numb. Walking out of Regina's room, she no longer knew what she felt. She found it difficult to react to the events happening around her. Taking a turn down to her room, she couldn't even tell if her lungs were still receiving oxygen. Her head felt heavy. Reaching out for the door knob to her room, she cracked the door wide open. ♧Chapter Fifteen; SIDE BY SIDE LET'S SAY GOODNIGHT♧

The more you look, the less you see. The more she looked, the less she saw. She no longer saw her dad or her aunt Biff. She saw two strangers who were set to rip her heart out and tear it to shreds. She no longer saw her big teddy, her five, she saw a man who has no regard for his late mate and what they shared. A man so willing to let go of his past like it never even happened. She no longer saw her friendly chess rival, her mother's look alike, she saw a woman she couldn't care less about her sister to throw all her memories away. She saw a woman who also wanted to forget all about her mate and take someone else's position. June felt disgusted. And when a pair of big caramel orbs collided with hers she felt on the brink of breaking. Big bright orbs that belonged to Ian. He looked elated to see her. He even waved at her, gesturing at her to come over but she looked away coldly. Tara waved back though. Oblivious. "So cute." Palmer cooed, blindly reaching out to sip another spoon of t

She woke up with her face buried deep into his chest, her left arm slung around his hips. He lay dead asleep beneath her while she savoured the occasional rise and fall of his chest beneath her head. She popped her eyes open only to immediately shut it afterwards as they were having difficulty adjusting to the rays of the early morning sun that peeked through cracks in the thick velvet curtains. Letting out an unladylike groan, she twisted and turned in her position. The upper half of her body was glued to his, the other half tangled in the silk bed sheets. Her movements caused him to stir, tightening his grip on her. His arms were inter locked around her lower back, he was no doubt still deep in sleep. June however, was awake but her mind was foggy. She lifted her head and placed her chin on his chest, cracking open her eyelids to look at him. His lips stayed parted as he breathed through them, his hair a mess like hers but it looked knee weakening good on him. His head was lolled a

Author's brief note

Hey,How have we enjoyed the book so far?I'm sure by now we've been able to pick up on how much of a complex character June is. We know not what she'll do next; she's unpredictable. And we know not why she does the things she does.I do hope though, as we read on, all our questions will be answered and we'll get to understand June better. Please know, every character in this book is unique in his/her own way and serve a special purpose in the book. This story won't exist without them. And I try my best to make them practical and convey their thoughts and emotions to the best of my ability. And Jason? How do we all feel about our Alpha.Personally, I also consider Jason Harold to be complex in his own way. His thoughts and feelings make up his total being. He may be less diverse than June but trust me, he's just as intriguing. We'll get to know him better as we read on.Also I replaced the dagger with a katana instead, because I did my research and figured a katana would he be a mor

♧Chapter Eighteen; ECLIPSE'S NUMBER ONE COUPLE♧

He strolled out of the den behind his father while the elders made their exit. Loosening the red tie he had on, another image of her flashed in his head. Now, I wouldn't say he didn't care about whatever it was that was going on right now with Gorah and Jason, but he cared more, a whole lot more about how much of a coward he is, like honestly, who runs away from their mate? Well Richards Shaw did."...it was a delight." He zoned back in on the conversation his father was having with Clover, head of the council and that was all he could pick up before guards came around and escorted him out of the pack house entirely. "That was...whoo!" His father turned to him with an exasperated exhale. "Don't you think the Luna was right?" Richards asked with his palms shoved deep into his pants pocket. His father shook his head, "She shouldn't of contested the alpha's decision. She obviously doesn't know what it's like." He said the last sentence in a whisper while subtly eyeing the open entrance

♧Chapter Nineteen; CANVAS AND WINDOW♧

A letter came in for the Luna and was brought up to her room by a servant the next morning. She just got out the bathroom and heard the soft knock on the door. She hurried to get it with her hair dripping water and shrivelled fingertips."Good morning Luna," the bubbly brunette smiled and June nodded. "A letter just came in for you." She held the cream coloured envelope for June to grab.Skeptically, june reached for it and subsequently perused it. "Thank you." She responded, holding on the steel handle of the door. The servant nodded with a smile before taking off. June closed the door, leaned against it and read the sender's address on the envelope. The letter came from her house, the homely place she'd grew up in and she instinctively knew her dad wrote this. Her stomach churned. He was reaching out to her. But she didn't want to be reached out to. He seems happy without her, without his late mate. Why reach out to her?Exasperatedly, she flung the letter across the room and it lan
