CHAPTER 61

LUKA’S POV I wasn’t expecting that reaction from Crystina. I knew we had a heated argument before I came downstairs but I didn’t expect her to gag because Luna Ruth wanted to shake her hand. So, instead of waiting, I quickly apologized to Mellissa’s mom and ran after Crystina. She covered her mouth with a hand while trying to force the toilet door in my office open. Quickly, I intervened and opened the door for her. She ran into the bathroom and that was when I realized she didn’t fake it, she actually felt nauseous for real. I bent down and held her hair for her so it won’t get messed up. I ran my hand through her back, calming her down, and said some soothing words till she stopped. “Are you okay?” I asked her once she was done. She shook her head and opened her eyes slightly. “I feel a little bit dizzy,” I kissed her hair as we both sat on the floor of my office. I was holding her in my hands and I could feel her lukewarm temperature. “You’ll be fine, I promise. Do you want m

CHAPTER 62

CRYSTINA’S POVIt’s been three days since I found out I was pregnant and things haven’t been the same for me. I couldn’t stop thinking about how I’d lost every bit of freedom that was left for me. This pregnancy is an end game for me. If I have this child, I wouldn’t be able to do anything for myself anymore. I’ll have to stay beside Luka for the rest of my life. I’ll have to be his trophy woman for as long as I live. This wasn’t what I wanted. This wasn’t the way I planned it and I’m so stupid for giving in several times to Luka without thinking of what the effect would be. I keep turning and tossing through the night, finding it difficult to sleep. I could hear Luka’s heavy breathing and footsteps at an interval and I knew he wasn’t sleeping as well. He was probably busy with work. By morning, I’d browsed the ten thousand ways to get rid of a child. The safest was going back to the hospital but I doubt if they would perform the procedure without telling Luka about it. I wish I wa

CHAPTER 63

Luka's POV "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? Ever since Crystina came into my life, I never thought there would be a moment where I would cry this hard, and hate myself this much. She hates me, I know that and I understand that but trying to hurt our baby, a child that doesn't have anything to do with this is too extreme. Even if she doesn't want the child, she should at least discuss this with me before trying to find a way to get rid of the baby. I've been waiting for her to tell me she was pregnant, I've been waiting for her to share the big news with me but each day, that hope gets deflated and I knew I had to take action before she could hurt herself. I thought if she quit her job at the school and return to the mansion, she would have enough people to look after her and take care of her and she would get enough rest but instead, I didn't know she was busy trying to find a way to get rid of the baby. I didn't mean to go through her phone or even check her browsing history. I came back h

CHAPTER 64

Crystina's POVOn my way to work on Monday, I couldn't get Luka's request out of my head. A part of me wanted to do just as he wanted but another part of me didn't want that to happen. I don't even understand what I want for myself. I've always wanted to be free, to be able to leave this pack, and now that I finally got the opportunity, I'm having this weird thought. Well, five months are enough for me to get prepared to leave. Luka left the room after our conversation and I didn't see him again. I know he would probably never look at me the same way again. I'm a potential murderer, the potential killer of his child. If I have the chance to make an option, I'll leave the pack now and come back with his child in nine months because how am I supposed to stay in the same place with someone who hates me? How am I even supposed to stay in a place that I hate? I didn't know I wasn't wary of my surrounding until I collided with a hard surface and when I finally regained my senses, I reali

CHAPTER 65

Crystina's POV"How was your day, Luna?" Miss Mary welcomed me as I walked into the apartment. I didn't even know she would be around. What does this trophy Luna know anyways? "What's going on?" I asked. I wasn't angry about her presence but rather I was confused because I could see some bags and stuff that didn't belong to me. I wasn't even expecting to come home to meet so many things lying around here. "What are those?" I pointed to the bags before she could give an answer to my previous question. She clicked my tongue. "One question at a time, Luna," She winked."Sorry about that, I was just confused for a minute," She waved it off. "That's okay. These are my bags and those ones," She pointed to the ones closer to the door. "Are for Alpha Luka," "I guess he's moving out and you're moving in," She nodded. "Exactly, we'll be turning the extra pantry into a small room for me because I'll be staying here with you, for the time being, the construction guys are currently in there,

CHAPTER 66

Luka's POV"WHO DELIVERED IT?" I asked my Beta, Baba. I was at home when I got a call from him asking me to come over to the pack office as soon as possible. I thought it wasn't something urgent so I took my time but by the time he called me again the second time, I realized it was not only urgent but then important. As I walked into the packhouse, I could tell from the faces of some of my warriors present that something bad was going on. I got into my office and was welcomed by a threat note from the so-called Draenei. He didn't actually state his proposition but asked me to be on alert because he can ask for what belongs to him in a short time."We don't know how the letter got here but we only found it here this morning," I turned to the warriors who were on patrol last night."Did you see anyone suspicious last night?" Their leader took a step forward and replied, "No, Alpha Luka, we didn't see anyone not to talk of a suspicious person," I hit the letter against his chest. I re

CHAPTER 67

Crystina's POV I woke up this morning feeling sick and weak so I stayed back home instead of going over to school. When Miss Mary asked if anything was wrong, I told her I was totally fine, just not mentally ready for classes. I know I shouldn't have lied to her but I knew if I told her I was sick, she would be all over me and even inform Luka about it. It wasn't like I was dying but my body needed the rest. "Are you feeling better?" Samer asked. He had come to visit me at the packhouse after I was absent from school. He was supposed to be here together with Paige but Paige stopped at their apartment for a few minutes before she would meet us on the ground floor. I hadn't said anything since he arrived. We've been silent and I guess he got tired of the silence and decided to say something. "Yeah, I'm good. I've been to the hospital and I've been told I'm good," I went to the hospital behind Mary's back because I didn't want her to know I actually went to the hospital for treatmen

CHAPTER 68

Crystina's POVAfter we left the packhouse, we headed for the cinema. Samer wouldn't stop talking about a new movie that he wanted us to see so we agreed and followed him down there. "Are you sure you saw Luka?" I asked Pearl again. After she told me she had seen him at the Packhouse looking for me, I became uncomfortable. I sent him a text asking if he needed to see me but I got no response. "Yeah, we came down the elevator together. Once I saw you with Samer, I turned to point you out to him but he was gone," She answered. I sighed. I couldn't really wrap my head around why he needed to see me. Did Mary tell him I didn't go to work today? What did he want? Is it really important? Has he changed his mind about the pregnancy? "Relax, Crystina, I'm sure he just wanted to be sure that you're fine," Paige assured me and I forced a smile. No one really knew the state of our relationship. I was the Luna that Luka wanted for himself and his pack and I don't think I'll ever be more than

CHAPTER 69

Crystina's POVThroughout the rest of the night, I could hardly stay for one more minute. The only reason why I sat still was because of the agreement between Luka and me. I didn't want to do something stupid that'll later cause a problem for me so I waited, and endured till the horrible dinner was over. I had to swallow every mouthful of the meal with force. It was hard to eat when I was already on the verge of breaking down. Mellissa and her mom won't stop talking about some silly stuff and laughing as loudly as possible. I was begging the universe to assist them in finishing their meal so I would walk out of that mansion and never return. They seldom got Luka involved in their conversations but it wasn't any of my business. I didn't care about what was going on or whatever it is that they were talking about. I only care about leaving. When I realized they weren't any minute close to being done with their meal, I dropped my cutleries on the plate, pulled out my chair, and got read

CHAPTER 70

Luka's POVMy eyes followed Crystina as she walked away and for a few minutes, I contemplated following her but I stopped because she would probably tell me to fuck off if I did. She was unbelievably stubborn and I hope nothing happens to her tonight. The wolves were on patrol anyway so I guess she'll meet some of them on the way and they'll follow her back. I walked back into the house to see Luna Ruth and her daughter exchanged a smirk. "I see you're finally getting out of her whims and lies, Alpha," I clenched my fist. I hadn't said anything to them because I was hoping the dinner would end peacefully but the heavens know they took it too far. "I would be making a personal request to your husband to have you both called back to your pack by morning," "That's a deep sign of disrespect. You dare not do that, Luka, or else you'll be losing a lot of things," I folded my arm against my chest. "Good. Then, let's see who loses the most at the end," I understand what her threat was a
