CHAPTER 69

Crystina's POV

Throughout the rest of the night, I could hardly stay for one more minute. The only reason why I sat still was because of the agreement between Luka and me. I didn't want to do something stupid that'll later cause a problem for me so I waited, and endured till the horrible dinner was over. I had to swallow every mouthful of the meal with force. It was hard to eat when I was already on the verge of breaking down.

Mellissa and her mom won't stop talking about some silly stuff and laughing as loudly as possible. I was begging the universe to assist them in finishing their meal so I would walk out of that mansion and never return. They seldom got Luka involved in their conversations but it wasn't any of my business. I didn't care about what was going on or whatever it is that they were talking about. I only care about leaving.
