Chapter 4 ADRIA’S POV “Definitely, she must have had a thing with the other history professor that made him always extremely commend her.” One said “Yeah, while we were off in the library, reading hard, she was busy f**king the Professor, in return for an A. That’s disgusting.” Another replied. There were so many messages, and I couldn’t help but scroll through them, all at once. Tears filled my eyes, and I tried hard to fight them back as I didn’t want to be seen as a weakling. My friends began attacking them back on the group chat, and even at that, I still didn’t feel better. What had been said had been said, and Professor Lucien didn’t quite see me as the clever girl every Professor saw me as. It meant it could be difficult for me to get an A if I don’t satisfy him with my answers. I watched as he walked out of the class, after teaching, and I couldn’t bear to stay in school for now, so I ran out of the class, and headed home. I got home, and cried myself out, feeling bitter
