I woke up as night fell. I instantly knew that Dominique was no longer with me. I sighed as I sat up. I got in the shower, dressed, went to the third floor, and got a pack of blood out of the refrigerator. After tasting Dominique’s blood, it wasn’t the same. I had never cared for the prepackaged blood from the blood bank, but you have to do what you have to do. Occasionally, I would go out and catch an unsuspecting victim and have fresh blood.
