1. A new place to start over

ARIA I stood before the grand mansion, a place I had called home for most of my life. Despite the surrounding darkness of the forest, the house seemed to emit its own light. "Aria, it's time to go!" My mother called out from the car, the sound of the slamming door indicating that this was the last time I would see this house. With a deep sigh and a heavy heart, I turned away from the mansion and walked towards the car with my hands buried in my hoodie pockets. "Goodbye, Twilight Grove," I whispered to myself. ────── "Who's the kid?" A customer at my mother's flower shop asked. Since our move to Willow Stone, people had been curious about my name. My mother had opened her own shop so that we could work together and not be separated. "Stanley, stop pestering Pandora for her daughter's sake," a man interrupted, placing a rough grip on Stanley's shoulders and making him squirm playfully. The man's words made my mother laugh as she arranged the flowers they had purchased for their w

2. Encounters

I move quickly through the dark abyss that surrounds me. Everything is pitch-black, and I am lost. The last thing I remember is the pain of something, or someone, tearing apart my soul. This day has been filled with strange and inexplicable events, such as freshly-picked flowers wilting and a mysterious voice whispering in my head. Perhaps I am unlucky in this town. "Hello?" I call out, my voice echoing through the seemingly endless void of darkness. Fear grips me as I wonder if I am trapped here. The sound of my racing heart is the only thing I can hear. Exhausted and weak, I stop and slump down on the ground. I stare into the darkness, tears streaming down my face. "Mate will get us out of here," a disembodied voice lulls, offering some comfort. I let out a heavy sigh and cry freely, unable to contain my emotions. Suddenly, I feel someone embrace me. I sniff and wipe my eyes, recognizing the familiar scent and warmth. "You again?" I ask, looking up. The darkness has disappeared,

3. Lie vs Truth

"The Royal Blood has arrived," the man with piercing features and curly hair declared, his voice shining with an eerie glow. My gaze was instantly drawn to the details of his appearance, and I couldn't help but wonder if his sharp features extended to his fangs. I found myself trapped in this dark fort, yet I couldn't bring myself to panic. Instead, I held onto the hope that this was all just a nightmare and I would soon wake up at the front desk with my mother scolding me. But then, the man spoke to me, snapping me back to reality. "How did you find your way here?" "I didn't. I was running away from someone," I whispered, my hand fidgeting nervously in my lap. The man hummed as he began to pour a crimson liquid into a golden chalice. "Tea?" he offered with a sinister smile, revealing his fangs. I shivered at the thought of drinking human blood and desperately hoped that it was animal-based, but I knew all too well that creatures like him preferred their blood freshly drawn from t

4. Danger of past

ARIAI sat on a high chair designed with red leather and plastered with gold as a design. As Kai and Jax were still arguing, he brought me here. The silver dagger continued to vanish and reappear. Every time it showed, all I could do was hiss in agony. Bullets of sweat aggressively roll down my forehead."Aria, where have you been?"The familiar voice made me jolt from the chair, and a smile slowly crawled to my lips.I excitedly muttered, "Narcissa?" My sight went everywhere, just to locate her seated on the wood at the high ceiling with her feet moving simultaneously."You're a ghost, like me!"I gave a slight nod. Sadness suddenly overtook me when I realized how lonely she must have been. I was lucky since Jax and Kai could see me. Only I could see Narcissa. We have bonded since I was a child, and her appearance never changes."Something weird is happening. Hopefully, this is a dream, and you're here to save me."Narcissa pursued her lips while squinting her eyes."No?" I shake my he

5. The betrayal

ARIAI ran across the shabby living room in an attempt to escape Narcissa, the crushed bricks and pieces of wood scattered pierced my feet, but I couldn't feel the pain near the mid entrance where Kai flew when I punched him, based on Jax's hoax story."Aria, running sucks. I want to fly." Narcissa mutters as she slowly stops running while fake panting hard from running. I mean, she's a ghost, and I am, too, except for the flying part. But I am sure I can teleport like I did when I landed here at Kai's house."I can't fly, and you can. That's unfair." Narcissa shrugs. She bends her knees and jumps in the air without the need to land back down. I am jealous. "This is not fun.""Tell that to my invisible wings!"The smell of strong coffee lingered in the air. My attention quickly changed from Narcissa to the source of an excellent-smelling coffee."Like my coffee?" The man who claimed to saw everything a while ago teased. He whirls the cup while giving it a soft blow with his rugged smi

6. Sacrifices

ARIA I stood by the door while waiting on Jax and Kai. "It was like slenderman, but more slender!" I hear Jax exclaims, his voice running through the hallway. Remembering the look on Jax’s face when Kai was sucking the daylight out of me, his eyes sent a sting inside me. Like something was dying within me without knowing what it was. The door slowly creaks open making me dash towards the bed and threw myself on the soft mattress, loads of dust flew in the air after I jumped on the bed. "Doesn't Kai sleep here?" "Who told you to play with my bed?" Kai’s voice strikes my ear, I quickly turn my back and met his eyes. "No one, you already let me sit here awhile ago, so I assumed that I can lay here too?" "Get out, I need to check on something." Kai walks passed me, and the cold trail hits my face. I could only sigh in frustration when I remember who puts Kai into a bad mood. I stomped out of the room with a heavy feeling lingering inside me. Walking through the hallway, I can feel

7. Her

JAX Peering around the corner behind the tree, there I spotted Aria and Kai facing away from me. It's the same flower shop where I found Aria. She's with the guy who found her second. Thinking about what the shadow said, something doesn't add up. Even my wolf is losing communication with me and I don't even know why. Bracing myself, I watched them enter the shop. Swaying back and forth to get a better view over the glass of the shop, the last thing I saw was Kaizel's hands resting on Aria’s lower back. "Filthy blood-sucking pig." "What are you doing here on my territory?" I hear a voice behind me. I turn around and saw Connor the alpha of my sub-pack. Sometimes he can be too close when he smells something unusual. "Unfortunately, this territory is still my pack." "This is not the mainland, therefore, I am the alpha here." Connor shrugs, turning his head to where I was staring then his gaze landing on me. "You're stalking someone," He smiles innocently. I shake my head, not read

8. Turning

"Lillith? That's a beautiful name." I adore her, she looks like the softest fluff, but her eyes say otherwise. "How come you never knew me?" The fire in her eyes slowly fades, and her expression turns into a frown. I was only silent. She's right, what am I missing out on? "I'm sorry," "Go back," "Where?" I smoothed her white fur. Lillith is a part of me and she's beautiful. "Go back to kaizel," "Who's Kaizel?" "Kai," Lillith went silent for a while. My eyes widened when I remembered why I ended up here. "You can't stay here, she'll find you." My wolf warns, she slowly lowers her head to push me away with her snout. I felt her breathing like she was alive. "Who will?" "Eris Edana the royal blood." "What does she want from me? I'm nothing special." I tilt my head, not wanting the idea of going back if it means I won't see Lillith again. "You are," Before I could answer and ask more questions, Lillith blew cold air strong enough to take me flying into the air. "No, Lillith!"

9. Welcome to Jax's world

"Is she your mate?" "Yes," Jax replied. "Why aren't you taking action? Her scent is all over the place, and it won't take long for them to know that your mate is not human!" "I'll turn her back. Get the Lycan Beta and keep this to yourself, or I'll snap your neck. Hurry!" As I came out of my trance, I found myself in a familiar room, lying in a king-sized bed. The voices from before echoed in my mind, could it have been Jax speaking? What did he mean by what he said? Jax entered the room, holding a tray of food. "You're already awake?" Ignoring him, I got out of bed and headed towards the door. "Where are you going?" he asked. "Home," I replied. "At least eat what I prepared for you," Jax suggested. "You mean, what your servant prepared?" I shot back, noticing the disgusted frown on his face. "Why the attitude?" he asked. I shrugged and opened the door, leaving the room without another word. The place felt like a pit of hell, with everyone staring at me as I walked past. I

10. Turned

I stood in silence, observing the man in front of me. His silver hair gave him the appearance of an old man, but his voice betrayed his age. "What are you staring at?" he asked, a sly smile on his face as he remained seated in his chair, as though I were an artifact in a museum. "I see that you are a magnificent creature," he said, his eyes glistening with admiration. "I am Marcelo, and I know everything about your kind." Though his expression remained stoic, I could sense the excitement simmering inside him. I wondered what could be causing such excitement. He leaned in closer and began sniffing me, an act that normally would have made me uncomfortable. Surprisingly, however, I felt a sense of connection between us, our pulses beating in unison. As my stomach growled with hunger, a voice in my consciousness whispered, "Bite him." I quickly pushed away the thought, trying to stay in control. "Get out!" I yelled, pushing him forcefully against the wall. Marcelo just grinned, then l
