CHAPTER 31Jasmine woke up in a dark room, her head throbbed terribly and her eyes tried to adjust to the darkness. The room was cold and the chills she felt went up her spine. Her hands were tied behind her back and she felt her body aching everywhere. She could hear voices not too far off from where she was. She strained her ears to try to listen to what was being said but it wasn't so successful. She could make out a deep husky male voice speaking quite authoritatively to a quirky female voice. Something about the female voice was oddly familiar but she couldn't quite place where she heard it from. She could barely hear what the conversation was about but something told her that she might be at the centre of it.
