Chapter 37

Jasmine was apprehensive to say the least. Why did Jason have to barge into the room when he did.

Didn't he know that it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding?

And where on earth could he have gone with Hope at such a critical time?!

She could not make out the situation, her journalistic sense knew something was wrong but it was hard to pinpoint with these werewolves.

They could smile with you while plotting your death at that very moment.

Before Jason came, Hope was all smiles and lovely, but as soon as she saw him everything changed. There was definitely something in the air that signaled that all was not well.

It was not in the way they spoke to each other but more in the looks they gave, the tension that continued to rise the more they spent time together.

She knew Hope was not over Jason yet, how could she be so soon! But sometimes she could not help but ponder if Jason really had no feelings for Hope.

They were very close once upon a time, could he

Chapter 38The werewolf wedding was not as she had planned. It's not like she has been to so many wedding ceremonies, in fact Jasmine had never been to any wedding ceremony to celebrate with anyone. She had lived a very peculiar life, one that separated her from everyone she came across, plus no one wanted to associate with the poor strange orphan. She wasn't so poor anymore but years of watching humans lose their humanity had made her weary of everyone, until Jason. She trusted Jason in a way she had never trusted anyone. He treated her like a person with feelings and emotions, he respected her, he loved her first and waited for her to come to him. Now she would officially be his. "Let's go," she told Hope as she picked up her bouquet. Her gown was quite long and considerably heavy at the edge, so it was Hope's duty to hold it for her while she walked. As soon as she stepped out of the room there were petals of roses, red and white, scattered on the ground. She was supposed to

Chapter 39Adolph was standing in front of the couple on the platform, watching their lovely expression with something close to indifference and a little bit like annoyance. He was in charge of officiating the ceremony and out of duty he needed to be here, certainly not because he wanted to. He usually worked as the mage of the pack but sometimes his temperament gets the better of him that you wonder how he keeps his role at all. As expected he was one of the werewolves against Jasmine's marriage with Jason. Everyone knew he lost so much during the first battle with Sebastian and the werewolf hunters, but so did other pack members. However, Adolph had never been the same since the battle, and since he found out from Mama Helen that Jasmine was that Fated human mate of Jason, his hatred had increased a thousand fold. Only few members of the pack knew about Jasmine's family history, most of them had the belief that the werewolf hunter lineage had been wiped off completely. It was be

Chapter 40Claire had been in the cottage now for a few hours but it felt like eternity to Jasmine. Whatever she had become was too hard for Jasmine to take in. Yes she just got married to a werewolf, but what Claire was right now was something she was not familiar with in the slightest. She knew Claire was a witch, but now she was something so strange that it scared Jasmine to the bone. Perhaps it was the way she sounded, perhaps it was the way the pack reacted, but something was not right. Last she heard, Claire had escaped from the sector of people that were watching her, everyone thought that she wouldn't dare do anything as she had no master and would be calling for a death sentence if she did anything wrong. Tonight was supposed to be the start of her honeymoon, everything had been planned out, it was meant to be a perfect night. She had daydreamed about finally being able to call Jason hers, and everything that came with that. Now her husband was not even with her! Somehow

  • FATED MATE OF THE ALPHA   Elizabeth Clementine

Elizabeth Clementine looked at Jason with disdain as he stepped into the werewolf gathering. She thought it was extremely disrespectful how she was particularly denied access to his mating ceremony but as soon as crisis came knocking, he remembered that she existed. She was a young witch, with shirt blonde hair and clear Hazel eyes. She was petite in stature, around 4 '10 and pretty much everyone here towered above her, especially the Halem Moonlight Alpha that looked down at her like she was nothing. She hated him and everything he stood for. She never understood why he was against witches so much. Of course she had heard of the story about how his pack were attacked⁶, but apparently he had forgotten that werewolves and humans were part of that battle too. He was the biggest hypocrite if he could still fraternize with werewolves and marry a human but witches were an abomination to him. "Hello Elizabeth, thank you for coming on such short notice," he said to her with a voice voi

Chapter 42 For some strange reason Jasmine found herself drawn to Claire. The moment Jason left her it was all she could think about. Normally she would ignore such emotion, but she was also honestly curious right now. She needed answers and nobody was going to give her if she just stayed put. Maybe it was the journalist in her, maybe it was because of her habit to always be aware of her surroundings. Whatever it was, she was going to get to the root of it and that can only happen if she took action. So here she was, going to take action. The place was eerily quiet as she walked towards the cottage behind the house. Somehow she was able to slip past the gathering of werewolves as they discussed issues they didn't think she should know about. The back door was not locked and it was easy to leave without being noticed."Hello," she called out as she tried to locate the light switch. There was no reply. Well she wasn't expecting any from the crazy person but she needed to at least

  • FATED MATE OF THE ALPHA   Who are you?

Chapter 43 Jason blamed himself for everything that happened as usual. He created a thousand scenes in his head where he could have been the hero, but he forgot to remember that even though he was supernatural, he also had his limits. He could not read minds neither could he control time nor could he be faster than the speed of light. All these would have come in handy to prevent a lot of things that happened, although even if he did have those powers, his enemies would surely search for ways to counter attack. So no, he was not at fault here, but he wasn't planning on being rational when he started his blame game, for if his blame shifted from himself to another, it would lead to a bloodbath for whomever he thought was responsible, so it was safer this way. He stared at his stunning bride as she laid there in the bed, still unconscious, currently unaware of the turmoil in the pack right now. He never should have brought her to his life, he never should have dragged her to this c

Chapter 44Jasmine woke up to find a strange man staring at her, a handsome man with sharp features, but a very strange man all the same. He was invading her space and saying some weird gibberish to the lady beside him. The elder lady looked very familiar but Jasmine was struggling so hard to remember her name, or how exactly she knew her. Her head was foggy and the pounding she felt increased in intensity as the weird man continued to probe her with question after question. He just refused to give her any rest! She could remember a few things, her childhood was very vivid in her memory, like it was all she could think about as she stared at the strange people looking at her weirdly. She needed space but it was obvious they didn't know what that was. She couldn't tell how she came to be in this huge room, but the only thing keeping her from running out this minute was the familiar face of the woman. Gosh! Why could she not remember her name! She knew who she was, she knew her

Chapter 45"Do you know this lady?" Mama Helen asked Jasmine, referring to Hope."Yes, I'm not sure how but I just know that I know her. The moment I saw her something told me that I definitely know her," she replied. "And how do you know her? Who is she to you?" The older woman asked her. It took a while for Jasmine to answer that question. It was obvious she was seriously thinking about the answer to that question and from the look on her face it was a difficult question to her. How could she tell them she had no idea who this Hope really was or how exactly she knew her. It was like a switch in her head just clicked the moment she saw the girl. It was even more vivid than with the older woman's case. She felt like she must have been very close with this Hope girl, that must be why she remembered her so much. "I don't know, I don't have an answer to your question ma'am, I just that that I know her and I must have been close to her," she finally replied. The room was eerily qui

Chapter 62Jasmine woke up with what felt like an epiphany, like she was feeling things for the very first time but those emotions had always been there. She felt a longing, a need to be held by a familiar hand, she had a craving to be in the warm embrace of someone… and that someone was Jason. From the moment she woke up he was all she wanted to see, but it was strange because she had a recollection of the emotions but she still had no memory of Jason, she still had no recollection of him or their time together, but these strange feeling of familiarity surged through her in ways she could not explain. Just then Jason came into her hospital room, putting a face to the emotions going through her. She knew she loved him, but how could she love someone she still could not remember. "You're awake!" He exclaimed as soon as he saw her. He rushed to her side and cautiously held her hand, he wasn't sure how she would react to a gesture like that so he was being careful. She didn't push

"I'm sorry Jason, I didn't know that it would turn out like this," she pleaded. "How exactly did you think this would turn out, please tell me what was your plan exactly?" He asked her, unmoved by the tears that were starting to form in her eyes. "Well I knew there was bad blood between Dominic and I, but I didn't know that he would react that way. I thought he would be willing to help because of the history we had," she explained. "And what sort of history do you have with someone like that?" He asked her sternly. She hesitated before she answered his question and all Jaosn was able to think was that she was trying to think of a good lie to tell him. He could never believe a word that came from her mouth, not even if she promised that she was telling the truth, not even if she swore on her life. Certainly she didn't think that he would believe a

Chapter 60 Jason had never seen Dominic even though he had heard so much about him, but the man standing in front of him right now looked every bit like the image he portrayed. Dominic was tall and slim built with very broad shoulders and a slim waist. He had scanty brown hair and light brown eyes. He wasn't built like your stereotypical werewolf but one look at his sharp eyes and you'd know that he was the embodiment of evil. He had very thin lips that stretched into an evil smirk every now and then, like it was his default expression. Jason has been with him for less than 5 minutes and he could already tell that it was a big mistake coming here in the first place if this was the guy that they were supposed to meet. This man was not someone that was ready to help, especially with whatever was going on between him and Hope. "Can you believe it! The prodigal daughter finally returns!" He exclaimed as soon as he saw Hope. For a moment there Jason wondered how exactly Hope became

Chapter 59"Don't raise your voice, people might suspect otherwise," Hope cautioned him. And true to her words two tall pale looking men that looked like they were in their late thirties glanced towards their direction. They each had a partner with them and from one glance you already could tell what was going on. They were vampires, the kind with old blood from the color of their eyes and their sunken dark eye sockets. Also their reflexes were extremely sharp but they were extraordinarily calm, perfectly capable of controlling their emotions, unlike the modern day vampires that reacted to everything around them. Most vampires were intensely sensitive, erratic in motion and annoyingly unstable, especially in the presence of werewolves, whom for some weird reason they considered rivals. These two however were unusually calm even though the supernaturals have already identified what each was. It was obvious that they had been around for a very long time from the way they controlled

Chapter 58 Jason was starting to get suspicious… well he had always been suspicious but this time around his gut feeling thought that there was something very wrong, and it was a lot more than usual. One would think that maybe Hope had forgotten the whereabouts of this friend that would lead them to this witch that could solve all their problems. "Hope, how long till we get there already, I've been driving for hours but it seems this friend of yours lives on the other side of earth!" He said sternly, just like he had said a few times before. "We're almost there, just keep following the directions I gave you," she would always say. She was being way too mysterious with everything. She had refused to give out the exact location of this source of hers, for this source's security, she had said. Well that's nice, but what about their own security? He didn't exactly feel 100% safe going blind into a place that he had no information on, to see someone he had no idea about. Who exactl

  • FATED MATE OF THE ALPHA   Let the journey continue

Chapter 57 After what looked like an eternity of awkward silence in the hotel room, they all finally checked out of the hotel and were back on the road. Chad was extremely polite this morning, somehow he seemed to have finally found his manners and still avoided eye contact with the trio. He was more than happy to speed up the process of checking them out of his hotel as he could not wait to finally be rid of the three extremely strange, terrifying people. "Have a nice day," Chad told them as they made to leave. "We sure will, you too Chad," Hope answered. She seemed to be in a good mood, unlike the other two, who were already halfway to the vehicle by the time he spoke. All Jasmine wanted to do was get as far away from here as soon as possible. She wanted to forget everything that happened in this place and she reasoned that the farther away from here that she was, the sooner she would let all the experiences go. However she was only kidding herself. She had no potion to make

  • FATED MATE OF THE ALPHA   Can you feel the connection?

Chapter 56 Jason was up by dawn, he had always had trouble sleeping and the nightmares were back, fiercer than before. They only stopped when he was with Jasmine, when she was still the woman that loved him as much as he loved her, she gave him the kind of peace he could not comprehend, but now that was gone and he was back to the nights of terror. This nightmare was a new one, it was confusing and he could only vaguely remember it, but one part that stuck with him was that he was searching for something, but he found another thing instead. He could not remember what he was searching for, nor what he found instead, but he knew there was a mismatch. He felt lost in the dream, just as lost as he felt in real life. He woke up sweating even though the air conditioner in the room was working to an extent, it wasn't perfect but at least it wasn't completely broken down. His first reaction was to look towards Jasmine and he saw her sleeping soundly like the beauty that she was. What a

Chapter 55If you had told Jasmine that she would be spending a night in the same room with the annoying Jason she definitely would not have believed you. Even if you had come with a crystal ball, a palm reader and a soothsayer, she would have laughed at your face and reminded you that she didn't believe in most of these fetish stuff. Knowing that werewolves, vampires and witches exist was even a stretch to her belief system, adding all these other kinds of people might just be the last straw before she goes gaga. Unfortunately though this was just a coincidence and not something planned by fate. She recalled the look of pure fear in Chad's eyes as he announced that there were only 2 rooms left. The poor guy was already at the verge of pissing in his pants and any moment from now he could even faint if pushed any further. She tugged on Jason's shirt, prompting him to accept the rooms as it were. Nobody noticed that she did this apart from Jason himself. Hope was too busy staring

Chapter 54 "You do know that we've been waiting here, trying to get someone to attend to us for what seems like forever and you just show up like you don't even care?!" Hope said with disgust clearly written over her face, and conveyed through the tone of her voice. She was usually able to hide her feelings, to put on a mask, to pretend to feel something else apart from her true feelings, to smile and say everything was alright even when it wasn't. She had been so used to this facade that it almost felt like she was living two lives, walking about in a life of two faces. She had to do this because nobody really understood her, they could say they did, but she knew they would be lying. How could they? Nobody ever gave her a chance to tell her own story, no one ever thought for a second if she was alright or not. They brushed off her feelings because she wasn't a fragile human like Jasmine and her werewolf bloodline wasn't royal like Jason and Nathan. Life was never kind to her bu
