Chapter 50

***Trigger Warning*** (Siobhan’s P.O.V) “Tell us what they are planning!” The demon person shouts as the whip comes down across my back. It’s been like this for the last 2 days, trying to torture answers out of me about what Tiernan and the pack are planning. How the Celestials had helped us and what the Celestials have planned. My back is going to be covered in scars, I know this already because they had the tips dipped in silver, so they won’t heal as normal wounds would. It’s a good thing that Tiernan and I sealed our bond because I know for a damn fact that he would leave me over these scars. No one wants a mate with these ugly marks on them. What I wasn’t prepared for was seeing that bastard, Wyatt, down here. Well, I’m not shocked that he was part of the Lost collection that Scàthach had collected, I was shocked about the fact that he had died. I’m hopeful that he was murdered, slowly and painfully. “I’m not…going…to…tell you.” I pant out. The whip c

Chapter 51

(Tiernan’s P.O.V) She’s gone! Tala had mind linked Steele telling us she and Siobhan had felt like they were being followed and when we made it to the fort that Patrick and I had built as kids, they were gone. Their scent was all but gone as well, just like the children. That’s when I received a letter, the letter that turned my world upside down and inside out. I lost complete control and burned about half our forest down in my anger. Patrick had to tell the pack that it was dark magic used by those who had kidnapped Siobhan that caused the fire. No one here in the pack can know who I truly am. Scàthach was making me choose between the children and my mate, I know that Siobhan would force me to choose the children, but I was so torn. Artemis came to me, and I told him I needed to meet with grandfather, within 20 minutes of seeing Artemis, I was standing in front of Gramps. “She has Siobhan and she’s bargaining her life for the children. She’ll kill Siobhan

Chapter 52

(Siobhan’s P.O.V) After they were done covering me with their nasty ass spunk, minions 1 and 2 brought me back to my cell where the children were. Luckily, I didn’t have to pass by their cells to get to mine, so they wouldn’t be traumatized seeing me like this. Minions 1 and 2 throw me to the floor of my cell, laughing that I looked good for a dead woman. I curled into a ball on the floor, smelling strongly of my own vomit, and let the tears flow harder than they had before. I didn’t give Wyatt the satisfaction of my screams or fear…but at what cost? This could cost me my mate; I know for a fact Tiernan felt what was going on. “Hey, Siobhan. It’s Hope, are you okay? Did the bad men hurt you?” She asks quietly. “No, Hope. I’m fine.” I whisper, just loud enough for her to hear. “But you’re crying. I can smell it.” Damn their enhanced abilities. Even though they don’t have their wolves yet, children are able to hear, see, and smell better than human children.

Chapter 53

(Tiernan’s P.O.V) Day of attack on Annwn Siobhan had recovered well from her injuries over the last few days, and she was able to let us know that the children were in a cell that was sealed by magic. Alpha Brock’s warriors had been training hard alongside my wolves and the spell casters and we felt ready. I asked everyone to congregate near the new portal house, to make sure that everyone was prepared and knew what we were doing. Looking out over the crowd, I couldn’t help the pride that coursed through me seeing all of these people willing to help children who were not their own. It’s easy for people to turn a blind eye to something when it doesn’t directly affect them. However, that’s not the case this time around. Everyone here felt like this was a personal attack on them and they were going to fight to the death to save these children. “Good morning, everyone. Thank you for assembling here and for being willing to go into this war with so many unknowns. You have all

Chapter 54

(Siobhan’s P.O.V) After killing Wyatt, which honestly was anticlimactic and a tad disappointing, the warriors of Scàthach come spilling out of the palace. I knew it was going to be a blood bath, but I didn’t think we would be so outnumbered. It may sound terrible, but I honestly didn’t care what happened to anyone here today, as long as we got those children out of here and back to their parents. “Well, if it isn’t little wolf. We had so much fun with you on your last visit, maybe Mistress will allow us to keep you around here to have some fun with you.” Minion 1 from my kidnapping states. “Yes, that really was a wonderful time, wasn’t it?” Minion 2 from my kidnapping asks. “Nah, your spunk smelled nasty and I’m pretty sure that you should get checked for STDs or some shit because that smell was NOT normal,” I say, waving my hand in front of my nose to emphasize my point. A look of outrage crosses their faces, and I knew I pissed them off with that comment

Chapter 55--Split Chapter

(Tiernan’s P.O.V) Taking Steele’s suggestion, I got pissed off; thinking about the children trapped here, Siobhan’s kidnapping and subsequent torture and assault, Scàthach’s need for power. The Celestial magic begins coursing through me, filling my veins with its heat. My muscles began to expand, ripping my shirt from my body, ripping the seams of my pants, my shoes breaking apart as my feet grew. I started to shoot upward and knew that the magic was giving me a new body. HULK SMASH. All you need to do is dip yourself in green body paint and you’ll be good. The enemy warriors stop their fighting, as do the warriors on our side, looking at what was happening before their eyes. Flames began to form around my body, licking my skin without harming me. Once again, taking Steele’s suggestion, I go Hulk-smash on these fuckers. Using my new size to bulldoze over the enemy, using my fire magic to burn these fuckers to a crisp. It’s like everyone gained their senses b

Chapter 56--Split Chapter

(Siobhan’s P.O.V) Just remember, we have 24 hours after removing her heart to burn it and then bury the ashes. Just to be safe. How do you want to do this? Wing it. Tala gives me a wolfy smirk as I start to make my way over to Scàthach and the children; there are only minutes to spare. I felt a hand grab my arm, and I turn to see James looking at me, his eyes soft. “You remind me of my sister, so full of life and vibrant. I miss her. Please tell her that I love her.” He whispers to me. I look at him confused, but before I can say anything, he moves away from me and charges at Scàthach, not making a sound. A dagger in his hand, he plunges it into her back; she screams in agony but releases Hope. “HOPE! Over here!” I shout to her. She comes running over to me as the spell casters start chanting together. Scàthach whirls around and grabs James by the throat. “What did that little bitch say to get in your head?” “She reminded me of who I was a

Chapter 57

(Siobhan’s P.O.V) Tiernan was taking up the fight with Scàthach. The spell casters had gotten the children outside and, hopefully, through the portal to the Human Realm. James had collapsed to the floor after Tiernan’s water lasso-thing extinguished the fire whip that Scàthach had created. “James, are you okay?” “I’m…fine…I just…need a minute.” He pants out. The air inside the palace was crackling with electricity; the power coming off both Tiernan and Scàthach was so oppressive I was shocked I was still standing. They both moved with a grace that I thought would be impossible, like dancers doing a sort of tango with one another. Tiernan takes a blow to the chest. It was a black orb of some kind that Scàthach had shot out of her hand. “Oh, no.” James tells me, as his face pales. “What? What happened?” “That’s the soul orb. She’s trying to collect his soul.” As he finishes his sentence, unimaginable pain courses through my body, and a feral scre

Chapter 58

(Tiernan’s P.O.V) Pain. That’s all I could think about was the pain that was radiating throughout my body, blinding me, making me want to vomit. I couldn’t hear anything going on around me, the ringing in my ears was all I could hear until I heard her scream. Siobhan. Her scream was feral, a mate losing her mate bond, losing her other half. No. I can’t die. I won’t die. I’m thrown into a blackness that was so dense that I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face if I even tried. My body felt like it was floating and falling all at the same time, and I couldn’t place where I was going if I was even going anywhere. The sensation of falling stops and the darkness begins to lighten, a scene of a field with wildflowers and honeysuckle is spread out before me. Siobhan. That’s all I could think about when I inhaled the scent of the field around me, my heart clenches in pain thinking about her being on her own now…without me. I roar out both in pain an

Chapter 59

(Siobhan’s P.O.V) It had been three days since Arawn, Tiernan and I had come home through the portal, burned Scàthach’s heart and buried it, and Tiernan was still in a coma. The steady beeping of the heart monitor was grating on my nerves, he needed to wake the fuck up. “You can’t leave me.” I whisper, my hand squeezing his. I hadn’t moved from my chair that was next to his bed for more than a few minutes to use the bathroom or to stretch. I couldn’t leave him alone, because I knew that the moment I left him alone for longer than a few minutes he would wake up. I wanted to be there the moment he opened his eyes. Arawn was going to make sure James would be a warrior for the Pure and Innocent souls, having proven himself by killing Scàthach. I really hoped that the Celestials changed their rulings on this shit because James should have never been a Lost soul for protecting his sister. There’s a quiet knock on Tiernan’s door and the doctor pokes his head in befo
