Chapter Ninety

Cole’s eyelids flickered open and he stared up his barn-like high-ceiling for about a minute before a smile stretched out his lips. He lowered his gaze at the black mane of curls tucked under his chin and he craned his neck to press a kiss atop it. Isabelle stirred against his body and he shut his eyes briefly, revelling in the sheer pleasure of her warm skin against his. He imagined the life they would share; how he would wake up every day—or some days at least for the rest of his life, with her snuggled against him like this. He found it was something he was looking forward to. But then before they can have that, he needed to create a safe environment for her and not just her. And of course, execute all the mother fuckers, posing a threat to her. The soft glow in his eyes disappeared and was replaced by a steely gaze. Pressing another kiss to her hair, he carefully withdrew from her. And as soon he broke the contact he felt cold and he hated the feeling. With Jaw clenched he th

Chapter Ninety-one

“I was granted immunity because Alexander claimed me as his family. And as long as I remained under that banner, myself and my descendants are protected no matter where they are and everywhere they go. And there would always be people watching out for them...” “How convenient. I suppose these individuals protecting them could also be used as their executioners— right?” Cole said rhetorically and chuckled — the humourless kind. “I take it these people are still in operation?” “Yes, your father made provisions for them and even you can not revoke it.” “I imagined he would,” Cole said and something Jerome told him the time they came for him replayed in his head, and he added, sitting up, “Do I have those types of men watching me?” “I dont know—” “How then did Alexander get information about me and my missions?” “I told you, Cole, there are some answers I don’t have.” “Wait... Is Rufus part of the founding fathers of these people you speak of?” “I doubt it, your father uses them

Chapter Ninety-two

When Cole got inside the room, Isabelle was lying facedown on the bed with the cover sheet barely covering her ass. Cole smiled and climbed the bed, lowering his face to the curve of her back he pressed a kiss to her skin and slowly brushed his lips against her skin. trailing them up to her back. Isabelle moaned softly and Cole pressed a kiss to the side of her lips. “Good morning, baby,” Isabelle said. Her voice was soft and whispery. “Good morning, beautiful,” Cole replied, raking his fingers through the hair at the back of her head to cup her head. A relieved so profound filled him up inside, knowing now and having the proof that she was fine. “I have plans with the rest of the guys to go for a bit of grooming in town and I want you to come along, so you can enjoy the whole experience. And that’s my way of saying I want you with me…” Cole said against her ear, nibbling on the shell of it. Isabelle moaned. “How do you intend to pull that off. It must be dangerous or something

Chapter Ninety-three

A few minutes later, Cole packed in the parking lot of a fancy restaurant, turned to Isabelle and said, “What would you want for breakfast, love?” Isabelle gaped at him. That was one question she had never recalled being asked, ever! She always ate what she saw and never even tasted anything quite memorable until she meant him. Cole unaware of what he had caused, turned to the back and held Amelie’s gaze. “And you, ma’am?”“Please. Cole, call me Amelie!”“Sorry, habit—” he said and grinned. Isabelle turned to hold her brother’s gaze who shrugged noncommittally. She began to chew on her lower lip, a nervous reaction that Cole recognised. He frowned and reached out to cup her jaw. “Babe, you can have anything you want just tell me.”“Even if I want grilled chicken or roast fillet with chips and dessert?”“Whatever you want, babe,” Cole said grinning at her. She smiled. Cole leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to her forehead Isabelle saw Xavier smile. “So, madam, do you want grille

Chapter Ninety-four

Cole’s trip to the bank from the restaurant took about eight minutes, the streets were not as crowded as they would have been if it weren't snowing again. And Cole found as a result of his newly gained abilities – thanks to Isabelle, he didn’t feel the cold as much nor was he out of breath from the running. Instead, he felt even more vigorous. Pushing the bank door open he walked instead and was approached by a security man about six feet tall and of heavy build. “Good morning, Mr Miller. It’s been a while,” the man greeted. Cole smirked at him. “Hey, Jordan how is it going?” Cole called out in a quiet tone, the entire place was always as quiet as a tomb, he always felt it a crime to speak in a normal tone in the enclose3d space. It was way worse than a library. “It’s going, still here,” he said with resignation.“Did you try again?” Cole asked automatically. Ever since he had come into the bank some years back in his uniform, Jordan had thought it fitting to let him know he was i

Chapter Ninety-five

“Good morning, officers—” Jason said, pushing back his seat to come and offer the men a handshake. They took it and Jason expertly introduced them as first-time visitors, making everyone call out a greeting or wave to the officers. He deftly flash his identification and everything seemed to be going well until one of the officers said, “Are you guys the owners of the trucks outside?” “They belong to our host, he had to step out for a bit—”“Is he a serviceman too?” another one asked.“Those are pretty heavy vehicles for an ordinary serviceman’s paycheck,” the third one interjected. “Well, we are on—” before Jason could finish his statement, the door was pushed open again and everyone turned in the direction. Cole strode in carrying a box that must weigh at least fifteen kilograms. Isabelle felt as if her body suddenly deflated. She somewhat felt lighter, knowing whatever happens from there on, Cole would handle it. Her confidence in him made her almost smile. As if he had a magic

Chapter Ninety-six

Isabelle waited for the policemen to walk away before she got out of her seat and walked to meet up with Cole.  He silently searched her face, mind-linking with her, he asked, ‘Are you okay, beautiful?’ Isabelle nodded. He opened his arms for her then, and she snuggled against his body. ‘I’m glad you are back,’ she replied but through their mind-link. Cole smiled, pressing a kiss to her curls. ‘If I’m going to be getting this kind of welcome each time I leave you for fifteen minutes  I should probably make a habit of it,’ he replied. Isabelle giggled, holding on tighter to him.

Chapter Ninety-seven

Much later when the ladies went back to have their hair net and the plastic cap removed, there were tell-tale signs it wasn’t only Isabelle and Cole that had thoroughly indulged in the exclusivity of the massaging room. Isabelle hid a smile. After they left the beauty parlour, they went shopping. Cole took Isabelle to the underwear section and made her try out sexy bras, pants and lingerie for him. They bought quite a lot and after payment Cole sent the sales girl off and asked Isabelle to wear a pair of the items bought. When she went inside the changing room he followed her and met her bent over trying to slip on black sexy underwear. He pulled down his cargo pants, brought out his cock and rubbed himself against her backside. Isabelle gasped and jerked forward in reflex. His hand shot out to hold her by the waist and he pressed a kiss to her back

Chapter Ninety-eight

“Baby, listen to me...okay? I am not implying that you are weak, I am protecting you from any accidents or mishaps. I don’t want you to be used as bait nor do I want you to be taken, hostage. I want you far away from Rufus and safe!” “What stops him from coming after me when you’ve gone, Cole? Then I would have to fight on my own—”“He can’t do that... and even if he does, he will not be able to get to  you—”“How do you intend to pull that off, huh? Do you intend to keep me locked up the entire trip?”“As a matter of fact---yes  You will be locked up in a panic room I have built on the estate with Amèlie and Opaline....”

Before noon, Cole, Isabelle, Xavier, Amèlie, Hallec, Tiana, Darrow, Wulfrun, Opaline, Jason, Ariston, and Berion, were ushered forward for clearing at Teterboro Airport, about 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan, New York. After the agent sent by Aerospace Inc., had hastened the process of creating their passenger manifest, he led them to immigration services and FBO, but he first approached the lady on duty first. He passed a card to her and spoke with her for a few minutes before gesturing to them to come forward. Cole held on to Isabelle and they went first. “First time visiting Russia?” the lady asked with a polite smile. Cole took a glance at Isabelle, he could feel her anxiety and he smiled down at her in encouragement. “First time for me,” she said looking at Cole and then directing her gaze to meet the other woman’s. She nodded, typing fast on her keyboard. “Not me...” Cole said with a chuckle. “Where exactly will you be going in Russia, ma'am?” “Mos---Moscow,” she replied
