         Meeting David Leo    She moved her right hand over the gold band, twisting it on her ring finger. In a month from now she will get hitched by her beau, which she never met before. Roslyn wasn’t delighted or looking forward to the wedding. She only agreed to marry the young man because it was the best of both worlds to her parents and the so-called beau. Roslyn was thrown for a loop when her parents informed her about the marriage agreement they had with David’s parents since they were little. Chapter 2

               Preparation        Roslyn felt like a wondered young woman when she woke up the next morning. She felt exhausted and her eyes are burning due to lack of sleep. It was a Sunday morning and Roslyn has no reason to be in bed. She swiftly pulled herself out of her warm bed and head for the bathroom. Roslyn remembered David was still on the same roof as her suddenly a sick chill run through her body; she didn’t know if she could bear another sight of him today.        Roslyn and her sister Bella trudge into the familiar church building. Every time Roslyn comes to church, she remembers how enchanting the building was. She scrutinized the building, which perfectly reflects the unity between the painful drenched world and the unseen kingdom of God. The church is a testimony of a chivalric period.                  The wedding bell         “Do I have to wear this?” Roslyn complaint, Bella insisted she wear the six inches heels she bought for her as a wedding gift. She was happy to receive her first wedding gift from her sister, but she isn’t one to wear heels. She pondered why her sister decides to get her heels. “Yes Roslyn, it compliments your dress. Just wear it and stop complaining, we’re getting late”. Said Bella; glancing at her wristwatch for the second time. Chapter 4

                     Marriage Dilemma          Roslyn couldn’t sleep; she kept pacing round the living room. Her eyes darted between the wall clock and the entrance door, it was 12:40am and David hadn’t arrived from work yet. Roslyn slowly walked to the window and peeped through the window, hoping to see David driving in through the gigantic gate, but she was more disappointed to see the spot where David normally parked his car empty. She sighed and went to seat on the sofa. The entrance door flee opened just as she was about to pick her phone and call him.                               Guest                                                                               Few weeks had passed, and the weather had become increasingly cold. David shiver as the early morning cold wind run through his body. It was piercing; he rubbed his two benumbed hands together, trying to create a little warmth for himself, and he sniffed repeatedly because of his running nose. Chapter 6

                        The accident     Roslyn could scarcely believe it when she slid out of the car; there she stood at the front of her parent’s home. All memories of her days at the mansion came flooding like early august rain, but David had stolen those happy years. “Oh, how I miss home,” she breathes.     The entrance door fleet open and Bella trudged out of the house with a broad smile on her face. She misses her sister so much sometimes she wishes she can park her belongings and go stay with her sister.    “Roslyn” Bella screamed Roslyn’s name, scaring the older sister.                          Surgery      Roslyn wore a frown on her face as she continue to stare down at her husband, “just this morning my husband was healthy but look at ‘im now,” Mrs. Williams stretched out her right out reaching out for the younger woman shoulder, she placed her hand on her shoulder in a soothing manner. “My deah do not be dismayed. I believe God has a purpose for this; we should be happy that he’s still alive”, Roslyn stared; not knowing what else to say because her mother was right, but she can’t help the tears in her eyes. “Perhaps I should go home and get him some new clothes and hot water.” Roslyn eyed David yet again, “yes and ya also need some rest; you look exhausted.” Said Roslyn’s mother; Roslyn swiftly stood to her feet. “Please take your time.                               Hurting                                                                       Roslyn couldn’t believe her eyes when she walked into the white room; she stood looking directly at David’s now opened legs. With a quickening of Roslyn’s pulse, she subconsciously moved further into the room. She swallowed the lump in her throat, holding back the tears in her eyes. For the first time, she was glad David hasn’t waked up yet. The pain in her heart was too much for her to bear, and she allowed the tears encompassed her eyes freely.                               Home    The past four months. It was nothing but pain and sorrow for both David and Roslyn; it was such a dreary year for Roslyn precisely. While David was swimming in pains Roslyn was swimming in sorrows.      Roslyn entered the mansion without rapping on the door. Her thighs ached, and her eyes burn and her head whirled because of exhaustion. The last time she visited home was two weeks and four days ago, she’d stopped coming home because she feared David will need her if she decide to come home and so the maids have been the ones bringing new clothes, and food to her at the hospital. She mutely went up to her room and galloped to the bathroom for a good shower.        She stared at herself in the mirror; Roslyn was aging more than her age, thirty-six, but she understands why. Chapter 10

                             The visit        Roslyn pressed her plump lips together, trying hard not to give in to her emotions. The agony, pain and suffering are too much for her to bear. The past three months have been nothing’ but pure sadness in the household, no one seemed to breathe. David continues to blame Roslyn for his unfortunate incident. He called her bad luck, but she never reacted to any of his cursed because she knows how depressed he was. She remembered how David kicked the plate of food she dished out to ‘im and then pure the cold water on her body the other day. She left home that day to her parent’s home but her mother was quick to send her back to her husband.
