Selyna’s POV       I really wanted to be with Damian last night but I knew we were being watched closely, our behavior being noticed by everyone and his father was no fool, no matter how I tried to play it off he suspected us. Now I am dressing up for the council meeting, but I can’t get it out of my head how Damian went down on his knees begging me to stay the night. There’s something about seeing a big bad alpha being like that. I know the score and he will make it up to me, but we need to be on our best behavior. Selyna’s POV      I wish I could have given him my virginity, but I had dated in highschool and had been with one guy. Heck my first kiss had been shortly before my thirteenth birthday. It was Ashe and it had been sweet, full of love but lacking passion. I love Ashe, but even at 13 we realized that our love was that of best friends, more like siblings than anything. Even when I was dating boys from school my mind would drift to the grumpy boy, who is now the beautiful man kissing me tenderly and asking me if I am ok. I haven’t spoken since Storm excused herself. She promised to keep our secret and to return daily to help us train and control our powers. Apparently, I awoke some sleeping witch powers in Damian. I still don’t understand how the moon goddess, mother of werewolves would or could imbue Hecate’s powers, or maybe it is different because he is a wolf. 

Selyna’s POV       I was worried when Damian’s smile had fallen, and realizing that my birthday was the anniversary of his mother’s death had been a shock. Now it had been close to an hour and someone had started some music playing while we all mingle with one another. “You are the reason he laughs and smiles, whether you realize it or not” Alpha Sean comes up behind me placing a hand on my shoulder and following my gaze to his son.     I smile sweetly,”I am not sure that all the credit goes to me, but I will admit that his moods are lighter these days.”       Alpha Sean laughs ,” You remind me of Marlene! The way you speak and how you carry…” He gets cut off by a commotion as Starr runs into the room at high speed, crashing into his legs.

Selyna’s POV      It was obvious that those witches were guilty of attacking Damian to get to me, but no one would accept that our friendship and the jealousy of a young she-wolf were why he was targeted. When they sensed the bits of magic that I couldn’t safely siphon off of him without hurting him they asked him if his mother was a witch. He confessed that she had been a hybrid and that he, like her, had a special wolf, when he mentioned his shadow abilities no one bat a lash, but when the electric ability was mentioned they started grilling him then determined that his memories of the trial needed erasing. They wanted to study him more to find out why he seemed to have more power than even a powerful hybrid.    Things happened so quickly, those of us voicing our disagreement were silenced and a flash whisked Damian from the hall.
