Chapter:-21

Kelly opened her door before Magnus even had a chance to knock. "Back so soon?" she said, one hand cocked on her hip. "I told you we'd be fine." "I know," he quickly appeased. "But I need May help with something. If she's up for it." Kelly arched a brow, but stepped back so he could enter. "What can she help you with that I can't?" "Allen is missing. Ordon claims to have taken him, but won't say where," Sebestian explained. "May was with him when he invaded the pack house; maybe she saw what happened." Kelly expression softened, and she beckoned Sebestian to follow her through the living room to a little window alcove that overlooked a park. May was sitting on some pillows, gazing listlessly at her lap. "I haven't been able to get her to eat anything yet," Kelly said. "She's pretty upset." Completely understandable.&

Chapter:-22

Rose clutched her hands in front of her mouth as she watched the medics transfer Allen to a patient bed in the infirmary and immediately start assessing him. He'd lost consciousness during the trip through the portal back to the pack house, and Rose couldn't get the image of a corpse out of her head as she stared at the Stygian veins marring her brother's too pale skin. She felt sick, her words to Alvin earlier echoing back in her ears. She'd compared him to Ordon because of the drugs they knew he used on Alpha and other house pack. But never would she have imagined her brother would have been subjected to them. The medics started attaching lines and cords to Allen, and the monitors above his head came to life with different colored squiggles and beeping, all erratic. Rose watched someone activate his wolf, but the vitals didn't change. The medics shared a look that sent chills down Isabelle's spine. "We've

Chapter:-23

Sam pulled Allen shirt up and drew an pack mark over his heart. The mark, which was supposed to have been stronger for a pack bond having drawn it, flared briefly, but ended up doing nothing to alleviate the high fever or spasms of pain wracking Allen body. Sebestian Alpha command wasn't working anymore, either, and they were both frustrated by their helplessness. Allen tossed his head from side to side, mussing his damp hair on the pillow. He kept muttering the Alpha sacred oath in his delirium. Sam put a hand on top of Allen head, trying to still him, and leaned down to speak in his ear. "You're safe, Allen. You're home. You didn't break." But his words, just like his mark, couldn't seem to penetrate the fiery dreams Allen was trapped in. "Why aren't the drugs wearing off?" he asked Sebestian. If anything, the malignant black veins in Allen skin were just as dark, as though they were

Chapter:-24

It took Allen what felt like ages to wade through the mire of burning brimstone he'd been trapped in for so long. But eventually he somehow escaped into a numbing void, cold and quiet. The emptiness stretched around him, and he lingered there for a bit, just relieved to have a respite from the torture. Ordon whispers couldn't reach him here. He was tired, and though he wasn't really moving, the abyss itself seemed to be sliding beneath him, like a glass river carrying him farther and farther away from the echoes of fire and malevolent voices. He should probably just let it. A spark flickered in the dark, then steadily grew. Allen watched it with mild detachment, until it flared brighter and started to come closer, and he was afraid the hellfire was coming for him again. "Allen," it spoke into the void, and his mark bond began to glow warm. He squinted against the harsh glare. "Sam?"

Chapter:-25

Sam didn’t like feeling helpless. It wasn’t something he was used to in his life. Even in his lowest moments, the things that scared Sam the most weren’t the threats on his life or the possibility of defeat, but the helplessness. Being a puppet, not knowing how to help Monika, watching the Knife murder human's; it was all terrifying because he couldn’t stop it.  As he watched Allen be thrown backwards and down a set of stairs in the warehouse they were in, he felt the helplessness setting in his stomach. He couldn’t reach him in time to stop it.  He felt almost like a child again as he sat there watching his brother being thrown back like a ragdoll just before the demon exploded, one of Allen arrows having met its mark. He saw his feet going down last and heard the sounds of his body tumbling down. Allen wouldn’t have the time to use his hands to protect himself, they would still be grasping his

Chapter:-26

Rose was about to start questioning and from the way Simon and Monika looked, she knew they were too. Sam sat there still, looking at his brother, a lost look in his face. She realised he probably already knew all of this, having listened to all of it as he was in the room. Before anyone could do anything, Jia moved. She knelt in front of Sebestian and squeezed his shoulder. For the first time he tore his eyes away from Allen and looked at her. “Sebestian,” she said, “do you think this is the best option we have? Can you get him back?” Rose was surprised at the softness in her mother’s voice. There was a firmness to it too, so that Sebestian would pay attention to what she was asking, but there was no edge. There was only a tone of sympathy, of shared feelings and care. It would always be shocking how much Jia Jones had changed. She was no longer the mother Rose grew up with, the hard edged

. “Do you have anything else to do?” Jones voice came from the tablet. “No, Sir,” Allen answered. His posture was rigid, his expression tight. He isn’t present as Omega yet, Sebestian thought. “I cannot believe the level of chaos you have allowed to descend on that pack house, Allen. An unsanctioned raid on here? Kidnapped human? All the unsanctioned missions you have allowed your siblings to go on? Not to mention anything!” Sebestian heard Rose gasp beside him and turned to look at the other three. Rose looked as if she wanted to disappear and Sebestian couldn’t say he was sad about that. At least they knew when this memory was from. “We went to the pack house to get the human  back,” Allen countered, his voice level when addressing his father. Sebestian would never forget how much Allen looked

"No,” Sam murmured, almost to himself. “No, this wasn’t your fault.” They all turned to look at him. Sam avoided their eyes looking down the corridor. They were alone again. Alone in the grey world of Allen mind. “Sam, I love our dear Rose but that doesn’t mean she didn’t make some wrong choices in the beginning,” Sebestian said. He was frowning, watching him, but he didn’t understand what Sam meant. “No, that’s not what I meant,” Sam  said, still avoiding their eyes. “I think we all did things we didn’t realise were hurting him. But I’m the one who yelled at him always. I’m the one Jones threatened to give the pack hoise to. I’m his brother , I’m supposed to support him, not be used against him.” “Sam, he loves you,” Rose moved to take his hand but he pulled back. Of cou

Rose watched as her brother moved closer to them, each step looked as if it took all his energy. He looked exhausted. She would have guessed he was around fifteen, only a bit younger than the Allen they’d just seen. He had to be coming back from patrol, what with his dirty boots trudging along the corridor. “Allen!” a voice called behind them. Rose turned to see Harry walking down the corridor towards them looking down at a tablet in his hands. In a moment, Allen entire demeanor changed. His back straightened and he appeared to have been jolted awake. His eyes were big and startled watching Harry approach.  Rose moved out of the way, not wanting to feel what it was like for one of these memory people to pass through her, and Harry  stopped in the middle of their little group. “Have you seen Jace and Rose?” he asked. “They’re supposed to be leaving for trai

“Sebestian,” she said slowly, as to not spook him away. “Don’t react quickly but I think I found Allen.” She saw his shoulders tense up and slowly Sebestian turned to look at her, Sam frowning and curious behind him. She nodded minutely to where the boy was and they both followed her gaze. She heard Monika little gasp from behind her. Rose chanced a glance at him. He was still staring at them curiously from behind the door frame. She didn’t know if he hadn’t noticed them looking or just wasn’t too spooked by it. He seemed to be watching her mostly, not really caring when Sebestian took a couple steps in his direction and crouched down. “Hello, sweetie,” Sebestian said, his voice calm. The little boy kept his gaze on Rose. She couldn’t begin to think how weird this must be for Sebestian. But then again, he was really old, maybe i
