“Do you have anything else to do?” Jones voice came from the tablet.
“No, Sir,” Allen answered. His posture was rigid, his expression tight.
He isn’t present as Omega yet, Sebestian thought.
“I cannot believe the level of chaos you have allowed to descend on that pack house, Allen. An unsanctioned raid on here? Kidnapped human? All the unsanctioned missions you have allowed your siblings to go on? Not to mention anything!”
Sebestian heard Rose gasp beside him and turned to look at the other three. Rose looked as if she wanted to disappear and Sebestian couldn’t say he was sad about that. At least they knew when this memory was from.
“We went to the pack house to get the human back,” Allen countered, his voice level when addressing his father. Sebestian would never forget how much Allen looked
"No,” Sam murmured, almost to himself. “No, this wasn’t your fault.”They all turned to look at him. Sam avoided their eyes looking down the corridor. They were alone again. Alone in the grey world of Allen mind.“Sam, I love our dear Rose but that doesn’t mean she didn’t make some wrong choices in the beginning,” Sebestian said. He was frowning, watching him, but he didn’t understand what Sam meant.“No, that’s not what I meant,” Sam said, still avoiding their eyes. “I think we all did things we didn’t realise were hurting him. But I’m the one who yelled at him always. I’m the one Jones threatened to give the pack hoise to. I’m his brother , I’m supposed to support him, not be used against him.”“Sam, he loves you,” Rose moved to take his hand but he pulled back. Of cou
Rose watched as her brother moved closer to them, each step looked as if it took all his energy. He looked exhausted. She would have guessed he was around fifteen, only a bit younger than the Allen they’d just seen. He had to be coming back from patrol, what with his dirty boots trudging along the corridor.“Allen!” a voice called behind them. Rose turned to see Harry walking down the corridor towards them looking down at a tablet in his hands. In a moment, Allen entire demeanor changed. His back straightened and he appeared to have been jolted awake. His eyes were big and startled watching Harry approach.Rose moved out of the way, not wanting to feel what it was like for one of these memory people to pass through her, and Harry stopped in the middle of their little group.“Have you seen Jace and Rose?” he asked. “They’re supposed to be leaving for trai
“Sebestian,” she said slowly, as to not spook him away. “Don’t react quickly but I think I found Allen.”She saw his shoulders tense up and slowly Sebestian turned to look at her, Sam frowning and curious behind him. She nodded minutely to where the boy was and they both followed her gaze. She heard Monika little gasp from behind her.Rose chanced a glance at him. He was still staring at them curiously from behind the door frame. She didn’t know if he hadn’t noticed them looking or just wasn’t too spooked by it. He seemed to be watching her mostly, not really caring when Sebestian took a couple steps in his direction and crouched down.“Hello, sweetie,” Sebestian said, his voice calm. The little boy kept his gaze on Rose. She couldn’t begin to think how weird this must be for Sebestian. But then again, he was really old, maybe i
“Of course you can, my beautiful precious perfect little boy. Just check if there is someone to watch you okay? Allen?” Jia called to him when the little boy squealed and started running off.“I will!” he called after him as he went.Allen ran right by Rose and Sebestian and was through the door in a moment, back in the corridor.“Wait, where is he going? Allen?” Rose called after him.She immediately moved away from Sebestian, rushing to keep up with the child. He was already at the end of the corridor and her heart jumped in her chest. He guided her there, this was her big brother, or at least this was her way to find him and he was running off. She didn’t understand why but she felt a pull towards him as she watched his little legs carry him around the corner and disappear. Without a second thought, she ran after him.“Rose
Monika saw Sam disappeared after Rose and the toddler version of Allen and her heart dropped. Sebestian was calling desperately for them to stop, moving just further ahead of her. All she prayed to the god for was that they didn’t get too far ahead of them. Then she blinked. She blinked and in a second, Sebestian bwasn’t in front of her anymore.“Sebestian?!” she called, her voice higher than usual, as she kept running forward. She turned the corner and stared at the empty corridor ahead. Her head swivelled back and forth, she turned around in circles looking for any of them. She was alone.“No, no, no, no,” she muttered to herself, her heart racing in her chest. She was alone in a random pack house corridor inside Allen mind and it was really all her fault. She should have listened when they told her not to come with them, she should ha
--Sebestian saw Sam disappearing to the left and rushed after. He was aware of Monika just behind him as he went, all the while calling for the two to slow down, not get separated. Honestly, he wanted to shake sense into all of them. If they lost each other it could be catastrophic. As soon as he reached the end and looked to his left, he felt his breath leaving him in a gasp and stilled. Sam and Rose were gone, there was no one in front of him. He took a step back, turning to talk to Monika. They had to stick together, they had to.His heart beat desperately. She wasn’t there. But that was hardly the most pressing matter.Sebestian surroundings had changed completely in the time it took for him to swivel back to look for the red head. He looked around, he wasn’t in the pack house anymore. He was in a dark alleyway. It was nighttime, puddles around the floor, neon lights from signs illuminating
Rose and Sam stood in the pack training room. To be honest she didn’t really know how they had gotten there, just that she was tired. Not much physically, but emotionally. She was going through a rollercoaster of emotions and she hadn’t even begun to start unpacking all of them and trying to assess what she felt in terms of everything they’d seen. She was at least glad Sam was with her. They hadn’t stopped holding hands yet, holding onto each other in support and fear of being separated. They had no idea where Sebestian and Monika were or how to get to them and apparently simply thinking about them really hard didn’t help. All that had managed to accomplish was a headache and the voices in the corridors screaming at them.Rose had no idea what had taken them into the memory they were seeing now but she wanted out. Not just of the memory but of her brother’s head. Allen didn’t deserve this. He didn’t deserve t
--Monika laughed at Sebestian comments. The four of them walked towards each other, meeting in the centre of the room. They all looked a bit tired, she guessed they’d all been seeing things they’d rather not. She could see Sebestian’ eyee was a bit smudged but she wouldn’t comment on it. The last thing she would do was judge the man and if he had been crying then she did not want to know what he’d seen.“Rose, please, you can’t go off like that. We should really stay together,” Sebestian was saying to Rose. His eyes immediately flicked over to Sam, giving him a pointed look.“I know,” Rose said. She dropped Sam hand and moved to hug Sebestian. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking.”He rubbed her back and hugged her. He didn’t say it was okay but the comfort was probably enough. Monika watch
