Abduct Her

As soon as Judith left for Windley, Valerie asked her maid to get a carriage ready for her. She was going to go to Napane to visit Lord Alburn and tell him about the wealth of information Judith had spilled to her. She was so excited that while she was packing, she stumbled twice on the hem of her gown. Her father gave her permission to leave because she had told him that she was going to meet Alburn’s wife, who in her father’s eyes was Valerie’s very good friend. “But why this sudden urgency, Valerie?” asked her father as he placed his pipe on the ashtray. “I think Lady Susan is pregnant again. She has asked me to give her company because she doesn’t want the pregnancy while Lord Alburn wants it. I am only going there to console her,” she replied wit

To The Chapel

Viola watched Judith taking out a small bottle of red draft. Judith’s eyes gave a warning to Viola when she opened her mouth to ask her about it. Viola snapped her mouth shut. “Meryl?” Judith called her in a pained voice. Meryl whipped her head towards her mother. Nervously, she asked, “What is it—” but she became absolutely quiet when a thick fog-like miasma shot towards her face and after that she didn’t remember anything. Even Viola was surrounded by the same miasma and she too had gone blank. “Drink this,” Judith ordered Meryl in a harsh voice, handing her the bottle with the draft. Meryl took the bottle from her mother’s hand and without a question, opened the lid and drank the entir

Dragons?

After Judith left his room, Lord Alex gulped his wine down. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and his lips peeled back in a smile. When Judith had revealed her plans to him, he was surprised. The woman was too evil and too greedy. He chuckled because it was her greed that was important and he had to fuel it. He went to his chest and dug for the money purses that he had hidden below his clothes. He removed the red cloth and picked up every red velvet bag which contained gold coins. It was exactly the same amount of money Judith had asked for. He tossed them in a larger bag and tied it securely.Lord Alex then wore one of his nice suits, clutched the red velvet box that contained two gold bands and ordered a servant to arrange a carriage for him. When he came out, the short and thin carriage man bowed to him and held the door open for him to sit. Alex nodded, feeling joyous. He hummed a tune while sitting i

Vows

Brishor stared at him with eyes full of hatred. “Why would I abduct you when all I can do is lock you in this place forever?” “You can't do this!” Lord Alex squeaked. “This is against the law. You think I won't be able to break the seal and escape? Once I am out of this place, I will inform the king about you. He is going to behead you!” Brishor raised his eyebrow. “Interesting.” Not wanting to stay in this place even for a minute, he looked at Chezzal, who nodded and then exited. Alex scrambled to his feet and got up to follow Chezzal, but Brishor shoved him back. The slight push was like a heavy push to Alex. He hurled in the air and hit the wall. He screamed with pain, and tried to scramble back to his feet. “I— I will leave. I won't co

How Dare You?

There was a buzz of activity and excitement in the castle when they heard the news. Every servant out there was more than happy. They were overjoyed. It was as if they had come out of the clutches of Judith, who they feared a lot. It was as if they had finally reached the light that they had seen at the end of the tunnel. Brishor was amazed to see the kind of excitement that buzzed in the air amongst the otherwise gloominess of the castle. They all clapped and congratulated him and bowed to him. Some even thanked him from saving them from a terror called Judith. A short and thin woman even suggested, “You can throw her in the dungeons, please.” And at that Brishor had laughed. The head cook announced that she would be delighted to make a sumptuous dinner to celebrate the occasion. Five young boys and girls volunteered to light up every s

Thrown Out

Judith screamed and even in that pain, she lunged at Patsy to remove her from her daughter, but Patsy was a minute faster than her. She launched a slap on her face with rage swelling in her chest. Judith was already shaky. Judith also tumbled to the ground, next to her daughter, looking with shock at the mere maid who was always so meek, who had all of a sudden shown her animosity. Patsy started panting. She peeled her lips from her teeth and sneered, “Don’t even think of it!” Saying that, she flicked the strand of her hair back with a jerk and walked away from there. When she walked past Brishor, she winked at him. She called the healer who was standing fixed to the ground. “Come on. What are you waiting for?” The healer was divided whether to heal the former ladies of the house or the new one. When Patsy prodded him,

I Love You

Brishor and Chezzal were at the end of their wits. Their minds played tricks on them. For the whole night neither could sleep. After what the healer told them, Brishor wanted to capture Judith and Viola and throw them inside the dungeons and then kill them slowly and painfully. In his frustration, he had pounded a table in the corner which shattered into hundreds of pieces. Chezzal sat right next to her, holding her hand. Often, he thought he heard her soft murmurs. He would jump upright to check her, only to see that she was still deeply sedated. Her breath had become slow and her heartrate just as slow. He felt as if his chest had a gaping hole. He would keep checking her pulse in her wrist but it was almost dying. He had started hallucinating things now. He would think that she had turned her head, only to find that she was lying on her back with no movement.

You Will be My Death, Meryl!

When Brishor and Chezzal came out, wrapped with towels around their hips, Meryl couldn’t help but stare at the two of them. So, she stared. Without blinking her eyes. Damp, with steam rising from their bodies, and with those chiseled planes, they looked like gods of sex walking on two legs. Her lips parted as she softly exhaled and her thighs clenched. The two dragons looked at each other and gave a knowing smile. They walked to sit on either side of her. Chezzal took his hands to her cheeks and brushed her lower lip. “What are you thinking, love?” he asked in a husky voice. “N—nothing!” she stuttered, as blush rose to her cheeks. Chezzal couldn’t help but think how innocent she was. She couldn’t hide her feelings for them. They were written all over

Dreamt of...

Brishor snapped his head at Chezzal. The General narrowed his eyes as his face twisted with anger. “I will be right back!” he said and turned to get out of the bed, when Brishor stopped him. “Don’t act in haste!” Brishor growled. Meryl’s gaze darted from Brishor’s face to Chezzal’s. “What is it?” she asked, totally confused and disturbed by the noises. She wanted to go out and look at what was going on. After a moment of silence, Brishor said, “You go out with Chezzal downstairs and see what is happening, while I go and check the perimeter of the castle. Were you expecting guests? Or did your mother say anything about receiving more guests?” Meryl shook her head. “Not to

Magic

The previous night when Meryl was unconscious for a long time, Brishor felt helpless. While Chezzal sat near her all the time, Brishor thought that he would go mad, if she didn’t wake up. In order to vent out his frustration, he had gone out of the castle and ran in the wilds until he was out of breath, until he lay on the ground hoping for his life to end. He dragged himself through the pain back to the castle and on his way back, he heard Judith and Viola. They had taken shelter in one of the crevices in the castle wall. They were injured and yet they were cursing Meryl. Pissed as hell, he had dragged them inside the castle and then thrown them in the dungeons that had been closed for a long time. The women had shrieked and shouted in protest, but in front of a massive dragon like him and two soldiers who had chained them, they couldn’t do much. The dungeons had rusted iron doors and we
