Chapter 30

One Month Later   It had continued since that night. The bloodshed had continued.         Everyone was awakened everyday by loud cries and weeping. Every morning, a new body was buried, or rather bodies were buried.         So far, the pack had lost forty five members. Although we were all aware that it was the handiwork of the Lycans, we never still caught them during operation. Even when everyone stayed awake till morning, somebody would still be found dead.           Dylan was growing temporarily insane as everyone looked up to him for solutions and although none of the pack members said it out loud to his hearing, he was still aware of

Chapter 31

Beads of sweat formed on my face as I stared at the two envelopes before me.          My mind raced and my heart jumped continuously in my chest.          Should I? I wondered as I tampered with the seal of the first envelope which was supposingly from my late father.          I exhaled loudly from my slightly trembling lips and rubbed my sweaty palms on my jean pleated skirt.         I took in courage as I opened the seal of the envelope, by the way, I might not have the chance to read them again.

Chapter 32

I guided my face with my hand as the bright lights made me lose sight.        The lights were turned off and at my front was Checkmate.        "Checkmate?" I wondered in surprise. "What are you doing.here?"      "Actually, I should be asking you that." He replied      "You shouldn't be awake this late in the night. What of if…"           "The lycans? Don't bother," he replied as he flaunted  an old hunter's gun in his hands. "I'm waiting fo

Chapter 33

I couldn't believe that I had slept despite my distraughted heart and my troubled thoughts.        Although, it was merely for an hour and half, I still felt ridiculous.       How could I have fallen asleep when my world was on fire. My life and dreams were finally over. It felt like the end of the world to me—atleast the end of my own world.       The lycan lady beside me had increased the volume of the radio, most likely to wake me up.          I yawned tiredly and stretched my legs and hands. "Damn!" I exclaimed.

I attempted looking back but she twisted my face. "Don't." She said aggressively.        "Is he Lord Saints?" I asked fearfully.      She didn't respond but continued leading me back to the truck.       As we arrived at the truck, she pushed me into the car, which led to me hitting my fore head. I bellowed in pain which drew the attention of the so-called person we avoided.       "Scar!" He called out. The Lycan lady paused in a heartbeat and after some seconds she turned around reluctantly and let out an insincere smile. "My Lord, Sebastian. Good day."

The car stopped and the doors were opened by guards.         "Help her out!" Sebastian ordered. "She has a wounded leg."      Two guards who opened the door closest to me and reached out to help but I declined their offer. "I'm fine." I said as I struggled to my feet.        We were at the front of a white mansion in a very large compound, probably several acres.     He grabbed my hand and led me to the building. "Let's go see my family."      As we got in, I felt frozen as I had never seen a place so beautiful bef

Chapter 36

Had I been dreaming?          Was everything one long awful dream? Was it just an awful nightmare which I'd soon wake up from? I'd probably wake up to Maribel's voice, telling me to hurry to school. Have another day facing Clarissa and Janette awfulness, then I would ride back home with my bicycle, singing along to my favorite band music.          A life, where things like werewolves and Lycans weren't real. A life where I was nothing but a normal girl with normal dreams, wishes and goals. A life where I wasn't a sex slave.           But then it wasn't a dream. It was real.        It

Chapter 37

Chris led me to another side of the tower which wasn't made tattered and rocky like the first side. This other side was furnished and the brick walls were covered up with wallpapers.       I saw a lot of people here, mostly women and children and very few guards.        The place had many rooms, lounges, and suites and was very rowdy.          Chris was greeted by so many people on this side, almost like he was some sort of celebrity.           We went round the place over and over again and still Chris still didn't adhere to my suggestion of asking the peopl

They opened the door and the first sight i saw brought tears to my eyes.     Maribel was seated on a basket wicker chair which rocked back and forth. She had a novel in her hands which she concentrated on which made her not notice that three people had walked in.          What brought a faint smile and two heavy drops of tears from.my eyes was the large bump on her belly.   "Maribel." I said faintly. "Maribel."        She lowered the novel and stared at who was calling her. As her eyes met mine I could see the shock in her eyes.    &n

"I really don't know." She said, breaking into tears.         "It's alright." I said, patting her back as she cried.        She cleaned her face and sniffed loudly.
