Brooklyn- Getting my hands on Chad’s throat, I could have easily done a partial shift on my hand and ripped out his throat. Chad must have seen the intention in my gaze as well because his eyes widened in surprise. It would have been quick, painless even, I would never have to deal with him again. So why did I hesitate? My hesitation allowed Chad the opportunity to escape. He didn’t just escape, no, he ran. Instead of attacking me again, he took off in a different direction. I thought about chasing after him, to do the very thing I hesitated on, but I couldn’t afford to leave Tate or Jarod alone. Things were escalating out of control.
