Brooklyn-
The name was like a distant memory. It felt like it happened so long ago. The night Felix nearly forced me to have sex with him, had been the last time I saw him. I had thought that I was free of him, thinking of the notes now that I knew who wrote them, I could see I wasn’t.
“How do you know it was him?” I asked, stepping back from Tate so I could pick up the notes.
I just needed to keep myself busy. When I looked towards the ground where they had been laying, I saw Eric had already picked them up and was reading them. The look on his face was full of anger and disgust. I could only imagine what Tate must have looked like when he read them.
Eric hadn’t said a word, in fact I had thought maybe he had left. Now I could see he had just been reading the notes. Just earlier he had been upset I was hiding something from him, well now he knew. Was he going to be upset with me as well?
The look he gave me after he looked up from the notes,
Brooklyn-The next day flew by in a blink of an eye. Tate and I were up early to start training since we expected things were going to be busy. Which is exactly what happened. As soon as we were done training, we went back to get changed and showed. Since yesterday morning I hadn’t received another note, but that all changed after I finished with my shower. Except for this time, Tate was the one who found the note. It hadn’t said much more than, ‘See you soon.’ For the next few hours, the entire pack had been on high alert as we tried to see if we could catch him. Three hours in, we had no luck. If it hadn’t been for my uncle showing up, we would have continued looking. As soon as he arrived, he went straight to work with putting up a ward around the territory. Tate still hadn’t been happy with having a warlock in the borders of his pack, but he said that I had a right to know my uncle. Not to mention that after the
Brooklyn-The guys all gathered in the living room, but it didn’t seem as if they had much to say. Every so often when I looked over at them, they were all just sitting at there. If things weren’t awkward enough, it was more awkward as they just sat there looking at each other.Thankfully it didn’t take much longer to finish making everyone the food. Just as I was about to start getting everyone’s plate made, Tate came in to lend me a hand. He held each plate for me as I dished it out. Taking a warmed slice of homemade bread, I placed it at the bottom, then placed the stuffed hamburgers on top of the bread, followed by fries that covered the hamburger. After pouring some of the chili over the fries, I sprinkled some shredded cheese over everything. Since there wasn’t enough space in the kitchen for everyone, Tate carried the plates out to the living room for everyone. I can’t remember ever eating in the living room li
Tatum-Just as planned, we all met at the backside of the pack territory. Brook and I were there first to arrive, but we didn’t have long to wait until Ryan and Jarrod, along with Ryan’s guards, arrived. We were just waiting on Eric, who still had ten more minutes.“Are you up for this tonight?” Ryan asked Brook.I looked over at Brook and found her fidgeting with her hands. She looked nervous, but I had complete faith in her abilities. This morning when we were training, it was as if she did a complete turnaround.Never in my life have I ever seen someone improve so much in their abilities, in just a short time. Watching her had been the highlight of my day. She was flawless in her movements and effortless in her attacks. I had asked her earlier how she was feeling about things; she had claimed she was fine. Now, however, she looked as if she were ready to upchuck. “We don’t have to do this tonight if you aren&
Brooklyn- When we were about five miles away from Lunar Eclipse, Ryan sent his two guards to scout the area. We held off from moving forward, while we waited for them to return. It didn’t take too long for them to return, but when they did, we still didn’t continue forward. I looked over at Eric and he didn’t seem to care, he just stood there on high alert. Looking behind me, I noticed Tate had shifted back into human form and was walking forward. I tried not to let my thoughts wander at seeing him like this. This wasn’t the time or place to be fantasizing about him. When Tate got in front of us, Ryan shifted into his human form. I looked back over at Eric who still stayed in wolf form, but I was starting to wonder what was going on. I thought we were staying in wolf form until we were about three miles out. “We have a problem.” Ryan said, once he was in human form. “What is going on?” Tate asked, sounding every bit the Alpha I knew him to b
Brooklyn-When we arrived at the border, I was a bit surprised when we just walked right past one of my old pack members. I know Jarod said he could get us in undetected, but this was unreal. It wasn’t that I hadn’t believed it, but it was a whole different thing entirely when I was seeing it happen. I waited until we were a safe distance away before saying anything.“How is it possible that he didn’t even catch our scent or see us?” I whispered, trying not to cause any unwanted attention our way.“You don’t have to whisper. They can’t sense us at all. In order for me to explain it fully, you would have to understand magic. The best I can do is say it in a way you would understand. Basically, what I am doing is keeping a shield of a sort around us that keeps the others out. There is a thing known as light and dark energy. The dark energy recognizes negative energy, so when around an enemy it reacts to it and repels
Tatum-The moment I had caught his scent, it was as if everything around me just stopped. I could recognize his scent anywhere. It had been all over Leslie. I didn’t need to know who he was, to know that he was the hunter that brutally killed her.I could still remember where I was and who I was with, so I knew I couldn’t attack. The moment he had mentioned taking Brook, something inside me snapped. It was taking every bit of control I had to not just make my move now. I realize now that avenging Leslie was no longer the issue, it was protecting Brook.Just knowing that the hunters were out there and a possible danger to Brook, is why I wanted to get rid of the hunters now. Taking out Leslie’s killer, would now just be a bonus. I had thought that there was going to be nothing that would take my attention off finding the one that killed Leslie. The moment I had spotted him though, I had just thought of the possibility that he could get to
Brooklyn- Getting my hands on Chad’s throat, I could have easily done a partial shift on my hand and ripped out his throat. Chad must have seen the intention in my gaze as well because his eyes widened in surprise. It would have been quick, painless even, I would never have to deal with him again. So why did I hesitate? My hesitation allowed Chad the opportunity to escape. He didn’t just escape, no, he ran. Instead of attacking me again, he took off in a different direction. I thought about chasing after him, to do the very thing I hesitated on, but I couldn’t afford to leave Tate or Jarod alone. Things were escalating out of control. Between Jarod and me, we managed to kill three of our attackers each, but as soon as one was down, another would show up. Tate was still fighting with the first hunter and more have arrived. Eric had given a distraction alright, apparently, they were drawing the pack’s attention as well from different locations, but it w
Brooklyn-The pain of having a wolf’s teeth embedded in my shoulder was almost too much to take. When I felt it release me, I struggled to keep myself on my feet. I could feel my body getting weaker as the blood continued to ooze out of me.I felt someone wrap their arms around me, from behind, causing me to instinctively lash out. Throwing my head back, I heard a grunt, but whoever held onto me kept a firm grip. Unsure if it was from feeling weak or if it was because they were much stronger than me, either way, I felt trapped.“Easy girl, it's me.”At the sound of Eric’s voice, I relaxed and allowed him to support my weight. Dizziness washed over me, in multiple waves. It was as if I was getting with a couple of dizzy spells at the same time. Maybe I wasn’t as strong as I thought I was, because, at this moment, I didn’t think I could continue to fight.“Eric, I…” I began but was quickly cut of
