Lahat ng Kabanata ng A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

Chapter 11 "Adlai, your name has incredible meaning. It means that God is just, yeah, your name has that heavenly meaning. So do not feel forsaken by the heavens, time will come that good times will come flocking around you. Just trust that someone, the God from the heavens, who created the heavens and earth." Mr. and Mrs. Samson joyfully talked to Adlai while the latter is voraciously eating the delivery food the old couple ordered online.  Mr. and Mrs. Samson, like the meaning of their names, is the sun that shines in the lives of the poor people in the streets. They are filthy rich who had a lot of money and property to burn, so they are spending all of it to help the people in the lower class. They treasure all kinds of people, whether they be rich or poor, especially the poor. Especially Adlai, the poorest of the poor in the streets of Manila. He is a struggling medical student who sustains for himself, and hardly had any food to eat and water to drink thre

Chapter 13 A familiar sound commonly heard in the movies echoed in the thick walls of the whole hospital room. "His oxygen levels are decreasing! His heart rate too! Push more medicine!" "Epinephrine! Adrenaline! What are you doing, people?" More panicky hospital staff flooded the room-some were carrying more syringes, gauze, and vast arrays of different life-saving medicines to save the patient but to no avail. The flat line stayed as it is, not showing any signs of improvement. Many minutes passed, and the hospital staff are still pushing medicine into Tanashiri's body. It seemed like a futile effort. They looked like they only wanted the father of Tanashiri, the old man Paciano. "We are not doing the standard operating procedure anymore. It would only be a waste. We should stop now. We should announce that he is already dead." The head doctor said to the staff inside t

Chapter 15 "What a waste. You have it all, Sir. The looks, money, and fame, but you died at a very young age. Well, that is how life is. You will never know when your time is done. Rest well, Sir." The guy at the morgue who pushed Tanashiri's deathbed inside is a very courteous guy. He talks to every person that dies in the hospital he is in charge of, as if they are still alive. "For now, Sir, I will put you inside the freezer, I got to pee. I will leave you here for the meantime, to see if you will be that one in a million who will come back from the dead. But please, do not come back anymore. If that happens, maybe you will be a zombie. Toodles, see you tomorrow, or another day." The morgue guy wrapped Tanashiri's cold body in a blanket. "Asshole, you idiot, I am alive!" The young guy got out of the morgue to do his own thing. "Help! I am breathing! I am not dead! Get me out of here before I beat all your asses out!" Tanashi

Chapter 17 "Now I know, all people around me are lying to me. They are all poker-faced, wearing some well-made masks. The only one who is not lying to my face is my father, the one who has always beat me to death ever since I was a child. I hated him to the core, but after all these happenings, these tragedies, he is the only one who cared for me, sincerely, without ulterior motives." "I like knowing the fact that I really exist in the eyes of people around me as me, not just some scumbag son of a company owner. I feel less lonely. Living this shitty life is lonely itself, but them noticing me made me feel feelings I did not feel before. I would rather pick real insults than fake compliments." Tanashiri, the bad boy, is having an emotional and mental breakdown inside. He wanted to cry, loudly, to be heard by his father, as he regretted what he had done to his father, all his wrongdoings, but he cannot do it. He cannot wake up, hug him, and tell him that every

Chapter 19 Tanashiri's POV (Speaking in the Filipino language) "Something is wrong. Something is really wrong. I can feel it." He turned around and scrutinized everything before his eyes. The snow he wants to feel and see when he was a toddler, was here, in front of him. Whenever his father promised to take him and his mother abroad to see some snow, he is always screaming with glee. He always had these sparkling eyes when his father mentions snow, except when he grew up to be a young man. That is when he realized that his father is only fooling him, giving false promises. His mother's lips are smiling, but her eyes are empty. His mother's face is painted vividly in his mind now that he is old enough to remember things and read between the lines.  It is like her mother's face is painted gray, even if her smile and voice are sincere.  His mother endured it all, all the sadness, and pretended that she is loved dearly.
