Chapter 21

SSHS 21 The two whispered in unison as they stood there in shock. The guards that were with them held the culprit tightly, two guards were needed to hold the culprit down as another one tried to put hand-cuffs which is hard to do— after all, the culprit was so flexible, the guards almost let go of her when she twisted her body along with her hands.“How could you do this, Mrs. Letrain?” Damian asked to the coach that was being held down by two guards. She looked at him from her peripheral vision and scoffed as a response. No, she won’t speak to anyone, even to the Student Council President. He’s just a student after all, barely holding any authority to this school if not the faculty and the dean actually backing him up. She doesn’t recognize the Student Council as anything but a plaything for the students to try

Chapter 22

SSHS 22Another week for the students of La Florence Academy, another week of rigorous studying and achieving the top, another week of socialising with others and building connections, and another week of knowing the latest news that the birds have sent out and about. And the highlight of the news for this week is the Student Council Vice President not present on the school grounds, and no one has seen her since morning. Now that is intriguing. “Has anybody seen her?” asked one of the students that is currently roaming the grounds of the Academy.“No, and neither does any of our group.” Another student replied. Apparently, it’s lunch time and everyone, instead of actually eating their lunch, arr

Chapter 23

SSHS 23 The atmosphere was indeed heavy, and over all inducing the two young spies’ anxiety. But they have to face this, this can be considered as a learning experience after all. “I have heard that your first mission was a success and it was done in a fast manner. For rookies, finishing a mission in less than a month really is a great feat, and with that I congratulate you.” The senior spy spoke in a gentle manner at first, with regards to congratulating Hestia and Albert with their first mission. It is indeed true, mostly, rookies like them would take one to one and a half months to finish the mission given, and yet they were able to do so in a fast manner. The two were only able to bow their heads as a reply to the compliment, they were too nervous to speak.

Chapter 24

SSHS 24  It has been two weeks ever since Hestia was excused from school.  It has been two weeks ever since anyone saw her walk down the pavement of the school roads with her usual ice cold eyes and stone like face, yet there was a hint of smile that graced her lips from time to time. It has been two weeks since the charity event.  It has been two weeks ever since the Vice President of the Student Council has done her duties.   Today marks the half of the month of September, which means th

Chapter 25

SSHS 25   All stood shocked as they saw Hestia in the open doors of the Student Council Office. They all stood there, unmoving as if their limbs were frozen still, like unbendable steel that is so solid it cannot even be moved, like something in thor gears are stuck. And oh, their faces— all mouths were wide open and were like that, their eyes were popped open and they all looked like they had seen a ghost. The only thing needed is for their face to turn into a pale white and the expression of ‘seen a ghost’ would be complete. Only that, there’s no ghost, just Hestia. Just Hestia with her face, where an expression lies like it was stitched or tattooed. Her eyes held nothing but cold, and it was somehow emotionless, her eyes laid just still and looking at the three peo

Chapter 26

SSHS 26 Boxes upon boxes, all with labels of their own. The boxes were sorted in a pile-like structure and each pile represents a different category from one another. Each box holds many folders inside of them— that also has their own labels of course— as it is easier to track them whenever one of them is needed and it is easier to take them out. The boxes were organised, in a neat pile and easy to move. This is how Hestia’s mind is constructed. This is how her mind would be represented, this is how the inside of her mind would look like if we were to take a look. Neat, organised and disciplined, just like how Hestia is. Hestia is the ideal type— the one who everyone looks up to, everyone wants to move like her, everyone wants to think like her— everyone wants to be like her. And

Chapter 27

SSHS 27 After a short nap, Hestia got up from the sofa and observed her surroundings. Turning her head from left to right, she took in how the day was nearing the late hours of the afternoon as the hues outside of the windows were painted with orange, yellow and then faded to violet and blue— indicating the wee hours of the afternoon. She also noticed that there was no more chatter present anymore, that everything was quiet. Except from the faint scratching of a certain pen to a course paper. She turned her head to where the sound was coming from and she saw Damian, sitting while intently focused on what he was writing. He seemed to be composing an essay of some sort as he sometimes stops mid writing and seemed to contemplate for a

Chapter 28

SSHS 28  By the second day that Hestia was back to school, as fast as the rumours go, as vicious as the flashing flood did the students of La Florence Academy were swarming the school ground talking and sharing gossips about the whereabouts of the Student Council Vice President, as feral as they were when she came back yesterday, swallowing her in darkness as they asked questions after questions without any break or pause, how their curiosity was flooding the whole atmosphere in a suffocating sense— — did they grow quiet just as fast.    Just as vicious as they were just a few weeks ago, when they would lounge at the target person of the gossip to ask endless questions, ju

Chapter 29

SSHS 29 It was the second day of her return, and she has a lot of work to do. Paper works are laying in a neat pile beside the table of the Student Council President and are waiting to be touched, reviewed and signed. It was the second day of her return and there was a lot of work to do. She has yet to ask the two other members about any meetings, any upcoming events and the likes. It was the second day of her return and there was a lot to be done, and yet, when she opened the doors to her classroom, everything went quiet. Even Excami stopped talking and looked in her direction.  “Good morning Hestia.” Excami greeted her with a wave and a bright smile and then went back to talking with the other students. Excami was the only one who greeted her as she entered the cl

Chapter 30

SSHS 30  “Ms. Galvez, this is the fourth time that you have been sent here in my office for the same exact reason. And I have told you time and time again in which you responded to understand and will never to do so— that to never bully another student as it is unethical, unconstitutional and down right petty on your part,” The Guidance Counsellor couldn’t help but heave a deep sigh and lightly massage her temples, as it is particularly stressing to be dealing with Ms. Galvez. “I am quite surprised that you always seem to get yourself out of this trouble, only so that your parents wouldn’t hear about this. However, you may not escape this time, I am sending you home immediately with a suspension letter.” Ms. Galvez— or more kno
