With everyone’s agreement, they signed a paper, permitting Marcelo to release the students’ grades. The students who came with their teachers stayed in the back of the room. There were not a lot of students inside as several of them used the time to hang out with their friends. In the front, Marcelo set up one of the laptops the school owned and connected it to the projector. He then inserted his USB flash drive and opened the document where he had stored the grades of the students. Since the school year started, Dawn could see that there are plenty of expenses that came with it every time she participates in school events.   Not only that, the cost added to their bills because of her usage of the computer and especially with the internet. Now, with the intramurals coming, she still needed to buy her own equipment. She doesn’t have her own badminton and table tennis rackets. She would have to buy that soon.   Dawn was dreading having to tell Estela this. She didn’t want to add to her worries. If this was back in her previous life, she would have been able to get a part-time job. Theresa looked at the girl across from her and wondered if Estela would reprimand her.   Even though the person in front of her was now a teenager, she still couldn’t forget Dawn’s image as a toddler.   And right now, Dawn was interrupting the adults’ conversation.   However, Estela didn’t reprimand her and looked at Dawn instead, waiting for the explanation.   Theresa sighed. “Go ahead.”   “Ma’am, the money was sent to me as payment for a work I’ve made. Seeing as they’ve only sent that amount now, I assume they’ve divided it into installments.”  

Estela was surprised to see the Governor’s son with her daughter. He even carried bags with him while Dawn only has her own backpack. “Come in.. come in..” The mother welcomed their guest into their residence. She made eye contact with her daughter as if waiting for an explanation. Keenan caught this exchange. “Umm. Ma’am.. I apologize for bringing her home late. I invited her to eat out earlier.” His eyes looked sincere enough. However, it was not that late anyway.
