Far Away From Home

Patches of dark clouds hung as if suspended by the fingers of an emerging, crescent moon. Drums, throbbing in the heart of the land,a cast of round thatched abodes crowned with unexplainable symbols of peace, but with the impressions of horror.   Pradai laid offshore, with the winds of the earth blowing like whistles, making a rhythm of no life. The young girl only knew what her mission was and was only concerned with the fact that she had accomplished her mission.  But then what? How does she get out of the unknown place? she doesn't even know where her journey had brought her to. All she could remember was getting down the mountains after taking the book of the santacas, and of course one which was still with her, but right there on the island she knew not of how she got there, perhaps it must have been the mystic power she had just obtained—she concluded.    She couldn't sense nor seem to know where the road

Oh, Is Just The Young Meivs

Two cute little faces with long ears and live long ponytails, black as coal and silk as milk, swimming in the air of enchantment, adored star eyes and echoing voices with clear human colour but un-human skin stood tall beside the strange figure which had laid in the grass grounds for days without moving and talking. Only the heart locomoted the only sound they could hear from Pradai who had been laying down as if forgotten where she was, sleeping like a baby who haven't had a sleep since days of illness.     The young meivs stood puzzled and constantly staring at each other, in astonishment, fear and confusion. They stood and watched Pradai without making a noise.      Pradai stretched herself, she could feel the light of the morning, she sniffed in , inhaled and exhaled to fresh green vegetation, green leaves giving off sweet aromas, slowly and gradually she started opening her eyes, but she couldn't fully open it

Evil's Wake

They started looking for their escaped treasure, which had just been loosed, they swept across thick leaves and plants, beautiful flowers and other magical creatures that adored the territory. Pradai knew that she would be caught if she continued running, instead she hid herself, but unfortunately the bartuans had a foresight, so it wasn't hard to spot Pradai.    Pradai trembled and shivered not because of the new unfriendly territory but the cold and fright accompanied with it. What she have seen, she had never seen before, it was all clear that she was in another world, but she was confused– if they were the good guys or the bad guys, because her fate was in their hands, whoever they be.    She stopped panting and decided to listen for a while and all she could hear was her throbbing heartbeat. She could sense danger nearby, but she was Pradai, tired of running for nothing to nowhere, whatever her fate was,

The Elf Thief

Through the little holes in the cave, the morning sun penetrated as if seeking out a high value treasure, shining it's beautiful rays, stretching out like shooting stars and filling the cave with warmth and bliss. Baby flowers sprouted up to be partakers of this once in a while blessing. The beautiful harmless little flies whispered to each other with the language only they could understand, with smiles in their tones, they whisked all around the cave dancing to the rhythm only they can make. While the birds outside chapped and singed and merried.  But what about them? The young Meivs were busy making disturbing sounds with their snoring, and as they stretched and stretched,"Oh what a morning" Curl said appreciating the blessing as he was still laying there, eyes closed. He tried to open his eyes, but he so loved the moment not to continue sleeping, so he wasn't going to apply pressure, even so, flickering his eyes was bett

The Strange Stranger Tells Her Story

They set out the next day to old Gaius, the most capable Meiv who could explain any phenomena to them. He was an expert in everything, they took him as a blessing given to them. Except for his magic tricks that don't always work, he was a good wizard. He wore glasses bigger than his eyes which always extended all through his face, he had several modifications and several colours for different occasions. He was exceptional and loved by all, especially young Meivs who trusted him with their secrets. Although there were healers, he was also in the position of attending to the sick, well, they had to take the risk. His portions were always fifty/fifty. Either it works or not. He was only six feet, which was considered short for the average Meiv. Not to young Meivs though.    Kar and Curl took Pradai to old Gaius's house which was on top of a hill and visitors always had to climb some not-so-tall steps made with weak woods which never break.

A Threat?

She had said her story, they had to accept it for what it was, but whether they accept it or not, it doesn't really matter because the Meiv's Council were the ones who would give the final verdict.   They were a group of seven warriors, they were clan heads considered to be protectors. They protect the people from external threats and have the authority to assign warriors under them. They were handpicked by their spirit guides, from their different clans, and only the strongest were chosen. That was what Curl dreamed of, to be a Biac warrior under the Meiv's Council. And to achieve this, he would have to be strong, like really really strong and fearless. They were called The Lynx Lynch because once they win over a Lynx, a wild cat-like animal with sharp fangs, sharp sense and with a violent nature. Runs faster than them, stronger than them, bigger than them, but not more intelligent. Once they win over a Lynx, they get possess

The Wizard's Apprentice

"As crows sing, as dead bodies laugh, as the warrior cries, as the night dies with the sun kissing and mesmerizing the moon, the little stars gather around the big hole of the squirrel, squeaking themselves inside for a chance to shine for themselves, for the squirrel might use them as lanterns when they excrete and as table towels when they vomit. Eww that's so gross. And as the … the chipmunk mounts on the chimpanzee… seriously? And rides with the primate all along the axis of the universe in two days, the lands shake, the land grumbles for a hero is dead" …"Hmm, seriously does any of these makes sense?" Pradai snarled peevishly at old man Gaius"Hehe exactly! don't complain you have been learning for the past one week, and all you have succeeded doing is burning my hairs with your so called portion" Gaius snarled back, resting his hands on his waist"And all you have succeeded in teaching me is how to make smokes of m

Welcomed, Not Accepted

"Don't worry, I will be just fine. I have taken in all you have said to me, trust me I will do well to keep a low profile, chill. Just them, I am not going to parade myself for everyone to see me haha" Pradai assured old man Gaius not to worry about her getting caught or anything. "You better be. And be back on time" Gaius added. Pradai got down from the tree house and started walking away. She stopped and waved at old man Gaius"Have a good morning sir!" She said and off she went with joy in her heart. Gaius smiled"She really does have a strong spirit. And a cheerful heart" Gaius said, inhaling the good morning scents from the plants all around.                                        ****  It took Pradai some time to get off the hill area, she had been given direction already by old man Gaius, even if he didn't, she

Fairy Wings

It was another beautiful day for Pradai and old man Gaius. And just like before, they would do some cleaning, most times, it was cleaning the mess they had done with their magical portions, or medicines that old man Gaius tried to make. As they had their morning food, which was mostly made up of fruits and vegetables, the morning sun shined through the holes and windows. Since they lived in a tree house on a hill, they had the blissful warmth of the sun and the goodness of every morning. Pradai just finished reading a supposed magic book when she remembered something. Although the book was useless to her, somehow she started enjoying reading it as it was. "You know. I didn't tell you this yesterday because I didn't think much of it, but it just occurred to me now. I think is something I should be worried about" said Pradai deep in thoughts. "I know is crazy, but still, what if something bad had happened? And they will
