Through the little holes in the cave, the morning sun penetrated as if seeking out a high value treasure, shining it's beautiful rays, stretching out like shooting stars and filling the cave with warmth and bliss. Baby flowers sprouted up to be partakers of this once in a while blessing. The beautiful harmless little flies whispered to each other with the language only they could understand, with smiles in their tones, they whisked all around the cave dancing to the rhythm only they can make. While the birds outside chapped and singed and merried.

But what about them? The young Meivs were busy making disturbing sounds with their snoring, and as they stretched and stretched,

"Oh what a morning" Curl said appreciating the blessing as he was still laying there, eyes closed.

He tried to open his eyes, but he so loved the moment not to continue sleeping, so he wasn't going to apply pressure, even so, flickering his eyes was better, not until he saw a figure standing in front of him. He didn't even find the strength to stand up with immediate alacrity, but he opened his eyes widened to see Pradai staring at him.

"Ummm what can I do for you?" Asked Curl unsure of what to do. So he tapped Kar to wake up, because he didn't know what this thing was up to.

Kar stretched and yawned, and opened his eyes to the scene, he looked at Curl and back at Pradai

"Why is it looking at us like that?" Kar asked Curl, telepathically.

"Why do you think I woke you up?" Curl replied.

Pradai bent even nearer , and they kept shifting aside, until she started touching Curl's ponytail, which to their astonishment, the ponytail wrapped itself around Pradai arms… something that have never happened before , for a stranger, although they didn't quite understand it, but it meant she was one of them. The Meiv's ponytail would only wrap around good souls. And to them that was what they took it as. She was good. She won't be harmful or dangerous.

"Wow, okay…" Kar was speechless, Curl tried to stand up and excuse himself but Pradai won't let go

"Umm I need to get up okay…?" He withdrew his ponytail to the back and Pradai gave them space. They exhaled and pushed themselves outside.

"First of all, I'm hungry!" said Curl, yawning and stretching again, Pradai came out from the cave to join them. They kept looking at her as if she had changed.

"We should take her to old Gaius" Curl whispered to Kar

"Huh? No way, do you know what trouble we will bring to us. No, at least not yet, we don't even know what this thing is'' added Kar.

"Aishh, so what do we do now?"

"Hmm I don't know. Maybe go home and come back later"

"I have an idea" Curl smiled

"What?" Asked Kar anxiously

"Let's go hunting!"

"Seriously??" Hissed Kar

"Maybe you didn't hear me well… I am Hungryyy!"

"Errrm fine, but you will do the hunting yourself, I will just follow you , umm and…"

Curl stopped him halfway, he knew he was afraid to hunt, and can't even hunt.

"Don't worry Kar,haha" Curl gave him a pat on the back and off they went to hunt for bush meat, Pradai followed them behind but very closely.

There was no big consumable animals in that area so they were in for only rabbits which was somewhat hard to find, but fortunately for their sharp senses, it won't be too hard.

Curl was leading them ahead while Pradai stayed at the back. In a short while, he gave them a sign to keep quiet and quietly spread out. There was a rabbit in the corner and he was going to catch it ,not until Pradai mistakenly matched on a rustling stick while she was "spreading out" the rabbit saw them and swiftly sprung and ran for it's dear life, Curl was disappointed, Pradai looked at both of them in awe "they are to chase that meat!" She thought.

And quickly, she went after the rabbit, running as fast as possible. Meanwhile Curl and Kar was still there motionless

"That thing chased after a rabbit?!" Curl said smiling

"I must see for myself! Haaa" he ran after her and Kar followed without saying a word.

Pradai grabbed a huge wood from the ground and threw it at the rabbit, and with the speed of the rabbit and wood, it hit the rabbit causing it to die in that instant.

But upon reaching the spot, delighted that she was going to eat a lot, she couldn't find the rabbit again. She saw the blood line, and traced it with her eyes, she saw small drops of blood dripping onto a leaf, she looked straight to see the rabbit hanging upside down, wondering how it was possible, she took some steps forward, and to her utmost surprise, saw two beautiful blue eyes looking at her, the face was hiding in the leafy leaves, curious to see what or who it is, although slightly afraid but she thought it might be one of the two creatures she had been with.

Moving forward and forward, she slowly removed the leaves covering the face. It was clear to her, the face looked innocent cute, and the eyes were magical, the lips were as red as cherry, and ears were elongated and with a sharpened end. The two of them gasped, but the Elf smiled and slowly while looking directly at Pradai's eyes kissed her, Pradai eyes widened and she felt a rush

Before the young Meivs could reach…

" I will see you again" Said the Elf thief in Elvish language, and somehow, Pradai saw herself understanding the words, but she was still too overwhelmed to talk. She ran away before Kar and Curl reached. Although they saw something, they didn't need to see fully to know, even from a distance, even from a sniff they will always know. They looked at Pradai's hand first, the rabbit was in her hand, big enough. Curl smiled, she looked at her hand and saw she was holding the rabbit

"How come?" She said, but it was elvish language, they couldn't understand. It was another moment to look at each other.

"The Elf thief was here" Kar said

"Did it just speak Elvish?!"

Curl exclaimed. They couldn't understand what just happened.

"Curl, you are right. Let's take it to old Gaius."

"Erm, what about the rabbit?"

"Let's make a roast it back at the cave"

Curl took the rabbit from her hand, Kar walked away and he followed him. He looked back to see Pradai still standing there, and motioned her to follow them, she joyfully walked after them.

Except for his magic tricks that don't always work, he was a good wizard. He wore glasses bigger than his eyes which always extended all through his face, he had several modifications and several colours for different occasions. He was exceptional and loved by all, especially young Meivs who trusted him with their secrets. Although there were healers, he was also in the position of attending to the sick, well, they had to take the risk. His portions were always fifty/fifty. Either it works or not. He was only six feet, which was considered short for the average Meiv. Not to young Meivs though. Kar and Curl took Pradai to old Gaius's house which was on top of a hill and visitors always had to climb some not-so-tall steps made with weak woods which never break.

As if the morning was also anticipating the big day for Iliya, Peregrin and the ViNenar sà, the youngest squad from the Elvish army. Even so, as a leader, Peregrin knew better than anyone else that every little detail matters when it came down to secret missions. Iliya held her sword in her hand, glancing at it like it was the first time she had ever seen it. With a deep sigh, she closed her eyes and brought the sword to her chest. "To be one with one's weapon, one must accept whatever comes with and from it" Peregrin said, approaching Iliya. Iliya opened her eyes and glanced at his squad. "Are they ready?" "Are you?" Peregrin retorted. Iliya didn't answer. She would have to be most nervous. "Of all of us here, you're the one who's afraid the most. And I'm beginning to wonder, perh

Iliya couldn't figure out what to do next, her heart ached but so much so her broken strength and faith. And as she watched the new moon from one of the city tops, hanging on a cliff, memories of Pradai surfaced, flooding in like quick clips in a blue spiral. She smiled as she burst into tears. "I'm sorry, Pradai" She said in tears. She had managed to carry her leg as it was all through it all, pretending that it never existed, but it was apparent and was hurting so much like her heart did. She didn't have to give up, and there was no other option than to find another way, which would need a lot of thinking. Her heart beat was all she heard, since the night was a quiet and peaceful one. But she heard footsteps approaching, on turning around, she caught a young warrior halfway toward her with one of his legs raised up. He smiled sheepishly "Hey, sorry. Didn't mean to creep you out…" "It's okay—" "But what are you doing here?" He mo

Iliya instructed them to get some strong log of woods and find bush ropes. And in no time, the two young Meivs had Iliya's request granted. And she single-handedly made herself a supporting pillar on her leg.How she did it, they had no idea of, for it seemed like she had some experience before in doing wonders with woodsticks and bush ropes. They saw that she was crafty, and her craft was indeed mastered. It only took Iliya a few moments to set up completely, what she needed to be able to walk by herself. It didn't look less like a clutch, nor did it look much like an artificial leg. The woodsticks were placed seperately and single paced, facing each other and the bush ropes were used to tie them together while making a space in the middle– enough to have her legs comforted by it. The ropes also had an intersection which made the final draw, when she had her legs inside the craft with strong confidentiality.
