  Flashback         "Why do you look so anxious?" Allen asked his bestfriend as she sat by his bedside in the hospital, holding his free hand. "I'm just really worried" she breathed, her eyes reflecting the worry and anxiousness she was feeling. Allen sighed, his eyes fluttering close briefly."I'll be fine""Allen you passed out, don't you remember that? You practically scared the life out of me!" She said and he grimaced."I'm sorry""You're sorry? What if it's--""I know what you're thinking, Linnie. I was just very exhausted. It's why I passed out""But-""Please, Linnie. You don't have to worry about me. I'm fine"Adelynn didn't need a soothsayer to tell her that he was lying because she knew the truth. She could see the dark circles under his eyes, the sheer exhaustion in his blue eyes, the bruises on his skin that h

   "I want you to move in with me" Jensen said, a small smile curving his lips. Adelynn smiled, trying not to show how much his statement had thrown her off balance. "Jensen, I don't think that's a good idea" she stated and he frowned."Why not?""I'm still married to Dominic" Adelynn pointed out and Jensen's eyes hardened. "Adelynn, I need to know that you truly want me. Moving in with me shouldn't be a big deal" he said and a lump lodged itself in Adelynn's throat. "Jensen, you have to understand that I can't do what you're asking of me, yet. But, we're certainly going to be together" she said and his gaze softened. He gently gave her hand a little squeeze. While they both walked out of the restaurant, Jensen suddenly pulled her into his arms and pressed a kiss to her lips. Adelynn forced out a smile, hoping that he wouldn't notice how hard she was trying to make things look real. He walked her to her car and watched her as she got in.

        "I heard that you're married now. You seem to have changed a lot. But, since you're here to see me, I don't think you have changed so much" Blake, Dominic's companion said as he took a drag of his cigarette. Dominic shrugged."Desperate times call for desperate measures. I want you to look into someone for me" Blake stroked his beard, lazily. "Who has been getting on your nerves?" He asked."His name is Jensen Jefferson""Right. I have heard about the bastard. He has crossed paths with me a few times. The brat thinks he can do anything he wants.       "What?" Jensen rasped, his eyes wide. "He's dead. He died three months ago. He was terribly ill and there was nothing I could do to make him feel better. It didn't help that you abandoned us. How could you just forget us like that?" Tallie sobbed, her eyes red rimmed. Jensen swallowed hard, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. There was grief and bitterness in his eyes. But, this was only because he'd lost his son. He felt nothing but hatred towards Tallie. She had ruined his chance to be with Adelynn. Because of her, he was sure that Adelynn wouldn't want to have anything to do with him.     He'd been so close to having her all to himself. The truth remained that he wasn't going to give up just like that. She would become his by hook or crook. "You made a terrible mistake, Natalie" Jensen droned and she stared at him, bewildered.      Seven days had passed since Adelynn's unpleasant encounter with her exboyfriend. She had been anxious and apprehensive, knowing that Jensen was still out there. Within those seven days, Adelynn had been feeling a little ill. At first, she had believed it to be as a result of how stressed she'd been. But, the symptoms were quickly progressing, coupled with the fact that she had missed her monthly cycles for a while now. She didn't want to raise a false alarm yet. But, she had a gut feeling about it. She stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror and splashed cool water on her face. Lying on the sink were the three home pregnancy test she had just urinated on. She couldn't bring herself to see what the results were, yet. She felt very anxious and had to take long, deep breaths to help herself relax.She could hear Dominic making a call. He had been on the phone most of the time as of recent. He was doing everything he could to get more evidence
