Chapter 2: “Friends” The soft melody of the school bell was being played throughout the school. Students were immediately released from classes and the corridors were crowded within seconds. He was making his way down the stairs with a few of his classmates. They were happily smiling and laughing about things, which he did not care about. He left them halfway and used his long legs as an advantage to skip three steps down, reaching the ground floor first. Chapter 4: Uninvited Sleepover It has been two weeks since their last encounter with each other. Nathan and Chris still texted each other from time to time, just like any other best friends would do. Chapter 6: Memories After Chris had finished showering and he wore the clothes that were prepared by Nathan, he went to the dining room. At the same point in time, Nathan was done making their breakfast and he was ready to serve the food. As they sat together and ate breakfast, there was not much chatter going around. Nathan liked to eat quietly and enjoyed his food in peace. Whereas, Chris was a big eater and he loved to stuff his face fully without acknowledging his surroundings. As Nathan glanced at the clock mounted on the wall, his eyes widened and his expression turned pale. He was running late. He immediately devoured the last sandwich into his mouth as he ran around the kitchen to put away the dirty dishes. He then ran towards the front door of his home and put on his socks. All the while Chris was still rampaging on his food and being oblivious to the current situation.
