Nathan was able to detect various kinds of smells and he knew none of them was Alpha. He was really thankful that he did not have to encounter any Alphas on that day, and he would not have to sustain heavy injuries afterwards. As he was about to get up from his seat and have a confrontation with the teenagers, Isaac had kicked his chair back and got up instead.
Nathan saw the grim look on his classmate and he was startled by a deep growl of the Beta, “You’re not welcomed here. Please, leave.”
Isaac was a calm and collected young man. He had never lost his composure before. Seeing him in a different light, made Nathan feel uneasy. He heard low growls emitted from the opposite side. Chapter 12: Hierarchy, Statuses & Omega The bossy nurse named Amanda, whom Chris found out from his mother, had long walked out of the nursery with her head hung low. His mother had openly reprimanded her of her behaviour and attitude, especially with the way she was treating Chris. Other than that, she was being held accountable for disrupting the peace and being irresponsible for not supervising a toddler. Everyone on the scene was shortly dismissed and the room was filled with peace again. “Charlie, are you ready?” Chris’ mother, Anna Kiz Lukeman, asked gently as she prepared the needle. The toddler named Charlie nodded his head slowly before holding onto Chris’ left hand tightly as he bravely embraced himself for the needle. Chris patted the toddler’s head softly, “It’ll be okay, Charl. You won’t feel a thing.”

Chapter 13: I Have To Win Taking the bus back to Nathan's place was not a peaceful ride. It was too crowded and the passengers barely left any space for Chris to breathe in. He could literally smell everyone's mixed scents of sweats and colognes from miles away. Unfortunately for him, as much as he wanted to block it off, they kept invading his nose. This was one of the perks of an Alpha. Chris was annoyed and he let out a low growl, letting them know that he needed his space and he did not wish to smell any of them at all.
