Chapter 91: Anticipation

Meredith woke up the next morning and blinked a few times before sitting up. As usual, Brayden was gone. He most likely was working out. Meredith yawned then pulled back the covers to get up and noticed that she was wearing Brayden’s shorts and t-shirt.She stared at her sleep attire in confusion. She would have never worn that to bed. Well, maybe the t-shirt. Meredith liked the soft cool feeling of the sheets against her skin and wouldn’t have worn Brayden’s oversized shorts to bed.As she thought more about it she didn’t remember going to bed. She remembered her long dress up session. Brayden drove them home afterwards and Meredith could recall him parking the car in the garage and they waited shortly for the elevator.Meredith thought about it further and for the life of her she couldn&rsq

Chapter 92: Rocky Start

Meredith was in the back seat alone as Sean drove her to the doctor’s office. She wasn’t sure what kind of doctor it was. She didn’t really know the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist or even if a therapist was different. Then there were counselors and life mentors and all kinds of different names. Meredith did understand client privileges and confidentiality was one of them. She knew that Brayden was particularly excited about that benefit. What she really wanted to talk to the therapist, doctor, whatever was the obvious attraction she had to Brayden and vice versa. She was hoping the doctor could help her figure something out. A way that wouldn’t break her heart but also wouldn’t make her feel like a little kid locked in a candy store every night and told not to touch anything. While Brayden di

Chapter 93: Iceberg

“I’d compare it to the iceberg that sunk the titanic.” Meredith mumbled. She definitely didn’t see her and Brayden’s relationship as rocky but titanic level trouble just floating in the water waiting to since her boat of a heart.“The idea of no bills for five years and that he threw in annual vacations at no expense spared it just seemed like it could be a great way to go. All I had to do was pretend to be married to a super hot guy. Possibly the hottest guy ever created. Also he threatened to blacklist my career if I didn’t. Hot or not, he was not a prince charming. His father changed the terms to extend not only beyond five years but the terms were put into his will as well. Five years became life and not only was my career blacklisted but Brayden dug up info on my parents that they were losing everything due to a gambling addiction.I had planned to turn it down and may things work out even without my career but with

Chapter 94: Eve

Meredith woke up early and decided to go to the gym. The shrink had suggested some kind of frequent outlet to keep Meredith grounded. She had been pretty into water sports until her break up with Chad and since then she hadn’t done much of anything except mope. If moping was a sport then she would have been an olympic athlete. She had never been to the gym. Brayden was gone either in the gym or running. She wasn’t sure where so she asked the front desk guy in the lobby of her condo building. The desk clerk helped her and told her where it was located and how to get in. Meredith found it with no problem and entered the gym for the first time. There was no one in the gym. She found that odd in such a large building but it was Christmas Eve so it wasn’t entirely unusual. Meredith started up the treadmill as she set

(^V^) **“Boys,” Brayden’s Father greeted both Clinton and Brayden from behind Meredith to the right towards the stairs. She turned to see a man that looked to be maybe early forties, which Meredith knew couldn’t be true because it would make him a ten year old father. If Brayden and his brothers were Davids then their father was the god that Michelangelo had crafted them after. Meredith could only hope that Brayden looked anything like his father as he aged. He wore a Tuxedo with dark green satin notch lapel

Chapter 97: Changes

Meredith woke up on Christmas morning and didn't look to see Brayden’s empty side of the bed. It was rare if she ever woke up before him. She wasn’t sure if she ever had, actually. There was that one time she woke up very early to find Brayden snuggled up close to her naked body. But even then she wasn’t really sure that she had woken up before him or if he just didn’t want to get out of bed. Meredith walked as though she had an important meeting to closet and with a determined yet calm expression she grabbed something from her shoe shelves and then she made her way smoothly and quickly to her shared dresser.  Undressing right in front of it she opened the drawers and pulled out a pair of thin black Under Armour panties that stretched flat against her hips with a very comfortable stretch. She wondered to herself why she didn’t wear these everyday.

Chapter 98: Where's My Wife

Brayden lounged on the sofa that extended in front of him like a chaise. He had a cup of cocoa next to him on his right sitting on a glass side table with his phone. He wore a pair of navy silk cotton Lora Piana sweatpants with a drawstring. He wore a matching hoodie that was unzipped, exposing his black Tom Ford t-shirt. He had a pair of comfy simple black ankle socks on as his ankles were crossed and he was slightly slouched against a pillow. He had a book in his lap, reading glasses poised on his nose, and a pair of black suede house slippers on the floor in front and slightly to the left of him. Meredith sat on the sofa at the other end with her legs folded under her and a warm mug of cocoa resting against her lips as she took little micro sips of the delicious hot mixture. She had on a cropped cut off lilac crewneck sweatshirt with a paint splatter design and cutoff look with stretch black skinny jea

Chapter 99: Mrs. Brayden Charles Maxwell

Meredith woke up the last week of the year and wanted to immediately get out of bed and head to the gym. But Brayden had told her not to and he was right. She needed to make sure she rested her body after such intense workouts. She hadn't worked out in a long time. She had only ever done so as a hobby, not for health reasons. She had a naturally high metabolism and all the food that she loved to eat never stuck around for long. She was the same weight give or take five pounds since her senior year in highschool. Her friends had always been jealous of her ability to eat and not gain any weight, but Meredith found it annoying. Even though she was constantly reminded that she had curves in all the right places she had personally thought that she was too thin. She didn't want to add to her troubles by increasing her already high metabolism with exercise. She did take on some sports related to water. Such as her day kayaking with Brayden. She could Kayak all da
