Selene             After I had my family settled into Lucas’s home, I headed to the other side of town. My mother had insisted on going with, unwilling to let me out of her sight unless she absolutely had to. Lucas             I woke to the sound of the alarm blaring, Selene curled into my side. I had managed to convince her to stay the night, both of us in need of the other. Lucas             I rolled over to find my mate had gone. Her side of the bed was cool, though her scent still lingered. A glance at the clock on the nightstand told me she must have left before dawn for training without waking me. I pulled myself from the bed, the sounds of children racing through the halls greeting me as I stretched out my stiff muscles.            I chuckled to myself as I heard Abigail scold the girls about waking me, before pulling on a t-shirt to make my way out of my room.
