Training the Body and Energy Flow Part One

Taking off the gaming helmet, Wang Xu was greeted to the usual sight of his room's ceiling after logging out of Immortal Era. Reaching around for his phone, Wang Xu brought it up above his face and turned on the screen. Squinting his eyes slightly, Wang Xu noticed that it was now a quarter past two in the morning. Wang Xu found this weird as he remembered spending quite a bit of time gaming and the hours he spent online don't match up. Stretching his limbs a bit, Wang Xu got out of bed and went to the living room, where he turned on his laptop. That time difference was bugging him and he had to get to the bottom of it before he decided to log back in. After spending a few minutes searching the official website and the forums, Wang Xu finally got to know what the reason for the time difference that he felt was. It seems that with the end of the server-wide Exp buff event that ended two days ago, the company behind Immortal Era decided to implement a time dilation

Training the Body and Energy Flow Part Two

The training center that Wang Xu was currently in has been in the neighborhood for a few years now. It went by the name 'Jade Dragon Training Center' and it was the work of a retired military officer by the name of Yang Jin Wan. Being an old man now, running the training center by himself wasn't ideal for his health, so he employed a few younger persons as trainers, most of them being the grandkids of his former comrades in arms. With so many young men and women now responsible for running the training center for Senior Yang, each with their own personalities and ideas, there would naturally be a bit of competition taking place between them. Senior Yang was naturally aware of this but allowed it, only on the condition that they keep normal civilians out of it. One of the methods in which these young men and women use to compete is with the various weights. At first, it was just a competition for who could lift more and last longer. Eventuall

Time To Finish Things

It was roughly three in the afternoon when Wang Xu returned to his apartment. He had spent over an hour enjoying his lunch, packing away quite a bit, before he took a light walk around the neighborhood as he waited for the food to digest. To his credit, with the amount of weight training and jogging that he did that day, along with the somewhat dangerous practice of absorbing solar energy rays in the morning, he needed to eat at least that much to regain some nutrients in his body. Now in his apartment, Wang Xu was sitting on the floor in his living room in a meditative position, similar to what he does in-game. While doing this, Wang Xu was carefully controlling the energy flow in his body to direct the newly obtained nutrients to various locations. Although he couldn't direct all the nutrients where he wanted them to go, just being able to direct a portion of it was enough for him at the moment. After doing this for roughly fifteen minutes

The Fight's Conclusion

After walking for over twenty minutes, both Kirou and Bladesmith's clone was now standing in a relatively open area. Kirou took in the surrounding area while the clone just stared at him with mirth in its eyes. Eventually, Kirou focused his eyes back on the clone before him radiating a slightly weaker but still potent beastlike aura like the original Bladesmith. Both stared at each other for a few seconds before the clone spoke up, "You better come at me with your best and with the intent to kill. Otherwise, you'll be in for a world of pain and suffer." The clone equipped a pair of beast-like claws, complementing the natural pair that it already has. Hearing those words prompted Kirou to chuckle as he faced the clone standing a few feet away from him. This caused the clone to narrow its eyes slightly as it stared at Kirou. Seeing this, Kirou made a deliberate show of putting on his wired gloves as he spoke, "It's quite funny for you to say t

Quest Complete, Late To The Party

Staring at the horrified expression of the clone standing before him, a weak smile formed on Kirou's face as he released a sigh. His final ace had secured him the win in this BS boxing match. Allowing his body to relax, albeit slightly, Kirou spoke up underneath his breath, "With this, I've secured my class advancement and can move on to my other projects now." Along with Kirou's words and him relaxing his body, another change took place in the clearing. His usually invisible wires started becoming visible bit by bit. This went on for roughly thirty seconds before what Bladesmith's clone could assume to be all of them finally being visible. The sight.... wasn't easy for anyone with a weak stomach to look at. Each thread was extremely thin, so seeing enough to completely restrict all of the clone's movements, contain the surrounding area, and further secure the first two sets in that order, how could the clone not be horrified. In fact, it ha

How the Party got Started

To understand the events that led up to Mistaken Fox teaming up with the two elf women against a group of hostile players, the events of the hour preceding Kirou's arrival must first be brought to light. *******Flashback******* Both Reya and Navi had just logged back in after taking a few moments offline to take care of their respective needs. Now that they were done with those and the time of the appointment was upon them, both logged in and decided to meet up before making their way towards the entrance of SC Pier City together. Unfortunately for them, trouble struck when they least expected it. After meeting up in some random, nameless forest, both elven women had started making their way to SC Pier City when they ran into an elite hunting squad. While this in and of itself wasn't really an issue, that was only when you don't consider the fact that both Reya and Navi were members of the <Sanming Sect> while the

Facing Davy Jones

When everyone heard Kirou's words, they were shocked. So shocked, in fact, that all sounds in the immediate area instantly vanished. Along with this, they all had incredulous looks on their faces while staring at Kirou. On one hand, there was the leader of this crazy hunting squad of the Phantom Thieves Guild challenging a random player. While on the other, the player challenged was asking about whether it would be a one on one or a group battle. It was completely understandable why these random players would be shocked. While members of the Dutchman squad had various types of angry faces at the moment, Davy Jones himself wore a deep frown while contemplating. Although he wasn't confident in taking on Kirou in a one on one fight, especially if that vague feeling he got earlier was anything to go by, he definitely couldn't allow a group battle. Winning a group battle of twenty versus four, although it would preserve his squad's prestige, wouldn't be much of a glo

A Threat? At the Phantom Palace

The crowd was admittedly surprised to have looked away for a moment, only to turn back and see that the duel that they were so intent on seeing had already come to an end. While many were angry at the person that caused the noise that distracted them, the rest were dejected over the fact that they missed such an amazing fight. As for the teams behind both parties involved in the duel, one set had ugly expressions while the other was all smiles. With the duel now over after the forceful intervention from the system, both parties stood up straight as they stared at each other. On one hand, there was Kirou with his signature expression and on the other, Davy Jones was looking quite dejected. He honestly never expected for the duel to have ended in such a manner, with him losing to a single attack that proc'd a very high critical figure, even under the limitations of the duel mode. Davy Jones could tell that if they were in a deathmatch as opposed to the sparring mo

Future Plans

When Navi returned to the underground cave with Reya, the table was set up for three people, with two cups of tea prepared for them to partake in while Kirou continued to stare at the lake. The two silently approached the table and took a seat before their respective cups. Without even turning around, Kirou opened up his menu and forwarded the video he received from his informant to both girls, slowly enjoying his tea in the process. A few seconds later, both girls received the video and tacitly agreed to watch it in silence. Like that, the girls sat there in silence as they watched the recording. At some point, Kirou had ceased his viewing of the underground lake and was now staring at both women, gauging their reactions, both conscious and subconscious on their part, as they watched the video. By the time both girls had finished watching the video, a gloomy expression was all that Kirou could see on their faces. He nodded slightly at this

Work Begins, A Pleasant Surprise

Instead of clearing up their thoughts, Kirou's words only drove the group into further confusion. Seeing this reaction, Kirou had no choice but to explain his plans to them thoroughly. "This entire area, from the cliff over there to roughly five meters deep into the treeline next to us is considered my private property. And this doesn't mean just the surface here or the underground cavern either, but everything in between as well. With that thought in mind, I want you guys to secure the first layer below us first before we truly get started on developing above ground. The reason for this stems from the fact that I don't plan on making a large settlement above ground where we'll have to constantly cut down the forest, which would come back to bite us in the form of a monster stampede. If something like that happens here, we'd be up sh*t creek without a paddle to save us, since this area is a literal cliff." As Kirou spoke, he took out a rando
