To understand the events that led up to Mistaken Fox teaming up with the two elf women against a group of hostile players, the events of the hour preceding Kirou's arrival must first be brought to light.
*******Flashback*******
Both Reya and Navi had just logged back in after taking a few moments offline to take care of their respective needs. Now that they were done with those and the time of the appointment was upon them, both logged in and decided to meet up before making their way towards the entrance of SC Pier City together. Unfortunately for them, trouble struck when they least expected it.
After meeting up in some random, nameless forest, both elven women had started making their way to SC Pier City when they ran into an elite hunting squad. While this in and of itself wasn't really an issue, that was only when you don't consider the fact that both Reya and Navi were members of the <Sanming Sect> while the
When everyone heard Kirou's words, they were shocked. So shocked, in fact, that all sounds in the immediate area instantly vanished. Along with this, they all had incredulous looks on their faces while staring at Kirou. On one hand, there was the leader of this crazy hunting squad of the Phantom Thieves Guild challenging a random player. While on the other, the player challenged was asking about whether it would be a one on one or a group battle. It was completely understandable why these random players would be shocked. While members of the Dutchman squad had various types of angry faces at the moment, Davy Jones himself wore a deep frown while contemplating. Although he wasn't confident in taking on Kirou in a one on one fight, especially if that vague feeling he got earlier was anything to go by, he definitely couldn't allow a group battle. Winning a group battle of twenty versus four, although it would preserve his squad's prestige, wouldn't be much of a glo
The crowd was admittedly surprised to have looked away for a moment, only to turn back and see that the duel that they were so intent on seeing had already come to an end. While many were angry at the person that caused the noise that distracted them, the rest were dejected over the fact that they missed such an amazing fight. As for the teams behind both parties involved in the duel, one set had ugly expressions while the other was all smiles. With the duel now over after the forceful intervention from the system, both parties stood up straight as they stared at each other. On one hand, there was Kirou with his signature expression and on the other, Davy Jones was looking quite dejected. He honestly never expected for the duel to have ended in such a manner, with him losing to a single attack that proc'd a very high critical figure, even under the limitations of the duel mode. Davy Jones could tell that if they were in a deathmatch as opposed to the sparring mo
When Navi returned to the underground cave with Reya, the table was set up for three people, with two cups of tea prepared for them to partake in while Kirou continued to stare at the lake. The two silently approached the table and took a seat before their respective cups.Without even turning around, Kirou opened up his menu and forwarded the video he received from his informant to both girls, slowly enjoying his tea in the process. A few seconds later, both girls received the video and tacitly agreed to watch it in silence. Like that, the girls sat there in silence as they watched the recording. At some point, Kirou had ceased his viewing of the underground lake and was now staring at both women, gauging their reactions, both conscious and subconscious on their part, as they watched the video. By the time both girls had finished watching the video, a gloomy expression was all that Kirou could see on their faces. He nodded slightly at this
Instead of clearing up their thoughts, Kirou's words only drove the group into further confusion. Seeing this reaction, Kirou had no choice but to explain his plans to them thoroughly."This entire area, from the cliff over there to roughly five meters deep into the treeline next to us is considered my private property. And this doesn't mean just the surface here or the underground cavern either, but everything in between as well. With that thought in mind, I want you guys to secure the first layer below us first before we truly get started on developing above ground. The reason for this stems from the fact that I don't plan on making a large settlement above ground where we'll have to constantly cut down the forest, which would come back to bite us in the form of a monster stampede. If something like that happens here, we'd be up sh*t creek without a paddle to save us, since this area is a literal cliff."As Kirou spoke, he took out a rando
[Skill Generated: Aura Strike]Skill: Aura StrikeSkill Level: 1/10Rank: C (SSS)Cost: 5% and up HP/MP/EPSkill Creator/Generator: KirouDescription: A skill created by player [Kirou]. This skill allows its user to focus their energy on a body part or weapon and release the built-up energy in a concentrated blast on a single point. The damage ranges from anywhere between 100% - 3000%, based on the amount of energy and the number of energy sources used (health, mana, and energy). This skill comes with the downside of the energy used to activate this skill will take five times as long to regenerate naturally and items used for its recovery will only be one-fifth as effective, so caution is HIGHLY advised when choosing the power source of this skill. Also, should the user sacrifice all three energy types in activating this skill, the user will be left with just 1 point across all power sources.Looking over the skill curre
While Kirou(?) was currently making his way back to the surface, Mistaken Fox's Stone Axe Minotaur and Bandit Warrior Jackson's squad have made quite a dent into the rock before them. Right now, the entire group has managed to clear roughly twelve meters of space within just a few hours of work. In fact, the group would have gotten much further in their excavation if they didn't have to clear out the excess rock and sand in their way.It was around this time that the squad members on the surface finally manage to put together a simple pully and lever system to aid with the removal of the excess rock and sand. Because of this, a few of the diggers put down their pickaxes and grabbed shovels as they started clearing away the debris. With the debris being cleared away from the area, even with the reduced number of diggers, the excavation sped up once more, this time in a much more efficient manner. This is what Kirou(?) came to witness when he
As soon as Kirou logged in, he realized that he was back in the hut created by his clones. Before he could even get off of the bed, he noticed that he had a few unread messages from the system. This surprised Kirou as he didn't recall seeing those messages before he logged out earlier. Since he had the time, Kirou decided to check out the messages that he received.[System: Due to your repeated actions of trying to manipulate your mental energy, this action has been recognized by the 'System' and a skill has been generated.][Generating skill.....][Skill Generated: Shadow Clone: Mind Transfer]Skill: Shadow Clone: Mind TransferSkill Level: 1/5Rank: C (A)Cost: 50MP or 50EPSkill Creator/Generator: KirouDescription: This skill was accidentally created by Player [Kirou] while he was trying to locate and send a message to his distant shadow clones. Having spoken up to this point, the trio was pretty much informed on Kirou's proposal and now all that was left was for them to think it over on their own. Kirou wasn't in a rush to receive their answers so he gave them some time to think it over. After everyone enjoyed another cup of tea, Kirou and the rest decided to end their break and started heading back to the surface. The girls had to go back to refining medicine and finding herbs to do so. As for the guys, Mistaken Fox had to go back and join his Stone Axe Minotaur in digging while Kirou had a construction project of his own.The five players took a little over ten minutes to get back to the surface. By the time they got to the top, the group was greeted by the sight of all the NPCs resting. It looked like the former bandits were taking rests in shifts, giving those still digging more space to work and to ensure that the digging never truly stopped for too long.
It's been a few days since Kirou returned to the with his new residents. During this time, both old and new residents worked hard to turn the shallow and empty area into a proper village. With the initial houses Kirou had built as a base and starting area, the village extended a bit into the forest, with the goal being to recover land for both farming and extending the village even further in the future. Unsurprisingly, all residents decided to keep living above ground, leaving the passage that led to the pier being the only path they trod. In contrast, the remaining floors were left for Kirou's purposes after all the excavation work was complete. Speaking of the excavation work, Kirou was given a surprise earlier that day when he explored the two floors situated above the pier and below the village on the surface. It seems that during the time that he was away from the village and holed up in the pier area after returning, his residents had come together to fully ex
The Garuda player and his squad from the guild have finally returned to the Seaside Village. Unlike the trip to the pirate hideout that took 5 hours, the return trip only needed half that time. The Garuda player mainly returned here instead of continuing his hunt or returning to his guild as he was curious to see the results of that quest he never got the chance to finish. He was also interested in seeing if he would be able to meet that strange Lycan player he had initially pursued. Unfortunately, his second wish would go unanswered for quite a time. Upon entering the location of the Seaside Village, what greeted the Garuda player and his squad was essentially a ghost town. The village lacked any sign of life and it looked like its inhabitants were in quite the rush to leave. At this point, one squad member, a Lycan, spoke up, "Looks like these guys wasted no time in making themselves scarce as if wanting to avoid us like the plague. What say you now, Boss?" The G
Returning to the moment the Garuda player and his squad had entered the Drarven Village turned pirate camp, Kirou and the former captives have now arrived at the shores of the Seaside Village. He had already guessed what had happened when he found the Village Head's son as one of the captives on the pirate ship, but seeing the current state of the Seaside Village forced a deep sigh out of Kirou's mouth. Even then, he still had a job to finish, so he shook his mind free of their random thoughts and focused on what was ahead of him. Seeing the pirate ships coming close, the remainder of the village was once again arming themselves for combat. Sadly, there were a lot fewer able-bodied persons capable of fighting this time, so morale was at its absolute worst for the villagers. Even the Village Head, the fiercest fighter in the village in the previous bout, was now struggling to raise his weapon in the face of the returning pirate crew. From a glance, it was quite apparent to these vill
Kirou was currently making his way back to the Seaside Village via the ships used by the pirates. He needed a secure way to transport all the women and children that were captured back to the village without injury and in a timely manner, and .... it's not like the previous owners had much use for these ships anymore. As for controlling and navigating the ships themselves, Kirou had no part in that as he lacked the necessary experience and skill needed to do so. Instead, this job was taken over by the captured women that were previously held captive in the resting area of the camp by those pirates. Apparently, they were part of a crew of sailors that got captured at sea. Their ship had recently gone through a bad storm and most of the crew got injured in the process. Those that survived the storm thought that things would be fine when another ship passed by in their time of need. Sadly, their hopes were dashed as this ship was filled with pirates. When the pirates found and boarded
While all that was going down back at the Seaside Village, Kirou was already making his moves in the enemy stronghold. It's now been fifteen minutes since Kirou initiated his plan. Stealth and subterfuge were the game's name, and Kirou had to make severe commitments to follow through on his plans. He started out by summoning two clones, which he then sent to specific places to hide until he gave the signal. Following this, he rushed back to the cave where the kids were being kept captive. Unlike his prior visit where most of his was spent searching for their location, this time he would be able to deal with them without as much trouble. That said, he remained hidden in a dark spot while watching the actions of the captors and their captives. As he did this, he silently retrieved an item from his inventory. It was a small canister-like object that almost anyone would recognize if they saw it. Besides the main body in this cave, his clones pulled out similar objects, a few of whic
After leaving the village, Kirou has been heading northwest for roughly two hours. During this trip, he made multiple adjustments to his heading after using his skill to investigate his surroundings. The downside of this was that he had to chug down multiple potions to replenish his quickly spent [MP] after each trip. It was at this time that Kirou slowed and silenced his steps. This is because the stronghold for those human traffickers was within his sights. Having stopped behind a tree, Kirou calmed his breathing and steadied his heart rate. After doing so, he peered from behind the tree, gazing at his targets going about their business in the large base. The base itself was an abandoned seaside village that seemed to have been occupied initially by dwarfs. Along with a few lodging houses, there were a few paths dug into the hill directly behind the houses. The houses themselves were spread out and made in a style similar to inns, but the size of the windows
A few weeks have passed since Kirou had the discussion with both Cain and Jackson by the underground lake. Unlike the empty and somewhat desolate space that it was before, the underground lake was starting to look like a proper workspace for ships and people alike. More buildings had been constructed on the land area, with one side set up to properly reflect a shipyard and the other to reflect an underground harbor for ships. As for the water, multiple ports had been erected for both ship and civilian use. Hell, a few small boats were already making use of the new docking facilities that were recently created. As for how this happened, Kirou could only say that he got extremely lucky with his excursions outside the <Phantom Palace>. *******Flashback******* *Three days after the discussion with Jackson and Cain* Kirou was currently farming mining resources points.
It's been a few hours since Kirou and his group, along with the recent additions, returned to the <Phantom Palace>. Kirou only left some instructions with the girls and Mistaken Fox for the former bandits while he invited both Jackson and Cain to follow him to the underground pier. The trio was currently sitting around a small table, Kirou drinking some tea while both Jackson and Cain stared at him in confusion. This went on for a few minutes before Jackson spoke up. "Young Master, would you mind explaining why you've brought both of us down here?" Cain maintained his silence, but he gave a slight nod in agreement to Jackson's words. Kirou only glanced at the duo for a few moments before turning his eyes to the waters of his underground port. As soon as he finished his tea, Kirou spoke, "I'll be leaving for the <Beast Continent> within the next two weeks." T
Kirou and Jackson took a few minutes to work out the finer details of the <Blood Oath> that they wanted Cain to make. During this time, Cain genuinely contemplated committing suicide multiple times. The reason behind this was that neither Kirou nor Jackson bothered to lower their voices during their discussion, allowing Cain to hear all of their depraved ideas to include in the oath. The thought of escaping entered Cain's mind multiple times, only to be dismissed almost immediately. Not counting the fact that he was injured at the moment, even if he wasn't, he still had to contend with the creatures surrounding him. And even if he could somehow get through those creatures, there was still a large group he had to fight through, not to mention both Kirou and Jackson. With those thoughts in mind, Cain resigned himself to the whims of the two bastards holding him captive. Both Kirou and Jackson could see that Cai
