Pouting Loli, Almost Done

After spending a few hours checking out her giant main body for any possible errors, a certain loli dark elf finally managed to satisfy her paranoia and had now decided to return to her terminal (the globe). Upon sitting down in the chair next to it and tapping on the terminal, as if it was routine, the loli narrowed her search into finding a certain werewolf. At first, when the terminal started playing his footage for the last few hours, the loli released a sigh of relief as the werewolf hadn't done anything crazy while she was busy. She kept watching for a few minutes more until she finally decided that it should have been safe. Just as she was about to swap the terminal's display to somewhere else, the scene of Kirou's attack on that one bull using his wires to form a blade-like weapon grabbed her attention. She herself didn't know why but seeing that action prompted an alarm bell to go off within her mind. Instead of switching displays,

First: A Pitfall Trap

A few kilometers away from where Kirou was fighting the group of bandits, his two clones were currently tailing the one archer that had managed to escape. Although the archer couldn't see anyone chasing him, he kept making various odd twists and turns throughout his journey in an attempt to throw off whoever or whatever it was that was giving it the feeling of being watched. As for the clones, they made sure to track the archer from a distance without giving their positions away to the fleeing archer. After shaking off his feeling of paranoia, the archer eventually stopped making these odd turns and traveled to an area with dense foliage. The clones slowed down their approach and took to the very top of the trees in the surroundings to get a better view of the area covered in dense foliage from above. From their line of sight, both could see that behind the wall of foliage hid a small village of sorts. This hidden village was much smaller in

Second: Wire Bindings, A Trade for Lives

Hearing those words prompted the warrior to survey his surroundings, hoping to catch even a fleeting image of the one speaking. Alas, the level 30 bandit warrior never saw hide nor hair of Kirou as he heard, "You can look around all you want, you won't be able to find me through my voice alone." This caused the bandit warrior to narrow his eyes slightly before shouting towards the forest, "It's fine that you are targeting us since we are bandits, but we don't even know who you are so why not even the playing field a bit, mysterious stranger." While the bandit warrior said this, he made eye contact with a few of the able-bodied bandits around him, hinting for them to keep their eyes and ears peeled. A moment of silence followed the bandit warrior's words before they heard Kirou's words once more, "Now this is curious. I would have thought that the archer who informed you of me defeating that other party from earlier would immediately recogniz

Familiar Feeling, Hard Truths

Just as the ten-minute deadline was almost up, the archer had managed to return to the clearing where the original ambush had taken place. Upon entering the clearing, the archer noticed the figure of a werewolf sitting in the center of the clearing, meditating. Just as the archer was about to say something, however, the werewolf opened his eyes and stared at the archer with somewhat cold eyes. This resulted in the archer flinching but the werewolf paid this no mind as he stood up and ran through a series of stretches. While the archer finally managed to settle his mind, the werewolf spoke up, "Had you arrived twenty seconds later, you probably would have met a slow and painful death, followed by that village of yours being wiped out shortly. You shouldn't wait until the last minute before showing up when you have a deadline, as you never know what can be waiting for you." As if to show how serious the situation was, the werewolf channeled a

Being Abandoned

Kirou and the bandit archer had just returned to the original clearing when Kirou decided to put his scheme into motion. He started by saying his farewells, "Now that I've verified the information given to me, your presence is no longer required." With those words said, Kirou turned around and started walking away with a steady gait, all under the eyes of the wary bandit archer. Just as Kirou was about to vanish behind the treeline, he said something under his breath that was loud enough for the bandit archer to hear from where he stood, "It's a shame that your class is that of an archer. With your patience and your keen eye for observation, you would have been a terror against other players as a thief. What a pity." Following Kirou's words, he disappeared beyond the treeline, leaving only the bandit archer present within the clearing. Instead of leaving as he had intended to a few moments earlier, the bandit archer was currently rooted in p

Hunt Complete

Ever since Jackson and his men started preparing their gear to head out, he could feel a few eyes following his every move. Because he was a bandit, being on the receiving end of such a thing bothered him quite a bit, especially since he hadn't even left the borders of the hidden village just yet. Sensing that this wasn't gonna be just a simple routine check, he secretly informed his men to walk with their best gear hidden from view. As for Jackson himself, he could tell that he was the main target of observation. With how unique his best weapon was, he couldn't take it with him without anyone noticing so he decided to walk with his second best. That said, he wasn't about to leave his best weapon behind with the current vibe he's feeling from the village so he did something to his weapon before leaving his house. Unless he undid it himself, whoever tries to take his weapon without his knowledge will be in for quite the surprise. A few minute

Explanation, Return to the Clearing

Kirou looked at the now identified female archer with a casual smile on his face. instead of directly answering her question, he told her something else, "Why don't we take a trip back to that clearing for now. After seeing how quickly that bandit leader scrambled to chase after me after I dealt with the ambush party, I'm sure he's probably there waiting for you at the moment. Especially since you never stopped by the village to inform him you were gonna be later or leave him some kind of message." After saying those words, Kirou took to the treetops and started making his way towards the aforementioned clearing. The female archer narrowed her eyes slightly at his last sentence before following his trail along the ground. Since she no longer needed to track him and she had to move fast, traveling along the ground was the smarter choice for her. After a few moments of traveling like this, the female archer finally caught up who was taking his

<A Bandit's Revenge>

Upon hearing the voice, both Kirou and the bandit archer turned to face its source, only to be greeted to the sight of Bandit Warrior Jack and his squad, all with a mix of emotions on their faces. Kirou could tell that something must have happened since he could see the strange expressions on their faces but it wasn't his place to ask about it. That said, he was curious so he decided to stay back and listen to the conversation that was about to take place. The female archer went up to Jackson and spoke, "Boss, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you and the rest of the squad be waiting for my return back to the village? And why do you guys seem so down?" Bandit Warrior Jackson had a wry smile on his face as he looked back between the female archer before him and Kirou who was now sitting under a tree in a meditative state. Although this was a private matter and he didn't want to discuss this with Kirou around, he also knew that they no longer

Intel Obtained, Lining Pockets

After roughly five minutes of running through the forest, Kirou finally made it to the entrance of the now ruined village. The sight of the charred remains of the village left a bad taste in Kirou's mouth but he didn't have enough time to dwell on it at the moment. Kirou took a tour around the village, searching for any possible clues that could aid him in his task. he kept at this for roughly twenty minutes, searching every nook and cranny of the village but the results were negative. Following this, Kirou gave the destroyed houses another search, this time looking for an item that may have possibly survived the fire. Whether it was a coincidence or not, the first house that Kirou searched just so happened to have belonged to Bandit Warrior Jackson. As Kirou searched the house from top to bottom, he came across a strange material hidden within the ashes of what he assumed was a weapon case. Kirou walked outside of the house and held up the
