The plans were set for the addition behind the servant's quarters. Work began and was moving along swiftly. Rick wanted it finished as fast as possible, at least by the middle of summer, so the employees could enjoy it this year, rather than having to wait til next year. Larry was also finishing the vault room inside the villa. He was in and out so much now, that some thought that he was taking up residence. Old Wilson was also busy at this time. The first meeting of the new board was coming up, and he was planning out the agenda for the gathering. The Oasis was going to have it's first guests soon. Directors would be coming from all over the world for this meeting, and Rick wanted to make a good impression on everyone. The rooms had all been refreshed, the furniture dusted and polished, the kitchen stocked and menus planned. Chef Matthew was going to be in charge of the catering for the entire week. The mood in the room became tence. The directors were all looking around at each other, trying to guage what each other were thinking. They were all concerned for their own positions now. Rick sat for a few moments to calm himself down before speaking again. Old Wilson spoke up and said "Everyone, please calm yourselves. This matter is now at an end. Mr. Gordon will be replaced shortly. No one is irreplacable. I hope that you understand what our Chairman has said. He has the deciding voice in all matters concerning RBG Group and all of it's departments. Mr. Green changed things up a bit to have more contact with the upper management, and for no other reason. He has not given you voting rights. So, please be clear as to your positions. Mr. Green will not tolerate any bad attitudes among his staff. If you can not abide by these simple ru

Chapter 263

Matthew came in and accepted the offered seat. Rick looked at him and said "I need someone to talk to. Will you allow me to bend your ear for a few minutes?" Matthew was honored to have Rick show such trust in him. He knew that if Rick needed to talk, it was something serious and confidential. He replied "You can talk to me about anything. It will not leave this room." Rick was pleased that Matthew understood the situation, and didn't have to ask for Matthew's silence. He began "There are people in the management of some of my companies that are too arrogant. We just had to fire the Managing Director of the New York office tonight. He was unhappy with the room assigned to him here, and thought that he had a higher status than all the other directors. I have tried to be fair and treat every one equally, but it seems that I'm failing in this regard. I want every one to see that I value them all, and will not place one over the other. I thought that in this way, things would be mo

She refused to leave until she was so exhausted that the doctor ordered her to go home to rest. He was fearful of her heart condition, and didn't want both husband and wife as patients. She left with Alice and Li Fan. As she went out of the door of her husband's room, she turned back and said "I will be back after I get some sleep and a change of clothes after a bath. Now you listen to the doctors and don't make me scold you when I get back." Old Man Thomas looked at his wife as a tear rolled down his ckeek. He wanted to say something, but no words would escape his lips. It was a touching scene for all who were present. Rick had sent the small jet to go pick up Lois, Howard, Heyward and his

Li Fan escorted Rick into his office, where he closed the door before turning back to Rick. "Madame Debbie's family have been fighting over who gets to use the cars in the garage, they have been a little rude to some of the staff and Heyward's wife has tried to get into the vault room on several occasions. She said she wanted to try on some of Madame's jewelry and was really arrogant to the ho
