Chapter 241

Unbeknown to Rick and Debbie, Old Wilson had used his organizational skills to bring these people together. One, to show support for the Greens, and two, for them to volunteer for the testing phase. To that end, Old Wilson had also roped in the doctors and a few nurses to come and start the testing that very night! When the doctors heard about the call, and the number of people that planned to attend, they saw a golden opportunity to start the first phase when the volunteers were all together, but away from the hospital. It would have over whelmed the corridors of the testing lab to have so many people show up at once. So they came to Ting Gap. They set up a mini lab in the house, and started drawing blood samples from everyone there who wished to be considered to be a donor. Rick was the first to have his blood drawn. This lead everyone else to form a line. In the meantime, Debbie went down the line and thanked each one individually. She did not stop until she had spoken to very s

Chapter 242

The next morning found the four potential donors sitting around the table out by the pool. They were all anxious to hear the news. The worst part of all of this was the waiting. They chit chatted about something and nothing while trying to calm their own thoughts. Debbie came out after a while and said as she sat down "I want to thank you all one more time for what you are trying to do for me. No matter who is the best match, you all have shown me great kindness that I will never be able to repay." Just then, Rick's phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and said to the group "This is it folks!" He answered the call with trembling hands and said a simple "Hello?" The doctor greeted Rick, then told him the results. Rick's face fell a little, but soon recovered. He replied to the doctor "Thank you Doctor, I'll inform the others." Everyone was looking at Rick as he hung up the call. They were all on pins and needles to finally have an answer to the question running thr

Chapter 243

Debbie and Rick were driven to the hospital by Li Fan. They were accompanied by Alice and Lois. Everyone else had stayed behind to allow the couple time to settle in at the surgery center of People's Hospital Fing City. The best transplant team that could be found were to perform the surgery the next day. There were two teams who would be working on the pair. One to remove Rick's kidney, and the other to implant it into Debbie after removing her most damaged one. The operations were to take several hours to complete. On average, the donor's surgery lasts about three hours, whereas the recipient has to undergo at least a four hour or more proceedure. The surgerys were to begin at nine o'clock the next morning. Rick and Debbie had insisted that they were to be placed in the same room. The doctors at first rejected their request, but since they were husband and wife , they gave in to Rick's insistance. The pair had passed the night in Debbie's hospital bed, snuggled up togethe

Chapter 244

When the doctors left the ICU, they went to the waiting room. The family had returned to check on Rick and Debbie. The doctors had promised yesterday that they would give the family an update once the couple were awake. They walked into the waiting room to see a group of anxious and worried faces. Rick's doctor said "They are both awake and are feeling better. Mr. Green should be able to go home the day after tomorrow. However, Mrs. Green will need a little more time here. Her condtion is stable, and she has a long recovery ahead of her. But we see no problems at this time. We want to ensure her body's acceptance of the new organ before we let her go home. Now we suggest that only two of you see our patients today, as they are both still very tired. We don't want to wear them out entertaining visitors, now do we?" Happiness, relief and gratefulness was the only words to discribe the looks on the group's faces at this time. They thanked the doctors for all of their hard work. It

Chapter 245

Debbie was finally released from the hospital. She was still very weak, but no longer needed dialysis. This was the best news to all of her family and friends. She would have to take drugs for the rest of her life, but that was a small price to pay to even have a life. As she went into the playroom, her boys came waddling over towards her with their hand up in the air for her to pick them up. Sadly, she was unable to do this per her doctor's orders. All she could do was sit in a rocking chair and have them handed to her to hold, one by one. Aunt Alice was on hand to supervise the children and to make sure that they didn't cause any trouble for Debbie. Rick stood in the doorway and watched as the kids swarmmed their mother. He was smiling ear to ear to see such a sight. He had not been sure a month ago if he would ever see this sight again. After a while, Rick took Debbie by the hand and walked her out to the pool area to relax a bit. Li Fan brought out a pot of tea for them and

Chapter 246

The Port of Durban was the fourth largest port in Africa. It handled both commercial as well as cruise ships. The RBG entourage arrived at the port city in early afternoon. The hotel was nice, but not the level that most of the group were used to. This was necessary for several reasons. Old Wilson did not want to expose Rick and company to unwanted attention that staying in a high end hotel would naturally put on them. Tourists that stayed in those hotels were often targets for the local criminal elements around town. Staying in a nice, but not too nice, a hotel was also acceptable because there were no women this time around. The idea was to get in, and then get out as soon as possible, without drawing too much attention to themselves. Since there was still time left in the work day, they decided to call at the RBG Shipping office first thing after settling in to the hotel. Old Wilson had informed the local office to expect them at anytime. When they arrived at the office, the Man

Chapter 247

General Han's friends had come through for him. They sent over a thousand men to Port Durban to assist him in rescuing the crews of the hijacked ships. To get to the island nation of Madagascar, they took one of the abandoned ships that was moored off shore. Old Wilson had secured it's release after hiring a captain, a navigator and enough crew to safely operate it. It was only about three hundred miles to Toliara, so it would not take long to set up this mission. Once on their way, the men aboard got ready for a vicious fight. Fifty opponents were no match for them , but no one knew if there might be a hidden camp nearby. Therefore, the number of troops required was for a far ranging strategy on the general's part. Rick and Old Wilson were also on board the vessel, to give whatever support that they could. Old Wilson was not able to actually fight, but Rick was a high level martial artist practitioner. His skills would come in handy when and if the fighting got heavy. Even though

Chapter 248

When the troops neared the prison camp, they saw a few men patrolling the perimeter with guns slung across their chests. They were in pairs walking along the outside of the fence, and not paying any attention to the prisoners inside. The general was on high alert to his surroundings, and would never have allowed his men to patrol a camp in this manner. It just proved to the general that these guards were untrained mercenaries who had no idea what they were doing. General Han signaled to his men to surround the camp and wait for his order to attack. The men were like a well oiled machine and swiftly followed his command. When everyone was in place, the general shouted "Now!" It took all of ten minutes to have liberated the prisoners and capture the so called guards. They put up no resistance at all. It was not in their job descriptions to get killed over this matter. Old Wilson and Rick walked over to the general and Rick asked "Can you tell which one of these men is the

Chapter 249

Rick and his group left the camp and headed back to the ship. General Han left a few of his own men to stand guard until this mess was cleared up. The next thing to tackle was the tanker that had been unsuscessfully attacked. It had been detoured to Mombasa port in Kenya. After arriving back in Port Durban, it was decided not to make a report to the South African government just yet. The reasoning was, if a report was made, and then released to the public, it would alert the West family that they had been exposed. That report would have to be made later, after the West's had been dealt with.    The general and Old Wilson cautioned the crews that had been rescued to not talk about thier experiences just yet. They needed time to figure out a plan for dealing with Westhouse World Transport first. The men understood, and promised to keep things under wraps for now. The general decided that the best place to put them, was back on the ships th

Chapter 250

Mr. Hanes issued his directive to the West family. They grumbled, but in the end agreed to the meeting. It was to take place at the bank in Mombasa the next day. Both Robin West and his father, Timothy West would attend. Since both had signed the loan documents it was required of them to show up together. As collateral for the loan, they had mortaged the family villa, the four ships that ran the Suez Canal route, as well as shares in their shipping company. Rick had found that the shares were currently equal to 40% of the total available at public offering. If he could get just 11% more, then he would be the largest shareholder, and thus be in control of the company. Old Wilson sent out purchase orders to try and get the required amount of shares that afternoon. He was successful in acquiring 15%. That meant that the Wests were in for a rude awaking the following day when the bank foreclosed on the loan. At the appointed time, everyone was sitting in the conference room. The We
