Haku put his books in his bag and waited until Teacher Komatsu stars the prayers.“Are you all done, children?” Komatsu asked. He was wearing simple clothes today. Starting from his brown working shoes, dark trousers, plain white shirt with many animal stickers on his front and back… The four-eyed teacher was smiling happily and didn’t seem like he was disturbed at all by the stickers on his top. And he wasn’t. This was a usual act done by him to help the children relieve some stress in the first day of the week.Besides, those were only stickers and could be pulled off easily. So he wasn’t at loss. The children shouted ‘Yes, teacher’, but there were still some of them who were shuffling books inside their bags. But they looked like they’re almost done, so he clapped his hands with a smile. “Well then! Let’s start praying!”He led the prayer. They prayed to the Great Fire Dragon of t

Two days later, in the morning.“Come on Kiyo-chan. Do it again. The flowers can cry seeing your water display.” An elderly woman in orange yukata said calmly.A girl in front of her, probably in her late teen, huffed. Sweats rolling down her face and her training clothes ruffled. “But I’m tired, grandma.”The elderly woman waved her index finger. “No, no, no. It’s only half an hour. Come on, young lady. The Komatsu girls must be strong.”Kiyo, the girl, sighed and rolled her eyes. “But the men are the ones usually out for a hunt. Not the girls.”“And you just want to let the patriarchs take control of this family more than they have? No. I will not have it in my family. By being strong, you can stand up to men and prove them that women can also kick some ass.” The old lady said confidently.Kiyo’s lips twitched downward, unamused. “Don’t men love meek

A couple of days later…A female windlet happily jogged to the village of Letush in the morning. The sun was already up by this time, so it was not early morning. She greeted the villager guarding the gate as she entered and the villager waved back at her like they knew each other. She let her feet drag her among the village’s street. She stopped by the houses to deliver letters to the villagers and to wish them a good day. At one point, she stopped by a house near a well and she took her time to wait as the resident struggled to open the door. When it was finally opened, a girl with amber hair and beautiful green eyes appeared. She was wearing an apron and looking a bit sweaty. “Yes?”The female windlet realized why she took some time to open the door, and she apologized. “Sorry for interrupting your cooking time, miss, but I’m here to deliver some letters!”The girl giggled and opened the door a b

Shoru sniffed the paper in front of her and instantly recoiled. She moved her bottom and took two steps backwards. She then rubbed her nose as if she had just smelled something unpleasant.A giggle was heard beside the pup, and then Mika'w voice is heard, asking, "What's wrong, Shoru-chan? You don't like the smell of glue?"Shoru chuffed and whined, but Mika giggled some more. Whatever Shoru did, it was always adorable.Next to Mika was Jai. This time, Jai did not help Mika sort out the letters, but he was replacing Arata. Since Arata was given a new assignment, someone had to pitch in his seat to help ease his workload. It had only been two days, but Jai was already used to it.The entrance door opened and came in Baji. He looked a bit exhausted, showed by the dark circles under his eyes. But he pulled his shoulder length hair into a short ponytail to make his appearance still look presentable."Jai, help me out sorting this." Baji passed by him a

Jai threw a punch to Haku’s face, but Haku managed to dodge it to the right. The little guy immediately took Jai’s hand and pulled it over his shoulder, and just pulled.Jai frowned as he let the little guy pulled him. “What are you doing?”Haku grunted as he tried to pull Jai, but he stopped when Jai asked that question. “I’m… Trying to pull you over my shoulder and throwing you forward.”Jai patted his back and easily pulled himself off. “No, no. You don’t do that with someone much bigger than you.”Haku turned around to look at him. The little guy looked like he didn’t know what to do. “Uhh… So how do I fight people as big as you?”“To fight people bigger than you, use your agility and wit. Don’t use physical strength, because they will easily overpower you. Your strategy is to wear them down. Make them tired.” Jai suggested.&ldq
