161 - Should be a nice walk

"So where do you want to go?" Oki asked Darrion as they walked side by side in front of the group. Darrion hummed as he looked up. "I think we could separate the group first. I mean, with a group this big, we will attract unwanted attention.""You mean something like that?" Mac gestured to the side. The group stopped and looked to their right where a group of nuns and children were giggling while looking at them. One of the kids, a girl to be exact, stood up. With a flower crown in hand, she jumped over the stone steps in the middle of the river."Ina!" they called her, worried she might slipped her foot on accident. But she didn't fall nor even stopping. She crossed the river and ran towards the participants, particularly towards a young man. The young man knew she was running at him, so he crouched down and opened his arms for her. "Brother Jai!" she greeted excitedly when they hugged.Jai chuckled and picked

162 - Refreshing

This was initally agreed as just a slight stroll. When Darrion suggested that they went out for a stroll, they agreed because  they were quite bored inside the mausoleum and that they needed some fresh air. Although they had gotten out in the previous day. But yesterday was for class, not to enjoy themselves. It was also a perfect timing because today was quite an easy day and they were allowed the rest of the day for themselves. So they tried to enjoy it to the fullest.Jai's group walked until they reached a bridge, which they knew exactly well from their second day of class. They walked while talking to each other, and they shared the story of Teacher Grenner fishing in the river to Ina and Hans. The boy laughed hard at how silly their teacher was while the little girl giggled. Jai had told them that the teacher insisted they eat the dishes that the teacher had caught while the teacher actually didn't."But you thundered the fish. It should be yours isn't it,

163 - More Heat

Jai peeked again from behind the tree, noticing the lizards were getting closer. The beasts were still tens of meters, but if his group stayed still for another two or three minutes, he's not sure whether they can run away or not.He was not trying to exaggerate. Because he remembered his first encounter with these creatures when he was out here with Kefara. They were fast despite their big bodies, and pretty durable. Anyone would need weapons to beat these creatures. And Jai was lucky the other day that he got to stun one of them and ran away.Jai returned behind the tree and asked the kids, "Ready?"Hans and Ina nodded with a smile.Jai smiled. "Great. Don't worry. It's just going to be like a game of tag.""But the ones 'it' are the lizards," Hans said jokingly.Jai chuckled. "Yes. They are the ones 'it'. Alright. We're a go."Jai then gave the signal to the others. The others nodded in silence and commenced with the plan. Ok

164 - The Slip

"JAAAIII!!" He heard the guys calling for him.The thunder elemer was busy landing electric punches towards the lizard that became his opponent. They had been at it ever since they baited them away from each other to better the fight. Either Bara or Jai knew that Oki would help them once he get his breath back, they just have to stall. And this was what Jai was doing too.The lizard screeched loudly and opened its jaw widely towards Jai. But he dodged the bite to the side and jumped back.Hearing the call from his friends, he stepped around the lizard slowly as if assessing it. 'They're calling for me. Are they done? I guess two people are enough to take down this thing. I'll wait for them to come and help me,' Jai thought. Little did he know that they were actually the ones needing help. But Jai was so positive they could beat and had taken down this creature on their side, so he didn't respond anything to their call. He knew that he didn't have to

165 - Cave-in

"JAI!!" Darrion yelled when he saw his friend fell into the cliff. The blonde windlet's expression turned horrid and he screamed loudly."JAAAIIIII!!!!!" the windlet screamed his friend's name. Darrion flew faster and rocketed himself towards the lizard that had stopped on the spot where his friend had just fallen from. "You monster!!" Darrion yelled as he boosted his speed and rammed his body to the lizard's back. The creature wasn't expecting a surprise attack from behind, so it was caught by surprise. The momentum Darrion had built up was also powerful enough for him to push the lizard off the cliff. The lizard screeched as it fell to the smooth rock cliff. Its screech echoing from below as it's big body was rolling and bumping against the sharp and jaggged rocks and boulders meters below.Loud rumble was also heard on the cliff as boulders came rolling down along with the lizards' crashing into it. It seemed that the beast ha

166 - Someone

Jai breathed slowly and steadily as he leaned on the rock wall. His eyes were closed, but they opened up after a few minutes, a sign that he wasn't asleep."I can't sleep with a leg like this," Jai muttered to himself as he looked at his injured leg. He had put his feet forward for it to rest as he had been running. And he could see his dirty parts and slightly torn pants at the end of swollen feet. He had also taken off his shoes after Darrion left to see how big it would get, but he was glad that it was a normal swelling.Since his end of pants were already torn, he decided to rip them until his knees. He then put the ripped off parts inside his shoes. He would be on his barefoot after this as he was very sure the backup would mean some flying. He knew he had fallen quite deep from the steep cliff. He looked up once again to observe the pile of rocks covering up the entrance. There was this long and big jagged rock on the left side of the entrance which form was

167 - The rescue

“Some kind of problem seemed to have occurred among the participants,” Teacher Sora said while sipping his green tea.“Ah yes,” the Minister responded. The man took a potato chip and ate it. “Jai and Torfo are actually not hard to handle, I know. Torfo is a very good boy, according to Captain Flare. While Jai is your typical good natured village boy. I don't know what happened to the former one though...”Teacher Sora put his cup down on the table. “That, is not what I meant, my sweet.”The Minister smiled knowingly from the insult as he munched on another chip. “Then, do tell me what kind of problem besides the already existing one, my lord.”Teacher Sora chuckled and took his small plate of cake. He spooned a small bit and put the spoon in his mouth. He chewed a little bit before his eyebrows rose both in delight and surprise. "My, that's sweet."The Minister laughed. "Yes. The nun who brought the snacks here said that the cake was made for the ki

168 - He's back

Jai fluttered his eyes open slowly. He could see something white and light green in his blurry eyesight. He blinked his eyes slowly for a couple of times, trying to get the blurriness out of his eyes."Oh, you're awake now, are you? Good," a familiar voice asked beside him.The voice was soft and a little bit cute. The tone was a bit insulting to his ear, but he detected the concern in the voice. When his surroundings had become clear, he saw a familiar nun with curly twintails, right by beside him. Jai noticed a faint glow on his side and he turned to look, and that's when he felt the cool soothing feeling in his abdomen. He realized she was healing him. And he realized he was bare chest, but when he didn't see any visible scar on him, he relaxed. "What have you gotten yourself into, thunder boy?" Asked the nun as she swiped her hands upwards to his chest. The soothing feeling moved slowly along her delic

169 - Lizard Boy and Heavy Flame

Jai and Darrion walked to the dining room and was immediately greeted by a very heartwarming atmosphere. “Brother Jaai!!” the kids shouted cheerfully as they ran and hugged the thunder elemer. Jai chuckled and hugged them back, though his hands could not hug all of them at once. “Hello little friends. How are you this evening?” “Lovely.”“Hungry!”“Amazing now that you’re here!”Those were the replies the children gave him, making smiles and chuckles echoed in the dining room from the people adoring the kids. “You always smell good, Brother Jai,” Amy said while hugging his neck, trying her best to lean on him and savor his scent. He was kneeling on the floor and letting the kids swarmed him. “Yes! Brother Jai smells good! Like Brother Darrion!” Ina said, leaning on the s
