2021-04-28 22:43:06Jai peeked again from behind the tree, noticing the lizards were getting closer. The beasts were still tens of meters, but if his group stayed still for another two or three minutes, he's not sure whether they can run away or not.
He was not trying to exaggerate. Because he remembered his first encounter with these creatures when he was out here with Kefara. They were fast despite their big bodies, and pretty durable. Anyone would need weapons to beat these creatures. And Jai was lucky the other day that he got to stun one of them and ran away.
Jai returned behind the tree and asked the kids, "Ready?"

Jai smiled. "Great. Don't worry. It's just going to be like a game of tag."
"But the ones 'it' are the lizards," Hans said jokingly.
Jai chuckled. "Yes. They are the ones 'it'. Alright. We're a go."
