Chapter 70. Locked Up.

There was little to no resistance, at the end, Malicay passed out with one punch. He had absolutely no idea when he was carried away, and he had no idea how he arrived at where he was, except that he woke up on the floor, to find himself surrounded by unfamiliar faces, dressed in luxurious attires. One that he could never dream to wear.  His body felt sore and he had a splitting headache, he was dizzy and yet, he could not still get his brain to calm down as he was always asking questions on where he was. Suddenly he realised that he was on the cold wooden tile and got up quickly. The eyes of those around him were those filled with curiosity, and he was that curiosity. It was almost as if they had never seen a human before.       Except that they looked pale and had a cold appearance and curious loo

Chapter 71. The Throne.

There was no escaping, for days Malicay was stuck in the palace, wherever he went there was always one or two people following him so he had no option than to give up. "So you are my brother." Malicay's afternoon break had been interrupted by an unknown woman. He was sure the castle had fewer people today, other than his family as the rest had gone to hunt. However she was a face he had never seen and she had just addressed him as her brother. An unexpected twist had arrived as he realised he knew nothing about his family.       He had no intention of greeting her even if he wasn't planning to be rude, he had succeeded in avoiding each and everyone that had approached him, but this girl was different. She was bold and daring, to the extent that she blocked his path until he replied to her question. "I have not a

Chapter 72. A New King.

He hadn't expected to be treated as a Golden egg without a price, but what he got was far worse that he instantly regretted his decision. In order to bring out his hidden ability, he was locked up, beaten, mentally tortured and worse by his father's order. At a point he began to fear the man who called himself his father. He dared not raise his head before his father as it would attract punishment. "A leader deserves respect Emerald, you are my son, and one day you shall take over so I expect the absolute best from you, do not fail me Emerald." His father would tell him. His first kill was at the age of eighteen. The boy who had never hurt a fly was forced to take the life of something bigger than a fly, a deer. For hours he locked himself in his room and wept, his innocence was his weakness and they were bent on breaking that will.

Chapter 73. Anastasia.

Martha. Six years later. That day, while I returned back with the groceries, I found the twins staying as far away from the house as possible. I had to urge them to come in without knowing the situation. Only after that encounter did I know what was going on between the three and why they hid outside. Malicay was unable to live in his own house after that day, he was so furious that he was almost out of control, if it weren't for Mira watching him he would have done something crazy to his brothers. I then had also thought it might have been a misunderstanding until my memories slowly started returning and I  realised I needed to protect Ethan. We were all falling into one big trap, and even Richard was a pawn, I had so many questions like, how I reincarnated, why so many of us had also reinc

Chapter 74. War.

"Martha! Martha!! Martha!!!" Ah. I flinched when I heard my name being called by him. Ethan, who I had spent six years of my life raising, was becoming more and more like the prophecy, he was more than just a cold hearted being. In the past six years, his physical strength and ability had a massive turn, for instance, one night there was a loud cry coming from his room, I rushed there and found that someone had slipped in to assassinate him, but he had killing that person by twisting his neck off and smashing his head. Of course he learnt things like this from his father who has occupied his entire schedule to make sure he stays number one. Ethan has been undefeated in hand to hand combat and martial arts for almost five years now. Not even the guards want to spar with him in fear of losing their own lives. Ethan sighed. "Am not a kid anymore, how many times have I told you to knock before you enter" t

Chapter 75. Where Are They?

Early this morning, I had prepared my mind that I would be leaving to search for help. My only option was to meet the brothers and ask for their cooperation to resolve this issue, sure enough they had annoyed quite a lot of people so it would be very difficult for them to repair any bond or beg for forgiveness right now. I didn't tell Ethan where I was going before I left, I had told him I was going to visit an old friend for a while, and I don't know how long is a while, but I better before Ethan finds out something's wrong.        My first stop was the brothers territories. I had no idea where their territories were, so I had no option than to steal some of the documents containing their location from Ethan and make some photocopies of them, it's too late to turn back now. It was a long drive for me, all

Chapter 76. The Strange Man.

I didn't expect the journey to be easy, but this was beyond hard. For days I have been searching for two people who do not want to be found, they must have really given their all into hiding far away from prying eyes because it  is impossible to find as little as a trace of them. I  was starting to consider calling for back up from people but if I had done that then Ethan and Richard would also probably know, and the least person I want should find out is Richard, because if he does he'll see to it that my plan fails and I suffer dearly for searching for his enemies when he was clearly responsible for what happened and might have as well manipulated the brothers, which is also part of what I'd like to find out. What was it that made them betray their own flesh and blood that easily? Sigh. Apart from the places marked and not marked, I have

Chapter 77. The Stranger Who knows All.

He was as bright as a sunflower the moment I let him explain himself. He clapped his hands cheerfully and stood from my bed, taking me by the hand and forcing me to sit. I wonder, is this part of his hospitality or is she just doing it out of a habit just like his attitude of talking a lot. "I am so glad that you finally agreed to give me a chance and hear me out, I promise you, you won't be bored dear Martha, or should I say Anastasia."  I stand from my bed. Am struck with great disbelief.  Absolutely nobody knows me by that name, and I have not told a single soul about my past memories. Once again, this man manages to make me curious. How does he not fail to amaze me everytime. "Tell me now, who are you? Tell me the truth now, how do you know my past, what are you, are you really a ghost?" As I raise many questions and pour them all on him, he does nothing but sit at a place and s

Chapter 78. Broken Pair.

Am stuck, confused, and speechless at the same time, what do I do, is giving this man my speed really the option especially when I don't know what he has in store for me without my speed. But, if I do not accept his condition then we'll be in an even worse situation, I guess this leaves me with no other choice, whatever happens, happens. "Alright, I'll trade my speed for you to take me there." Once again, he clapped his hands and escorted me towards the door by the shoulder.        "Oh, dear customer, I can't tell you how happy I am that you finally made a deal with me, as part of my gratitude I'll get you there in an exclusive method reserved for you only by yours truly." He opens the door leading me out of my room, and I am amazed. Right before my eyes the view I am exposed to is none other than a forest view. I look back at him, demanding an explanation.

Chapter 79. The Incident.

Malicay's POV   Ah.  I cannot remember when I became the cold hearted monster I became, all I did was simply do as I was taught, I simply followed the rules and did nothing else but still even after I did that, I was deemed a monster. I still remember it like it was yesterday, the day I asked my distant cousin to marry me. It was a simple request, involving two people and me simply saying to her. "Marry me." I would not deny that it sounded more like an order than a request, but at that moment I was desperate for an heir. I turned a deaf ear however I could still recall them whispering behind my back about how incompetent I was.    In order to secure my throne, sometimes I had planted spies in the base of my enemies and had them become their closest aid in order to have eyes and ears on their plots. It was after fin
