The preparation for the march to Kiyosu Castle was almost complete. I was worried about Nobunaga’s numbers. As far as I know, Yoshimoto will be able to round up at least 25,000 troops for his army. Nobunaga currently only has 3,000 in his army. The odds aren’t in Nobunaga’s favor that’s for sure.

I know I promised Nobunaga that I would stay in Zensho-ji but I lied. The moment they start their march, Hideyoshi and I will follow closely. I agreed to Nobunaga’s idea about marrying off children to the other clans to form an alliance without bloodshed. But instead of the children that I’ve been raising, he promised to adopt children of the right age to marry off into those clans. Morally, I don’t agree with this but I have no choice. Even before, to be historically accurate, Nobunaga did marry off his children to the other clans to form an alliance and also to solidify his power over the other daimyos.

Nobunaga is always busy working on his goals and there’s nothing for me to do yet. I’ve spent most of my days with the kids but Nobunaga decided that they should start their training early so I’ve been alone most of the time now.

Oichi has been visiting me occasionally. I’ve been having a lot of fun spending time with her but whenever she’s not here, I’m back to being bored and doing nothing.
