Ieyasu and I went to a nearby tea house. I wanted to ask him about his life after everything that happened. We sat in front of each other and Hideyoshi was next to me. As the tea was being served, I looked at him and observed the changes. He’s grown up so much since the last time I saw him.
Recently, I haven’t been doing anything in particular. The days seemed to last longer and truthfully, I’ve become bored. Nobunaga is always busy working on his goals and there’s nothing for me to do yet. I’ve spent most of my days with the kids but Nobunaga decided that they should start their training early so I’ve been alone most of the time now.
Oichi has been visiting me occasionally. I’ve been having a lot of fun spending time with her but whenever she’s not here, I’m back to being bored and doing nothing. It’s been pretty peaceful lately which was such a breath of fresh air. Ever since I got here, I’ve been thrown into different battles and wars. It’s nice to have this kind of peace once in a while.
Instead of boring myself inside the castle, I took it upon myself to take a walk outside once in a while. I didn’t want to be alone inside the castle anymore so I decided to walk around the training grounds to talk to some of Nobunaga’s vassals and ask them how everything is.
During the past couple of days, I noticed that Nobunaga has been getting increasingly busy. Sometimes he doesn't even return to the Tenshu to sleep. I worry about his health when he's like this but it's really difficult to convince him to stop overworking himself. Also, I've been too distracted with my own fun that it completely slipped my mind about the upcoming events. This is around the time when Mino will fall.I ran down to the room where Nobunaga held his meeting with his vassals. I plan to tell him about my adopted brother's son's plans. When I got there, Nobunaga and the others were already there. as if Nobunaga knew that I was coming, he patted the empty seat next to him. I made my way over to him and I sat down on the spot he had saved for me. The war council is about to begin."Have we gathered enough information about the situation in Mino?" Nobunaga asked. Masamune stood up and lowered his head at Nobunaga before he spoke."The curren
The preparations for the plan against the current daimyo of Mino has begun. Nobunaga asked me not to interfere and just let his men do their work. He also promised me that there will be no bloodshed and he will try not to resort to violence when the plan doesn't go accordingly. I thanked him for his consideration although I would have been fine with it even if he wanted to retaliate against the daimyo of Mino. Nobunaga's vassals were very capable men so I didn't really need to do much. I just had to sit around and wait until everything was ready.
When we took back Mino, Nobunaga had instructed Hideyoshi to rebuild the castle. In my memory, I remember clearly how the Gifu castle looked like. I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit the said castle back in my time. Who would've thought that I would be able to see the Gifu Castle when it was first restored."Would you like to visit the castle?" Nobunaga asked me. I quickly agreed and accepted his offer. I would definitely want to see it after all this time. Nobunaga and I traveled to Mino where the Gifu Castle was. Hideyoshi did a good job restoring the castle and now it's almost complete. The men who were under the previous daimyo had deflected and pledged their allegiance to the Oda forces. Nobunaga stationed them at the Gifu Castle as guards and as a reserve army."We're nearing the castle." Nobunaga told me. We were riding a horse when I saw the castle in the distance. I got excited when I had my first glimpse of Gifu Castle. It was magnificent. I
There was another reason for our move to Gifu. It wasn’t something that Nobunaga had decided on the whim. Gifu Castle would be the best stronghold for when he starts to march towards Kyoto. One of the reasons that Oichi could visit me often in the past was because her husband and Nobunaga were talking about his plans to march to Kyoto. Oichi’s husband was Nobunaga’s biggest support when it came to his plans so he suggested that since Nobunaga’s army has grown and they have gotten stronger, they could attack the shogun and have control over the capital of the country.
During the preparation for Nobunaga's March to Kyoto, there was news from the soldiers stationed at the gate of the castle that two men were here to visit Nobunaga. When the soldier told me about that, I immediately knew who they were. I quickly got out of my chair and practically ran down to where Nobunaga was. He told the soldier to let the two men in. I stood by Nobunaga's side as we waited for the two men to enter the audience hall. The moment they stepped in, I knew what was going to happen next."Lord Nobunaga, we come here to seek your help." The first man spoke as they knelt down in front of Nobunaga and I. I recognized him as the brother of the 13th shogun of the Ashikaga Shogunate, Ashikaga Yoshiaki. If that's him then I can only assume that the person next to him is his bodyguard and another key person in history, Akechi Mitsuhide."Who are you?" Nobunaga asked. The two men raised their heads but they remained kneeling on the floor."I
“Miss, here are the papers that need your signature for the finalization of the Spring Collection that will be featured in our fashion show.” My assistant came into my office and handed me a stack of papers. My name is Nagatsuka Akina, I’m the Founder and CEO of Hanazu Couture. Although my company hasn’t been around for as long as the other famous brands out there, we’ve become a household name in the fashion industry. I’ve worked tirelessly for the last 15 years to make this company what it is today.“Miss, I’ve received a call from...your father.” My assistant reluctantly told me. I had instructed her before that any business with regards to my family, I will not accept. I’ve told her that if anyone called saying they were my immediate family, disregard what they say and blacklist their number so they won’t be able to call again. She
I walked towards the shadow guard who called for me. When I was finally in front of him, he slowly lowered his mask, revealing his face. This was considered taboo for a shadow guard. No one, not even their master should see their faces. That was the only secret they were allowed to keep from their masters. I was surprised when he pulled down his mask."What are you doing?" I asked him frantically. I didn't want him to get into trouble. He shook his head and sat down on the windowsill. He was calm and it didn't seem like he was going to cause trouble. I relaxed my shoulders a bit and I took a step back from him."Why did you do that?" I asked. He was looking down on the floor when I asked that question. He turned his head towards me and shrugged."All this time, I believed that the master that I was serving was a good person. I knew of his story yet I couldn't understand the decision he made." He answered. I wasn't able to recall any memories fr
I didn't know how long I was trapped in my room but it felt like forever. The shadow guards would put water and food down by my door during meal time. I tried talking to them but they were silent as usual. The maids never came around to my room either. Even Mei, who would usually be with me, never came to visit. Did father do something to her? DId she leave or is she just following my father's orders? Either way, I really have to get out of here. All my windows had shadow guards under them. I couldn't even try to escape through them. There was no other way for me to contact the outside world. I was locked up and trapped inside my room. It's been a few days and maybe Prince Shiro will figure something out. Unless my father talked to him about my whereabouts, he would surely try to look for me."Hima..." I heard father's voice on the other side of the door. I walked closer hoping to hear what he had to say."I hope you're not putting your faith o
