Colton seemed to be stunned for a moment. Then, he started to explain himself.

"I didn't mean it that way. Let's continue this conversation at home. I'll come and pick you up."

Phoebe's place wasn't too far from where I worked, so after thinking about it for a while, I didn't reject his offer.

He brought a bouquet of roses and came up.

"Gianna, it's Valentine's Day today. Let's go out on a date."

Colton's eyes were bright and full of anticipation, as if he were waiting for me to pat him on the head for a job well done.

However, I glanced at the flowers and immediately took a step back, covering my nose.

"I'm deathly allergic to pollen. But it's not like you care anyway, right?"
