Chapter 6

After hanging up the phone, Benjamin dialed another number. “Find out who the man Lisa was having an affair with. For betraying me, neither she nor her lover will get away with it.”

I simply watched, indifferent.

Once I was dead, everything from my life became irrelevant. Besides, I no longer loved Benjamin, so why would I care if he misunderstood me?

Benjamin had hired a private investigator, but after days of searching, they couldn’t find any evidence of my infidelity. The investigator finally called him, confirming I hadn’t been unfaithful.

Still, Benjamin refused to believe it. “Then where did that bastard child inside her come from? I’m going to collect every shred of proof of her affair and throw it in her face!”
