Benjamin glanced at the stash of wild berries and the bed of straw laid out on the ground, finally relaxing a bit.

“I knew that woman wouldn’t die. She’s probably hiding somewhere, watching us search for her.”

He turned to look at the thick forest, letting out a cold laugh. “Listen up, Lisa. The moment you show yourself, we’re getting that divorce. Don’t think for a second you can ruin things between me and your sister. If you know what’s good for you, come out and face me. Hiding won’t stop me from divorcing you, so don’t even dream about it.”

My body was right here, not far from where they were standing. If they just walked a little further, they’d find me. However, Benjamin had made up his mind that I was fine, so he led the group out of the forest.
