Chapter 8

"We're here!"

Jane arrived with a few friends in tow. She had brought four people with her—two men and two women.

It was the lady who sold password-locked doors and three of her locksmiths. They brought with them all sorts of lockpicking tools, including a cutting machine.

We quickly rushed to the basement door and began to try to break in.

The door was especially thick, much like the anti-theft ones used at banks. It was so sturdy that even removing the lock cylinder couldn't unlock the door.

In the end, we had no other choice. We pulled a power cord extension over and fired up the cutting machine. The two male lockpicks took turns cutting through the door with the machine.

After two whole hours, the door finally opened.

I switched on the lights in the basement. All of the basement doors were open except for one. Therefore, I went over to open it. Despite pushing it with all my might, it wouldn't budge.

Evidently, someone was in there!
