Matt couldn't take it anymore. He ran out of the study and went to Rachel's place. Rachel, who wore a slip-on nightdress, was about to throw herself at him. "Matt, why are you here?"

He stopped her. "Did you see Catherina leaving with Yarick that day, smiling?"

Rachel's eyes gleamed with guilt and hesitation, but she nodded. "Yeah. What's the matter?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to double-check with you. I'm growing anxious because she's been missing for a while."

"Okay. Catherina is a pretty nice person. I think she must have good reasons to disappear. Yarick is a vicious man, but he treats her very well."

"Does he? Like this?" In the next moment, he grabbed her by the neck. "Explain this! Yarick toyed with your silk scarf and even left me a letter. He said he got the data thanks to you!"

"No! He must be lying. The photo you saw was faked!"

"I didn't once mention any photo."
