Chapter 13

"If you don't get a divorce, then I'll move away from this place. I need to take care of my son, don't I?" Fiona sobbed whilst being half-naked.

My husband's heart ached at such a sight but had a helpless look on his face. "Fiona, I want to divorce Sydney as well, but if I divorce her, then we will have to split our assets. When that happens, she'll own half of this house and the garage."

"Can't she leave with nothing? You're the one who earns the money, why does she get half of everything?" Fiona said sulkily.

I shivered at those words. Fiona was truly a heartless person.

I was the one who stood by my husband when we started from nothing to buying the house, and the car, and starting the garage.

We had worked hard for 20 years together and she wanted me to leave with nothing.

"Well, there's nothing I can do. It's the law. She didn't do anything law and I can't be too heartless," my husband said as he shook his head.

Fiona rolled her eyes and gave my husband an idea.
