Episode 6

Liam was temporarily disorganised by my question, he turned to his brother and they both shared the same countenance, it was of fear and unbalanced.

"Ava, why don't you go to your dorm and I'll see you later this evening,".

Elijah, as usual, diverted from answering my question. What is so difficult in letting know the truth of what happened to Luna Margaret and her family, Did the council of elders give us a command because they were so frightened by her nature, given that she wasn't just a werewolf but a witch as well and that makes her superior. Two times stronger than the werewolf council.

I went back to my dorm as Elijah had instructed, Lola was about to leave the room when we both bumped into each other at the door, I was trying to go in and she was heading out in her tight gown.

"Let me guess? You have another date with your secret boyfriend?".

I whispered to her, trying not to wake the matron that guides the hallways of the girl's dorm.

Lola hushed me and dragged me inside.

"Calm down! Be careful please? I don't want Mrs Nita to come here and find me dressed,".

She whispered back, her concerns or do I alter fear was funny and childlike.

I remembered when I used to sneak out, and how my rebellious life had caused the death of my other friends, if only I hadn't Left, if only we hadn't chosen to go astray from the academy's rules, I would have still had my friends with me.

Lola's date phoned her, asking her to come outside and meet him by the love garden, she wanted us to go, nevertheless, I didn't want to be a third wheel in their romantic date, I'd rather stay indoors and work out a solution on how to get rid of Luna's spirit inside of me.

I refused to go with her by making up an excuse.

I shut the door after Lola's departure and hit the book, the long history book given to me by Elijah. It has more than a hundred pages, and inside those words, some rules and solutions can help me remove Luna Margaret's soul from my body.

The first page was nothing but stories of our old forefathers, how much, they've sacrificed for us and whatnot! There was nothing about Luna Margaret, and how to get rid of her, but while I was reading, I passed through the faces of the old werewolf council and their names, everyone was there aside from one person. Luna Margaret's husband.

I can clearly remember my last history class, there were seven elders but one of the elders there wasn't recorded.

And this leads me to believe that, Luna Margret's husband may or may not be dead.

Immediately, I ran to the one place for answers, and that was the library, the library was the one place anyone could sort answers, not all but the ones that had to do with the council and may also have the truth about what happened to Luna Margaret's husband.

"Ava! What are you doing here?".

I met Witch Alana at the library, who knew Witches in her golden age still had to read. I thought they were knowledgeable about everything.

"I came to read,".

I glanced through the catalogue of all the sectors in the library.

"Read? About what? Don't tell me you're done with the books Elijah had given to you for knowledge?".

She collected the other catalogues and was glancing through them.

I first searched for the sector which had the history of the olden werewolf council and then raised my head above the book and asked her.

"Do you perhaps know what happened to Luna Margaret's husband?". I asked her, waiting for her answer.

"Oh! Why do you ask?". She leaned and became cold and distant.

"I ... I want to know, it's urgent I know what happened, right?". I allowed her to answer, after all, she and the others, are the ones helping me in getting rid of Luna Margaret and I don't think I should be kept in the dark about the truth, I want her gone the same way that they do...

"Fine! I'll tell you the truth"...

She was generous enough to speak up.

We came to the chair in the library and sat down, our eyes ogling each other's faces.

"Ava! You're right to ask me such a question,".

Witch Alana started the confession but was a bit hesitant to continue.

"Okay! So, Luna's husband is alive right?".

I answered her by asking another question...

Witch Alana nodded her head.

"Yes! He is alive". She confirmed my suspicions.

"Okay! That's great because he can be the one to stop his wife from her vengeful spite against us,".

I saw a ray of hope, however, it began to rain darkness once again when Witch Alana debunked my statement.

"No! He cannot help us,". She disapproved.

"Why ? What happened, isn't he alive?". I further asked her again.

She confirmed Luna's husband to be alive, however, he wasn't in a state to do anything, talkless of facing his wife.

That didn't make sense to me, and so she further explained the predicament of Luna's husband, having brought Elijah and Liam into the picture.

They have kept Luna's husband's existence a secret, however, she claims that it was for a Reason and the good of everyone.

How would stopping a husband from meeting with his wife be good for everyone? I don't understand.

"Who's there?" the library lady interrupted us. "You shouldn't be here without permission, especially outside school hours." she yelled, disoriented.

Alana and I had to put a stop to our conversation. She went back to her chambers, and I was escorted to mine by the hallway matron, who had received a complaint from the library lady.

The following day, I woke up and my roommate was sleeping soundly in her bed, she must've come in during the early hours of the morning.
