Episode 5

Lola submitted the flag, and Mrs Tori kept it behind her desks, we were seated on our chairs and endured through the remaining time.

Later, we were given the concert tickets and also permitted to go.

We got to the dorm, and Lola hurried to the bathroom to change, I waited for her to round up and after she finished, I grabbed my towel and walked into the bathroom to freshen up.

Afterwards, Lola turned off the lights and went to bed, I kinda struggled to move freely without bumping into things, but the idea of turning on the light ran through my mind, I wasn't willing to let Lola grumble, especially when she woke up from her slumber..

I managed to reach my bed without having to turn on the lights, I lay down, keeping my head on the small pillow and then went to sleep.

The next morning was disastrous because I woke up in the middle of a commotion happening in the lady's dorm.

Lola and I ran outside to see what was going on, and right at our doors, we were met with an unsettling scene...

Two ladies were seriously fighting with each other. The combat was beyond separation that they had to call some of the female teachers available for help.

I was too exhausted to stand and watch.

So, I got back inside and laid on my bed.

"Hey! Aren't you getting ready for class?".

Lola asked me, she was taking out her clothes from inside the wardrobe.

"Class? I'm too exhausted!!?". I placed my face away and I grumbled.

"Com'on; don't be a lazy ass". Lola made a joke, it didn't quite feel like one but I wasn't in the right Frame of mind to analyse everything...

I grumbled while ambling inside of the bathroom. I took time before coming out, I had taken so long to finish bathing because Lola had to leave without me.

I changed and grabbed my school bag for class.

It was history, a long two-hour class talking about our forefathers and how much they've sacrificed for my sake. But I ask? What exactly did they sacrifice?..

I had to listen regardless of how many dilemmas there would in if they didn't have to take on certain decisions, and I wondered, did they also have to kill a woman and her entire family because they assumed she'd grow up and become a threat?..

"Ava; do you perhaps have a question?"...

Mr George asked me, I must've thought so loud that he heard them.

"No sir!". I answered, after analysing the repercussion of my words.

Would asking about Luna Margaret, be of interest or will he become angry?

"Okay! Sit down". He ordered me and then went back to write on the white marker board.

I sat down and didn't utter a word.

Immediately after classes were over, Lola and I rushed over to the cafeteria for the infamous Cake Bread. We were the first persons to be given a hot and soft cake bread, going back to our chairs to sit, I felt a shock in my heart, I ignored it the first time it happened, but the moment it occurred the second and third time, I unexpectedly let go of my tray, fall to the ground and began to cry for help.

Lola assisted me out of the cafeteria and to the principal's office, Elijah and Liam were there, for two people who weren't with her they seemed to be present everywhere at the school.

"How do you feel Ava?"

Elijah slowly pressed my chest.

"Not good". The more he continues pressing on my chest, the more painful it gets.

Liam suggested help from Alana the Witches, Alana came and the second she laid eyes on my weak body lying on a wooden table, she opened her bag and took out a half ginger..

"Hey! Chew on this, and you'll be fine".

Her voice was reassuring and I was on the edge of asking for my heart to be taken out.

I chunk almost half of a ginger.

And shortly after, the pains disappeared.

"Whoa! I feel good". I told everyone who had a worrisome expression on their Face.

Lola was sent out to get a cup of tea from the cafeteria, and while she was yet to return, Elijah began asking questions.

"Alana, do you know what happened to Ava?".

He shifted from his brother.

Alana looked at me and then came back to him with a response.

"Yes! It was Luna Margaret, trying to take charge of her body".

She deciphers everything to our understanding.

Elijah and the rest feared.

"We have to find a way to stop that from happening". Liam laid out a suggestion.

"Exactly! We have to". Mr Fred seconded.

I turned to Elijah, wanting to hear his response.

"I think, we should find a wake to get her back to the human world and free Ava from her evil".

Elijah worries about me, he inclines his head that if I keep on having such a powerful Luna In my body, it will be a matter of time before she corrupts me and I become as evil as her.

Liam asked witch Alana to do everything she could to locate the exact tomb Luna Margaret was being buried in.

Alana obediently shook her head and left.

If Elijah and his brother, fear for Luna Margaret's arrival, it would become a blood bath when she comes.

"Ava! Is there something you'd like to ask me?" Elijah looked at my face and immediately knew that there was something wrong.

Do I ask him about Luna Margaret or keep quiet?

"Please, tell us, Ava... We are here to help you"

Liam sided with his brother...

Seeing they were eager to know what was running through my mind, I decided to ask them questions about Luna Margaret.

"Did the council of elders, make a collective decision to kill Luna Margaret and her family, because they fear she might be a threat to them?".
