Chapter 13 Zacharias Slaps Yvonne

Zacharias frowned at Yvonne. "Where are you going?"

Yvonne hung her head low and took Brady with her as she retreated. "N-Nowhere."

Zacharias didn't look happy at all, and he gave Yvonne a warning look. "Put the boy down, get showered, and get changed. We're leaving."

A scared Yvonne was still retreating. "I'm not going."

"It's Lara's birthday today. You're going whether you like it or not!" Zacharias said coldly.

Yvonne looked at him in fear. "I-I'm not going."

"Don't push your luck, Yvonne. Lara's in bad health, and she's only inviting you out of the kindness of her heart, so know your place." Zacharias only agreed to invite Yvonne so Lara wouldn't be unhappy.

Yvonne was shaking. Lara's birthday was her birthday too, but she had forgotten all about it. She had no right to celebrate her birthday, and she was too scared to. Sometimes she wondered what would happen if she had died the day she was born.

There was no time machine, however.

"Zacharias, please, can I not go?" Yvonne begged
