Chapter 30

Jade's footsteps became soft and cold.

She walked to the bed with deep breaths and frozen heart.

There laid her husband in another woman's arms.

They slept naked in the bed, holding each other as their legs entangled.

Her cold palms turned into frozen fists. She became rooted to the floor few inches away from the bed.

She stared down on them with contempt, laced with disgust.

A sweet sour flavor of betrayal hit the back of her throat, making her nauseous with anger.
